Had an amazing experience at this café! The food was absolutely delicious, and the patio being dog-friendly made it even better. The service was warm and attentive throughout. Their pancakes are easily some of the best in the city—definitely a spot I’ll keep coming back to!

We visited Lazy Daisy’s for their Lazy Bear collaboration featuring the BEAR steak sandwich, and overall it was such a fun brunch experience.

The Lazy Bear was definitely one of the highlights. Tender medium rare flank steak stacked onto one of their famous biscuits with white gravy, pickled onions, jalapeños, and a sunny side egg. It was loaded but still surprisingly easy to bite into, and the steak itself was super tender.

The Rise n Fry completely stole the show for us though. The fried chicken was massive, juicy, and packed with flavour on a toasted jalapeño and 3-cheese biscuit with honey butter and spinach. Messy to eat, but absolutely worth it. We would honestly come back just for the chicken and biscuits alone.

We also tried the blueberry lemonade, which was super refreshing for a summer patio day and made with their house blueberry syrup, though slightly too sweet for our taste. The honey lavender latte was smooth and floral, but we wished the lavender and honey came through a little stronger.

The side salad was a really nice fresh addition between bites of the heavier sandwiches and helped balance everything out.

Orlando was amazing throughout the meal and helped guide our order. Super friendly, attentive, and welcoming.

The space itself is adorable. Cozy farmhouse café vibes inside and an incredibly cute pet-friendly patio outside with lots of greenery, flowers, and natural light. It’s easy to see why so many people love coming here for brunch.

Overall, Lazy Daisy’s feels warm, welcoming, and very community-oriented, with comfort food that fully leans into their famous biscuit concept.

Just the cutest little brunch date place! The atmosphere is warm and comforting, the food is delicious and the price point is approachable.
My partner and I will definitely be coming back because I am dying to try the cinnamon roll pancakes!
Special shout out to our server Alea because she was so kind and patient without hovering!

I heard some hype for Lasy Daisy’s online especially for the pancakes and for the Mennonite bacon so we decided to come here on a Friday afternoon, luckily we didn’t have to wait for table.

Lazy Daisy’s is located in an awesome neighbourhood and there were multiple shops surrounding that area that we wanted to stop by after so this was a huge plus for us.

We ordered the standard brekkie with the bacon, the son of a rise breakfast sandwich, and then a side order of the cinnamon bun pancakes.

The standard brekkie was standard as it's name says, there wasn’t anything too outstanding on the plate for me— this includes the Mennonite bacon (what's the hype over Mennonite bacon anyways??). The breakfast sandwich was also pretty standard to me, though I do think the biscuit shell was delicious.

The cinnamon pancakes definitely will remind you of cinnamon buns including the glaze that they include with it which is reminiscent of cinnamon bun icing. However I don’t think it’s the best I’ve had in Toronto.

If we’re in the area again I would love to try some other items like the Mac and cheese!

Went here with my partner on a Satursay afternoon.
Were seated immediately.
They are known for their buttermilk biscuits and those were delicious
We got the lox and loaded and the due south.
The food was good but the service was extremely slow especially for a place that wasn't too packed

Cozy spot that has adorable decor for brunch. The staff are just as positive and friendly as you would expect from this cute place. Great menu with locally sourced ingredients. Too bad we weren't thrilled with the food - mac&cheese was bland and chicken was dry. Probably will go back to try other menu items because of the service and location.

Such a quaint and adorable café with an amazing menu! Best place to bring your friends or family. The cinnamon roll pancakes were perfectly fluffy and sweet. They are pretty large but they’re perfect to share with another person. The sandwiches were tasty especially with the garlic mayo and fried chicken. This is my fourth time visiting and it’s such a special treat whenever I do. The staff are super kind and they work extra hard to ensure everyone is served well.

I have ordered here a few times on a couple delivery apps and I have purchased this cafes frozen biscuits and loved both those experiences! So I thought why not pop in for a bite. The food was great - the strawberry coconut tart was just the loveliest, definitely try that. The service was a little too casual for my taste and I personally wouldn’t dine in again. I will still support this small business in the ways I have in the past - retail and delivery. The decor is cheerful and upbeat, really cute.

Went on a Monday afternoon and it was completely dead! I would totally suggest going there then as I can imagine during the week it’s crazy busy.

Got a breakfast sandwich on a jalapeño biscuit and it was phenomenal as well as the jalapeño cheddar sausage which was also delicious. My friend got the breakfast wrap which she also said was amazing.

Cute spot in Toronto for brunch. The food was quite unique, but portions looked pretty small for what you’re paying for.

The BLT sandwich was very good! The grilled cheese was so-so. I also had an oatmeal chocolate chip cookie which was great!!

P.S. if anyone was interested:
Lazy Daisy is featured in the coxwell-Gerrard docuserie, in which the owner insulted the classic Coffee Time we used to have in the neighbourhood for bringing in “unwanted clientele” 😅

Highly recommend the cinnamon roll pancakes. Such a delicious treat. The maple syrup is a bit excessive but so so good!

Great biscuits and great full breakfast. Amazing staff. It can be a long wait though.

Lazy daisy is one of our favourite breakfast spots in this neighbourhood. Today we were advised of a 35 minute wait for a table for two but were able to sit at the counter right away. We had the rise & fry, son of a rise, and a short stack of cinnamon bun pancakes (2). Everything was delicious. For both sandwiches we agreed that the biscuit was the best part. We would definitely recommend and be back

Lazy daisy’s is a go to for east end brunch! I love that a lot (if not, all) their eggs and meats are locally sourced.
The food is always spot on!
The servers are super friendly and attentive, even when it’s super busy. (If you go in the weekend, be prepared to wait for a table as they do get busy)
I love the breakfast burrito, and the breakfast sandwhich on their biscuit.
Mac and cheese also is delicious.
I also got a strawberry matcha the other day and it was super yum!

Zero stars but no option - for terribly rude team of servers, really inefficient staff and extremely unprofessional. Once we got the table after 1 hours of wait, they took forever to deliver the sad quality of food and my kid was served a wrong order despite that we requested to serve the kids first as they were hungry. I reminded them for 30 mins about the wrong order, they saw my kid crying and were laughing at the situation. I have never witnessed this situation ever in my life and I hope it never happens again to my kid and us. Mistakes happen but instead of fixing the problem - it’s a terrible thing to make a joke of the situation or give mean looks to the customers and delay the request even more intentionally is super horrible.

I feel disappointed to spend a lot on this cafe for years. Please never go to this place if you have kids and would like to have a nice time with them in a good environment!

Had their Son-Of-A-Rise breakfast sandwich which was egg, bacon, avocado and also tried their Biscuits with Sausage Gravy, with eggs on top, and then a side of fried Chicken thigh.

I'll break it all down for you starting with the biscuits and Gravy. First off , I understand that biscuits and gravy is not always the most appealing dish to order in terms of presentation, but to be honest when the plate was placed in front of me, i was strongly put off by the look. I'm a huge foodie, and was excited to give this a place a try, some put aside the initial negative impression and dug right in!

The gravy didn't not have a normal "gravy" texture, it was more like an oatmeal texture, almost goopy. To be frank it wasn't that the gravy was off-putting in terms of taste, rather, it was that it just had NO flavor! I had to hit it with a good amount of salt, black pepper and hot sauce to taste anything. Couldn't taste the sausage in the gravy but I assume there was some there, which is what I presume gave it that "oatmeal" type of texture with all the chunks. The biscuit was not enjoyable because it didn't hold up well with the oatmeal , I mean gravy! The biscuit was all mushy, so couldn't get to enjoy the biscuit much, which is what they're known for. The eggs on top were unseasoned, dry and lacked flavor.

The dish came with a side of tomato slices which I found an odd pairing but out of the entire dish the tomatoes were probably the most redeeming part of the dish as it was a nice escape from the tasteless gravy and biscuits. The tomato was also firm and fresh tasting, not mealy or sour , which was nice.

Ok so for the fried chicken. Let's start with the positive. The chicken was moist, a decent size, and was de-boned, which made it easy to eat. The problem was that again there was no flavor in the chicken. I'm not a stickler for complex Michelin star flavour profiles here, I really just wanted the thing to be properly seasoned with, maybe some salt ? The chicken tasted like there was not even any seasoning used in the batter. It was similar to the gravy - just BLAND. The crust was crunchy, and flaky, but I found most of it fell off while you tried to eat it. Again I added some salt and black pepper to try and "create" some flavour here. Didn't happen.

I only had two bites of the breakfast sandwich so won't spend too much time here. No major positives or negatives other than again, it just honestly lacked flavour.

The service? The service I would say is inconsistent. It took forever for our waitress to come to us to take our order. However I noticed folks seated after us , had their server come to them right away and take their orders. It's a bit chaotic in there, so perhaps that's where the problem is. We went on a weekend and it does get very busy, and loud. This is not the place you want to go to enjoy a calm atmosphere and be able to have a conversation with the people you're dining with. You can tell this is very much a neighborhood type of diner, with regulars, families and small children. This is probably one of the only redeeming qualities that it feels like it's a very mom-and-pop community oriented place to dine, so I'll give it that.

If you're in the neighborhood, and there's no wait, sure try it out. But do not go out of your way to dine here. Food is bland, it's over -hyped, and the food is kinda forgetful, with inconsistent service. Again, the food wasn't horrible it was just nothing to rave about. "Basic" and and "mid" are the two terms that come to mind when I think of this place.

Longtime fan of this place and its absolutely heavenly buttermilk biscuits that are somehow crispy, chewy, crumbly, and crazily buttery in all the right places.

Haven't been in awhile so got the Mother Clucker delivered, and liked it: Fried chicken was tender and juicy, a bit overly coated and charred for my taste, but nicely spiced. Grandma's bread was soft yet crisped perfectly and super tasty. And the jalapeño cheddar, butter and pickles just accentuated the sweet spicy taste of the sandwhich.

Overall, this place is a consistent yum.
