St Urbain Bagel
Located inside St. Lawrence Market, St. Urbain Bagel is Toronto's favourite destination for the freshest authentic bagels
The bagels were quite bland and lacked volume. If there would not have been bacon on it, then it would have tasted of barely anything, so some kind of sauce or at least salt & pepper would really help on that front.
We also gave the cheddar craigle a chance and that was ok. With enough cheddar, fluffy texture and pretty good size.

Nice bagels overall and definitely worth trying. The Jerusalem onion bagel was the standout for me super fresh, flavorful, and had a really nice texture. You can tell the bagels themselves are made well. The vegan cream cheese was decent but a little underwhelming since it didn’t have much flavor and could’ve been creamier or more seasoned. The turkey was unfortunately the low point because it had a slightly weird smell that threw me off a bit. Aside from that, the quality of the bagel itself really carried the experience. I’d come back again mainly for the bagels, especially the Jerusalem onion one.

St Urbain Bagel Bakers always lights me up — no matter how many years it’s been.
That bagel sandwich? Still something I genuinely look forward to every time. Warm, perfectly chewy, just the right crisp on the outside — and the ingredients are so fresh you can taste it in every bite. Simple, honest, and done really well.
It’s one of those places that just gets it right. No fuss, no drama — just consistently great food.
Some habits are worth keeping… this is definitely one of mine. ❤️

Was at St. Lawrence Market to grab a few things and hadn't had a bagel in awhile, so decided to stop by to grab a couple to take home to use for breakfast the next day.
Saw that they had Craigels (bagels made with croissant pastry), so got 2 of the Cheese ones.
There were a few people in line ahead of me, but the staff were pretty good with taking orders and getting them out. Cashier was friendly and polite.
The Craigels were exactly what you would think they tasted like -- a little flaky on the outside, soft inside, and buttery.

Good bagelshop! Had myself a whole weat everything bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese with chives and an assortment veggies (red onion, tomato, crisp salad and capers). Missed some cracked pepper on top, but it was all in all a fine, tasty bagel. Recommended

They are a nice spread of bagel options to choose from... Lots of vegan dips as well.... I got the onion and the whole wheat everything bagel... Loved the onion one... There was a long queue and the service was very slow... It took around 15 to 20 minutes to get my order.,... Inside the St Lawrence market...
Pretty underwhelming.
I had the smoked salmon on pumpernickel and everything bagel. The cream cheese was smooth and generously spread. But the bagels themselves were rather disappointing. No chew, no warmth, no real texture. They felt flat— more like something you’d grab in a grocery aisle than from a place that specializes in bagels.
On top of this, the wait wasn’t worth it for the quality of food we received. There wasn’t a line, but it still took too long for only two bagels to come out.
It’s not terrible, just forgettable. If you’re already nearby and craving a bagel, it’ll do the job. I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

If you like bagels, this is your place! We ordered the lox bagel (I recommend the chive cream cheese) and it was so scrumptious. The wait was a bit longer but it was worth it. They don’t chintz out on the lox; the flavours and textures came together so well. We were pleasantly surprised!
I see comments here complaining about the price… this place offers quality over quantity. We bought a stack and cut & frozen them so we can eat them during the week.
We’ll be back!
The craigel is worth the hype! First time trying to craigel with egg+BLT and it didn’t disappoint. The staff is friendly and everything is made fresh. Be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes for your order, and the items are definitely on the more expensive side $$$$. If you want a unique breakfast sandwich- I recommend giving it a try!
Breakfast here is truly unmatched. I usually go for the Turkey BLT with fried egg and cream cheese. It’s absolutely worth waiting in line for. I tried their sweet bagels once but didn’t enjoy them much though I know many people love them, so it’s just personal taste.
The only downside is the customer service. It’s often rushed and not very friendly, likely due to how busy the place gets. Still, I love their breakfast options so much that whenever I’m near Lawrence Market, this is always my go-to spot.
