The Keg Mansion Steakhouse
You'll find a truly comfortable and satisfying dining atmosphere accompanied by a fun and casual bar setting. Each is a welcoming destination on its own, and together they create an energetic and inviting, uniquely gratifying restaurant experience. The Keg is a casual steakhouse with a contemporary flavor - an attractive combination for any occasion.
We came here on our first night in Toronto based on a recommendation given to my wife. We were not disappointed, the place was virtually full for a Saturday night, the service was exemplary and not rushed as others have felt. We ordered two different steaks, both cooked to perfection and enjoyed it with the Canadian pinot noir. It was good value and comparable to UK stakehouse prices. Highly recommend the peppercorn sauce also
This review is way past due. The Keg Mansion has been my favorite restaurant since I was a kid. I grew up celebrating my birthday there every year, and even now I still continue the tradition. When my boyfriend and I first started dating, I introduced him to it and we ended up going almost every month as it quickly became our favorite restaurant together too.
The atmosphere, prices, and quality of food are honestly amazing. It never feels overpriced, especially for what you get. Everything is consistently delicious and the service is always so friendly and welcoming.
My absolute must-orders every time:
• Mushroom Neptune (somehow my favorite appetizer even though I don’t even like mushrooms. I could genuinely finish the whole dish myself)
• The baked brie appetizer (so good every single time!)
• Filet mignon medium rare for my main (cooked perfectly every visit, and the seasoning is so good!)
All Keg locations are great and very consistent, but The Keg Mansion will always be my favorite. Definitely recommend!
Even though they were incredibly busy, the service, food and atmosphere were amazing. To start with that astonishing historical building, you will surely enjoy even the walk to the washroom 😆. Lindsay was our server and she made sure to always check if our table needed anything or not, in the right amount, not every 1 minute. Aside from that we ordered the Prime Rib steak and New York strip loin that was always amazing. Wine and feature cocktails were also delicious. Make sure to make a reservation, they get busy.
Prices are no different from any regular The Keg, worth to go
If you’re looking for a place with amazing food and top-tier service, The Keg Mansion is definitely one of the best. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and really knew the menu well, which made the whole experience even better.
The food was absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked perfectly—juicy, flavorful, and exactly how we wanted it. Every dish we ordered tasted high quality, and even the sides and dessert were just as good. You can really tell they pay attention to every detail.
The ambiance is also something special. The mansion setting gives it a cozy but elegant vibe, perfect for a date night or even a simple but memorable dinner.
Overall, it was such a great experience. Amazing food, excellent service, and a beautiful atmosphere. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it.
Came here for a kid-free date night and had a mixed experience overall.
We had a reservation but still waited about 15 minutes for our table, which is understandable on a busy Saturday night. However, we were seated in a very tight corner that felt cramped and overdue for attention. The space could benefit from a proper deep clean as there were visible old food remnants in the nook where I was seated, which is not something you want to notice while dining.
On the food side, The Keg continues to deliver. We started with the tuna tartare, bacon-wrapped scallops, and caesar salad; all very well prepared. For mains, we had the New York Strip and Filet Mignon, both cooked and seasoned perfectly. We also had the crème brûlée for dessert, which was a great way to end the meal.
Service was a highlight. Our server, Arvin, was excellent! Attentive, professional, and easily a 5-star experience on his own.
We’ve been coming to this location once or twice a year for over 20 years, and one thing that remains true is that The Keg’s food is consistently reliable and generally worth the price across locations. That said, the physical condition of this particular space is starting to impact the overall experience. With some investment in upkeep and cleanliness, this could easily return to being a top-tier spot.
For our 5 year anniversary we came out for the keg and was a lovely landscape, the rooms are beautiful and the food well it's the keg never anything but subpar!! Only issues was unfortunately the sever seem to rush us when at table, and made it hard to keep up with standard restaurant rhythm. We got our food and ate, non checked on u til we finish 20 mins later and was drinks empty and no server around to ask. When attended seem as if he wanted us to rush and leave, just wished had more time.
There’s something wildly indulgent about stepping into The Keg Mansion on a Monday — like you’ve hacked the calendar and decided the week works for you now.
The moody wood panels. The checkerboard floors. The chandeliers whispering “you deserve this.” It’s giving Victorian drama meets steakhouse comfort.
We parked ourselves at the bar and let the pros take over. The bartenders suggested the Spicy Watermelon Margarita… and reader, I never looked back. 🌶🍉
It was bright, refreshing, with just enough heat to say “I have personality.” That chili rim? A supporting actor worthy of awards.
Happy hour also delivered:
-Tender, juicy prime rib sliders that felt illegal for a Monday
-Bacon-wrapped scallops doing their smoky, buttery thing
-That iconic warm bread with whipped butter (the kind you pretend you’ll just “have a bite” of)
It’s the kind of place where Monday stops being a complaint and becomes a choice. Cozy bar lighting, attentive staff who genuinely guide you to greatness, and food that feels both classic and indulgent.
Five stars for turning a random Monday into a “we should do this more often” night.
Pro tip: trust the bartenders. Especially when they say spicy watermelon margarita.

Dining at The Keg Mansion is always such a memorable experience. The historic building itself is stunning — elegant, cozy, and full of character. It truly feels like you’ve stepped back in time while still enjoying a modern, upscale atmosphere.
The service was exceptional from start to finish especially Ruth. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Our steaks were cooked perfectly — tender, flavorful, and exactly as ordered. The sides and cocktails were just as impressive.

A Constant in a Shifting City
There is a specific kind of nostalgia that smells like a medium-steak and a loaded baked potato. When I was a kid, The Keg was the definition of "fancy" the place you went when a moment actually mattered.
Even as an adult, that hasn't changed; whether it’s a work celebration or a birthday, it remains the gold standard for a meal that feels like a reward.
I found myself standing outside the Keg Mansion today just taking in the architecture. It is, quite simply, gorgeous a reminder that some things in Toronto still hold their gravity and their beauty.
But beyond the heritage stone and the atmosphere, it’s the consistency that hits. You go for that specific steak, that perfect baked potato, and the feeling of a world that slows down just enough for you to enjoy it. It’s been a part of my memory since I was small, and standing there today, it felt just as vital as it did back then. It’s not just a restaurant; it’s a landmark in the story of my life.

The Keg Mansion is in a lively part of Toronto and it’s gorgeous. We are greeted warmly at the entrance and after a short wait we are escorted upstairs to our table. Walking up the stairs reminded me of when I visited decades ago. I love when things are preserved like this, yet modernized. The noise level was moderate for a busy weekend evening yet our table was warm and we had no trouble talking amongst eachother. Food was great and everyone went out of their way to treat my little one special. Great spot - keep up good work! 💚

We had such a great night at The Keg Mansion! The atmosphere is truly unique — the historic building gives it such a special and cozy vibe.
I’ve been to other The Keg locations before, but this was my first time at this one, and I absolutely loved it. The setting feels different and more memorable compared to the other branches.
Our server was very professional, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and everything felt smooth and well organized.
Definitely one of my favorite Keg experiences so far. We’ll be back!

We enjoyed the Mansion atmosphere of the restaurant. Our meals were delicious and properly prepared. Our disappointment was with the kitchen management. About 40 minutes after ordering our meals, just as we expected them to be delivered we were informed by the wait staff that 2 of the 4 meals we order were no longer available. The wait staff was very apologetic and embarrassed, not to mention we were upset by the situation. Ultimately we ordered different meals and the staff provided those meals and our dessert choices at no charge to us to make up for the inconvenience. Definitely a great meal and memorable evening. Ownership of the restaurant need to address their kitchen management issues.
Quite a disappointment. Yearly outing with the family and extremely disappointing table was not what I asked for. The waiter was so disconnected. Ordered a 14-year-old single malt, three of them plus three Guinness and neither of them were actually served correctly. Six or seven ice cubes in the single mulch and the Guinness was served in a normal glass and when asked about this, the waiter didn't have any response. Only once visited while we were at the table eating the fries were cold. The steak
Was dry and by the time I got my condiments, the horseradish and the mustard I'd already finished 2/3 of my steak. Extremely disappointing for such a stable restaurant and distinguished name the keg mansion, yes, I got a reduction on my drinks but really the whole experience was not what I really expected or what I'd experienced before. I find it was just not the keg mansion. The Mac mansion. It seemed to be very generic non-caring and really bad experience
Absolutely horrible experience. I booked a month in advance for a group of 15 women. 2 hrs before the event I get a call from the restaurant trying to change our table. At the dinner the food was cold and the food also took so long to arrive. Acoustics are horrible you had to yell at dinner and the atmosphere is old and tired. I get it’s a historical mansion but it seriously needs an update.
I have been frequenting the Keg Mansion as one of my best go to steak restaurants for the last 25 years. The food is always great and if they miss a step they eagerly correct it immediately. 18 ounce Prime Rib, massive Rib Steak, huge Baseball Sirloin, mushrooms Neptune, artichoke dip, Cesar salad and Keg sized spicy Cesar topped with Jumanji (celery, beans, pickles, pimento olives and Tabasco). The deserts are great and we usually get Billy Miner ice cream cake with chocolate and caramel drizzle and slivered almonds. Never a dull moment, nice ambiance, nice atmosphere and fairly quiet for the most part. Can’t wait to go back!
Dining at The Keg Mansion is more than just a meal—it’s a full experience. From the moment you step through the doors, you’re greeted by the striking architecture and rich history of the old mansion. The dim lighting, stained glass windows, grand staircase, and wood-paneled rooms create an ambiance that’s both elegant and a little mysterious. It’s the kind of place that feels intimate yet full of character, making it perfect for date nights, special occasions, or even just a cozy evening out.
Now, let’s talk about the food—because it lives up to the setting. I ordered the New York Striploin, and it was cooked to absolute perfection—juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The Mushrooms Neptune (a Keg classic) were rich and satisfying, and the caesar salad was fresh with just the right amount of dressing. My partner had the prime rib, and it was easily one of the best we’ve had—melt-in-your-mouth good.
What really stood out, though, was the service. Our server was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable about the menu, and made great wine recommendations. Every interaction felt genuine and thoughtful.
If you're looking for a place that combines great food, atmosphere, and top-notch service, The Keg Mansion is hard to beat. A true Toronto gem.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Keg Steakhouse for my daughter’s birthday and it was an experience worth recommending. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed with their warm and attentive service. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, professional, and eager to ensure we had a great time — something that really elevated the overall atmosphere. We started the evening with the baked Brie, which was perfectly creamy and paired beautifully with the accompanying crostini and sweet toppings. It was a fantastic appetizer that set the tone for the meal. For the main course, I opted for the bone-in rib steak, and it did not disappoint. Cooked exactly to my preference, the steak was incredibly juicy, rich in flavor, and had a satisfying charred crust that steak lovers will appreciate. The portion size was generous and well worth the price. The sides were well-executed, complementing the star of the plate nicely. The drink menu offered a solid selection of wines and beers, and our server was helpful in recommending pairings that matched well with our meal. The wine we chose enhanced the flavors of the steak beautifully. The ambiance was cozy yet upscale, making it ideal for both date nights and special occasions. A word to the wise make a reservation, as the restaurant does get busy, especially during peak hours. Finally, the Ice cream cake for the birthday girl made her day. All in all, The Keg delivers on food, service, and experience. They also I’ll definitely be returning!
The Keg Mansion in downtown Toronto is one of my favorite spots! It is the epitome of cozy and elegant! The staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is wonderful! The warm Brie with pepper jelly and pesto was so creamy and delicious! The wedge salad is a crispy classic, gotta love the blue cheese dressing! I can't say enough about the Prime Rib! Tender and delicious! Watch out for that horseradish, it has a kick!
