It’s a great atmosphere and beautiful views but that’s all you will get. My family and I went on a not so busy night. The front host had to continually page for another hostess to come seat us, wait time about 12 mins. We were seated and waited about 15 mins without any acknowledgment from the waiter or waitress who was responsible for our table and when I asked the hostess who seated us who was responsible for our table, she looked in shock and said let me go get them. I watched a bunch of employees congregating leisurely for about 5 minutes before we decided to leave. So any review you see that says similar things, believe it!

I had the porterhouse it was amazing and so were the apps. The Wagyu dumplings, octopus and Brussels sprouts were also incredible. The only downside was our waiter seemed to be busy working the bar so the service could have been a lot better.

The food is delicious, drool worthy. Each dish is presented beautifully no detail missed. The staff is very attentive and kind. Taking a moment to get to know their customer. That special feeling speaks volumes. Seyam definitely made possible. The beats playing in the background adds to a spectacular evening!!

Enjoyed every single bite! Every item on the plate was beyond fabulous and tasted so so good. Will absolutely be coming back for every single special occasion. Special shout out for the tater poutine. Perfect amount of cheese and potato for a rich flavour.

We had a great experience at STK Toronto. The restaurant is well-designed and has a very pleasant atmosphere. The steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides were excellent.

Our server, Kyla, was the highlight of the night. She was unbelievably attentive, helpful with the menu, and genuinely funny. Her exceptional service really made the evening. Highly recommend asking for her if you visit!

The sides honestly stole the show too. The mashed potatoes were smooth and buttery, the truffle fries were crispy with just the right amount of truffle flavor, and the mac and cheese was rich, creamy, and so comforting. Everything paired so well together.

Having dined at STK Toronto numerous times, I feel I can now offer a thorough review to help others decide if it’s the right fit for their occasion. Located in the heart of Yorkville it delivers a consistent fine dining experience.

Ambiance
Access is via stairs or an elevator up to the reservation desk. Weekend reservations are highly recommended as it gets bustling and they hold tables only for 15 minutes. The space is stylish and offers bar seating, couches, standard dining chairs and private areas for large groups or celebrations. The lively music usually adds to the vibe though on some evenings the music is too loud for as smooth conversation.
The menu does not change much with occasional limited-time features. Here’s my honest take dish-by-dish:

Appetizers:
1) Maple Bourbon Bacon: An absolute must-try. Sweet, smoky and perfectly crispy
2) Crispy Calamari: Crispy, not too oily and well prepared
3) Tuna Tartare: Fresh and flavorful, though the portion is on the smaller side
4) Burrata: Creamy and delicious
5) Classic Caesar: Good, but for the price, I expected a bit more wow factor else I would give it a miss

Mains:
1) Roasted Lamb Rack: A standout. Perfectly cooked and beautifully seasoned with rosemary jus
2) Shrimp Scampi & Maple Rubbed Salmon: Both are solid and flavorful choices
3) Mushroom & Truffle Tagliatelle: Rich sauce and satisfying for pasta lovers. Quantity is good too
4) Miso Glazed Chilean Sea Bass: Exceptionally tasty but like the tartare the portion felt light for mains
5) Roasted Chicken: Good option if you want to stick to chicken but for a fine dining splurge, I would recommend exploring more unique dishes you wouldn’t make at home

Sides:
1) Brussels Sprouts: Do not skip these. Perfectly charred and addictive
2) Creamed Spinach: Classic and could give it a try
3) Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes: Finely mashed, but at $21 you’re paying for the ambiance and nothing else

Service Level
Service in a fine dining is what truly elevates the experience and transforms a good meal into an excellent one. Based on my visits:
1) Steph Y: One of the best servers I have come across in any fine dining restaurants in GTA. She is warm, genuine and incredibly attentive. She offers good pairing suggestions and goes above and beyond to make celebrations special
2) Michael: Highly knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive. If you ask, he will explain how every dish is made
3) Steph (the second one): Provides swift and efficient service. She is attentive and offers some good wine paring options
4) Ryan: Asks the right questions for a smooth experience but will not go over and beyond to make it memorable experience

Manager Enrique is also notably present and engaging with guests which adds a nice touch.

Useful Notes:
Parking: No dedicated lot but there is Green P parking within 2 minutes short walk or you can park on the street, which is mostly occupied
Drawbacks: The menu does not change much, it does not have a patio option and the window views are not noteworthy

**Final Verdict:**
STK is a highly recommended spot for celebrations or for date nights where you want a vibrant atmosphere and with good ambience.

Tip: Their happy hour is a fantastic secret. Signature cocktails are half-price and sides are $6-$9. It is a great way to enjoy the fine-dining ambiance while being kinder to your wallet

Service wasn’t so good, but took a mandatory 18% tips for a group dinner. It’s fine to fake a fixed tip rate but not offering an equivalent service made this restaurant funny looking! Won go back! There’re so many great steak house in Toronto!

This spot seems a bit confused. Initial thoughts on arrival were that it felt like a lounge/nightclub more than a restaurant. The dining area was spacious with large tables with wrap around booth seating. Our waiter Michael was great! He was very helpful with my wine queries and checked in just the right amount.
The food: we went for steaks (as is tradition for us on birthdays) and I was surprised and disappointed that they cut the steaks before they get to the table. I’ve never had that done before and it was an issue especially for my cut. I don’t think the meat was rested properly before being sliced as I was brought a bloody plate. I asked for a bit more cook time hoping it would help but once you lose those juices that’s it. The sides were absolutely delicious though! The Brussels sprouts and potato gratin were incredible!
We even got a nice piece of cake for the occasion!
All said and done, we will not return. For a place named STK, there was very little respect for the meat

I loved the last experience on Nov 20th with my sisters and came back on Saturday Nov 29th to celebrate a best friend's birthday. It was her very first time and she was so impressed. Mission accomplished! Thank you STK Team again on a magical night of amazing drinks, food and ambiance. Our group of 5 rated the main server Stephanie Mae, executive chef Gian Carlo and the very attentive manager Enrique 5 stars. We believe their passion in delivering excellence in customer service is outstanding. Will be back!

What a find!
Gorgeous interior with a really cool vibe. Don’t let the ‘live DJ’ thing put you off, the music helped create the atmosphere but didn’t threaten to make our ears bleed.
Food was magnificent, we both had steak (why wouldn’t we?) cooked exactly how we asked for it to be and the sides were perfection (we shared two sides and there was more than plenty)
To top it all off our server, Stephanie, was an absolute joy who could not have looked after us any better, she’s a real asset to the restaurant.
Oh, I also had the best dirty martini I’ve ever tasted 🍸
