Zeal Burgers
We’re not trying to reinvent the burger-but perfect it!
The best burger I've had here in Toronto. To be honest, I like to train and the few times I like to go to eat at a restaurant I almost always choose Zeal Burgues, their burger is a difficult temptation not to try. The service is excellent, the presentation has been improved, but honestly I prefer the classic and the milkshakes are not bad at all, definitely one of the best flavors in Toronto.
Zeal Burger is hands down one of the best places for a delicious burger and crispy sides! The food was hot, fresh, and full of flavor. A special shoutout to Ishower and Nat for their outstanding service – they truly go above and beyond to make every visit enjoyable. Definitely my go-to spot for a satisfying meal!
Zeal Burgers never disappoints! The burgers are absolutely massive, juicy, and packed with flavor. What really takes them to the next level is their signature Z Sauce—rich, tangy, and downright addictive. Every bite is a perfect balance of freshness and taste. On top of that, the staff are super friendly and provide excellent service, making the whole experience even better. If you want a burger that’s big, tasty, and unforgettable, Zeal Burgers is the place to go! 🍔🔥
All the way out in Weston, this was a good find. Great, friendly, and helpful service, we got the double Z Burger and the Greek Fries (spicy).
Nice and hot, really tasty meat, and fun toppings. This was an excellent burger.
The Greek fries were nice and fresh, kind of spicy, and surprisingly saucy.
Awesome burger that was tasty and so flavourful. I had it with cheddar and onions and it was delicious. I got it with fries, which were solid. The ketchup packs they gave me were a little sticky though. It was a nice touch to be given vinegar too which I hadn’t had for a while. Next time I’d like to try the rings or poutine. I’m looking forward to eating in as they are still closed off because of COVID. Friendly staff too!
We frequent this restaurant often and have been going since it opened. The staff is great; the burgers are exceptional. There is a range of delicious choices (of burgers) and fries (the Greek fries are delicious). It's a small sit-down family / community style restaurant without any pretenses. Just delicious burgers.
Without a doubt Zeal is the best burger place in the GTA. I have been to many, some have rocked my socks off but none as totally as this place. If you love a good burger, understand what a smash patty is then you really have to come here and try a double with cheese and bacon. I had the Mushroom Melt here tonight and my only wish is that I had made it a double. The patty was that good. They take a ball of freshly ground AAA beef, put it on the grill, salt and pepper it and smash it flat with a spatula. Then they let it sit on the hot grill until the bottom is as close to burnt as you would like it, like just before it goes bitter but with a whole lot of crunch. Then they do the same to the flip side. So then, why the four stars? Their fries. We ordered the poutine. Most places get their poutine wrong in two places, using the wrong cheese (ie, not using curds) or having the gravy not be thick enough (Costco) or just not plain hot enough to melt the curds. The fries in the poutine were bitter. They had over cooked them to the point of being inedible. The gravy and the curds made up for that a little but I still ended up throwing half the order away. Just to test my theory I ordered up a small order of fries and sure enough, they were bitter too. When I talked to the cook he told me that they blanche the raw fries for 7 minutes. My guess is that there is still a lot of water in them when they go into the oil first. For the record, potatoes need to be fresh cut into fries and then soaked in water to remove the starch. THEN, they need to be THOROUGHLY dried. Then they go into a 325 degree oil for 5 - 7 minutes. After that they can be stored at room temp or in a fridge for longer periods. When they have had time to rest they go into a 375 degree oil for 2 - 3 minutes until golden brown, not dark brown. This makes the best fries I have ever had and should Zeal start to improve their fries they would get that fifth star from me. When fries are done like this they are like crack, they just disappear as fast as I can make them. If you find yourself in this area be sure to drop in for a burger though. The next time I go there I am going to get them to recreate a Wendy's Triple, the way they used to be, not the crap that Wendy's sells today, but I digress. Zeal is a burger joint and they excel at that.
