Morton's The Steakhouse
Enjoy "The Best Steak... Anywhere" at Morton's The Steakhouse, an upscale, fine dining destination offering prime-aged steaks, seafood, happy hour, cocktails, wine dinners, and more. Conveniently located at the Park Hyatt Hotel in the Yorkville area, Morton's is a go-to destination for celebrities,Torontonians, and those looking for a private space for their next event.
Old school steakhouse in its decor. (Which I personally love) Classic upscale steakhouse in service, food and atmosphere. Low lighting, attention to detail (they had a "Happy bday" card and other things arranged on table before we arrived). Attentive and excellent service. We got the seafood tower followed by ribeye and some sides to share. This was our 2nd bday visit, and it's a new tradition.
Best steak we’ve ever had. Cooked a perfection. Best service by James. How do you recommend get a reservation as gets busy later in the evening. Valet parking available some street parking or paid parking lot and lots across the street in Yorkville.
We had an exceptional experience at Morton’s The Steakhouse.
The wine selection was impressive and gave us lots of great options to choose from. The lobster bisque soup was decadent. The steaks were honestly better than we imagined. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, exactly what you hope for when you go somewhere known for steak.
We were seated upstairs in a private room, which created the perfect atmosphere for conversation and a relaxed evening. It felt elevated without being stuffy.
What really stood out was the service. Attentive, professional, and seamless from start to finish. The team made the whole night feel special.
If you’re looking for a high-end steakhouse experience in Toronto, this is absolutely worth it.
We had a really great experience at Morton’s The Steakhouse. My husband and I celebrated our Valentine’s date there. The service was excellent, the food was absolutely delicious, and the drinks were very tasty. The atmosphere was romantic, and we would love to come back again. Highly recommended!
Came here to celebrate my special girl’s birthday, and it was perfect. We ordered the tomahawk ribeye; cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. The sides of mushrooms and mashed potatoes paired so well with the steak. The service and atmosphere made the night feel extra special. Definitely a memorable dining experience, highly recommend for any celebration!
I had heard a lot about Morton’s before coming here. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The service was excellent and the servers were very attentive.
The food on the other hand was not up to the mark. I have had many steaks in my day and this was definitely one of the worst I’ve ever had. The dessert wasn’t much to write home about either. The wine was decent. The ambience in the upstairs area was also lacking.
Not really worth the price, in my opinion
An exceptional dining experience every visit. The steaks are flawlessly prepared, the service is attentive from valet to dessert, and the ambiance strikes the perfect balance of comfort and sophistication. Ryan McGarry, the General Manager does an outstanding job orchestrating it all, ensuring every guest enjoys a truly memorable meal.
I clearly explained I was waiting for my 16 year old nephew when I arrived. When he came in they said I wasn’t there yet. Luckily I saw him come in and then leave. First server was drowning in fragrance Foood was very indifferent. Steak was dry. Abd tasteless. . Waited a good 12 minutes to get the bill as I couldn’t get anyone’s attention.
Me and my girlfriend visited Morton’s for our anniversary and I should say what a classic this place is!
We were helped by Athena, who was amazing in walking us through the menu. They also put anniversary cards in our menus and served us complimentary chocolate lava cake at the end which was so nice and thoughtful. (And oh, the cake was so delicious. We were full but still finished the cake).
We ordered bone-in ribeye and French onion soup. The bone-in ribeye cooked medium would just fall off the bone . We got garlic butter on the side which was a nice touch and French onion soup was just so warm and fresh and tasty. Their in-house bread with the butter was also so freshly made and.
All around amazing night with thoughtful staff and delicious food!
I went here for a friends birthday and overall was a pleasant experience. I had the ribeye steak with lobster Mac & cheese and it was fairly good.
I would definitely choose a sauce next time to enhance the taste of the steak because the flavour was slightly underwhelming.
Mac & cheese was tasty but wish they added some more shrimp
Waiter was extremely nice and welcoming and the overall service was very good.
Definitely on the pricier side for what is given but somewhat expected for a spot downtown
We visited Morton’s Steakhouse in downtown Toronto as a family of four on Valentine’s night. The valet parking was convenient and reasonably priced (around $20–$25 plus tip), which made arriving stress-free.
Our server provided excellent customer service. He was friendly, attentive, and made an effort to connect with both us and our kids. His recommendations for the kids were thoughtful and appreciated.
Unfortunately, the experience at the entrance was not what we expected from an upscale restaurant. As we arrived, a verbal dispute broke out between a couple without a reservation and the hostess. A gentleman from the staff stepped in to assist, but the argument continued in front of other guests, including children. While it seemed the guests initiated the conflict, the situation could have been handled more professionally and discreetly.
We were seated upstairs, and I would not recommend that area. It felt quiet, isolated, and lacked the lively, upscale ambiance you’d expect at a place like Morton’s. If you’re planning to go, definitely ask to be seated on the first floor, the atmosphere there seemed much more enjoyable.
As for the food, it did not meet our expectations, especially for a high-end steakhouse on a special occasion. The steaks were underwhelming and lacked the flavor and tenderness we were hoping for. The salad was also disappointing, the lettuce was wilted and didn’t taste fresh. Even considering how busy Valentine’s night can be, that doesn’t justify the drop in food quality.
Overall, while we appreciated the great service from our waiter and the convenience of valet parking, the food, seating, and front-door incident left us with a less-than-satisfying experience. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend Morton’s based on our visit.
Almost everything is available without gluten. Impeccable service, food, and beverages in a friendly, superbly professional-without-being-stuffy, atmosphere.
We ordered too much! But no one was sad about it…
My scallops were glorious and piping hot, the paloma was puckeringly on point, salmon was so crisp and tender inside, heirloom carrots and broccolini were well-cooked and seasoned simply. Lastly, the proportions and caramelization of the creme brûlée were the best I’ve had in ages or maybe ever? We had a fantastic dinner and I’ll speak confidently for the other 7, because they expressed similar sentiments.
Almost forgot to snap the dessert- but oh well, it shows the depth!
Earlier this fall was our first time at Mortons. The food was incredible, unfortunately, our service experience was not this instance. To the restaurant's credit- once we shared this with them (after the fact) they were very generous in providing an opportunity to correct this experience, which was used and showed their 5 star worthiness later on.
Pro tip- order gift cards online at Costco ahead of time.
Salad portions are quite large (picture is a half portion).
Environment was quite loud and tables were very close together compared to my other steakhouse experiences.
Pretty standard for a Morton's experience. I sat at the bar and had drinks and dinner. Good food and pleasant somewhat inattentive service. The bartender was friendly enough but seemed over-stretched on this Sunday Night. I had the Chopped Salad to start...very good. This was followed by the Wagyu Filet...also very good. And the Asparagus...Excellent. I did not want bread but was never asked if I did.
Would I return? Yes
I can recommend Morton's Toronto for a very good steak dinner.
