One of the best steakhouse experiences in Toronto. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels elegant yet welcoming. The service is truly top-tier and very attentive without being overwhelming.

The steaks are absolutely outstanding. You can really taste the quality of the dry-aged beef and the perfect cooking technique. Every bite was rich, juicy, and full of flavor. If you love premium steak, this place is a must-visit.

The wine selection is also impressive, with many great options that pair perfectly with the food. The tableside Caesar salad and the fresh popovers at the beginning were a great touch that made the experience even more special.

Overall, an exceptional fine-dining steakhouse in Toronto. Perfect for special occasions or for anyone who truly appreciates high-quality meat and professional hospitality. Highly recommended.

The steak are great! Highly recommend the waygu, the oil and fat is perfect balance. The ribeye is also peak. In comparison, the striploin is a little bit less good. The duck fat fries is okay ~~ prefer to order sth lighter for side or appetiser as the steak also heavy. As a Michelin restaurant , the service wasn’t the greatest. My server always don know where she is. Those staffs feel like they are in a rush keep asking us can we clean things. What’s good about the service is the coat check. And I do appreciate they said happy birthday to me:) the environment is nice, classic, comfy. I still hope to hv a little bit more space between table and table. Overall, still recommend to come for the pro steak tasting.

The best part of the meal was the bread served before the main course. It had a crispy crust and was warm and soft inside. However, there was a pudding-like layer at the bottom, probably because the dough didn't rise properly. It would have been even better with black truffle butter for added flavour. Anyway, I still ordered another one before the main course. The second one was perfect.

And then, I would recommend the aged American steak had a pretty dense appearance, with a deep mahogany-brown crust on the outside and a red centre from edge to edge inside. Still, it was just a little off, with a hint of bitterness on the outside. The overall texture was chewy, but the medium-rare doneness was just alright. The American beef flavour wasn't overly rich, but it was still tasty overall.

The beef tartare was a good-sized portion. The meat pieces were relatively large, and you could tell they were fresh. However, the seasoning was somewhat light, highlighting the quality of the beef.

Wagyu Fried Rice was a disappointment. It was neither dry nor fragrant. It didn't taste as good as Black+Blue’s. But my boyfriend said that when he came here two months ago, it was delicious. Maybe it was just today.

The restaurant's interior is old-fashioned and not particularly fancy. The service is inconsistent and hard to judge. They do offer basic friendly service and coat check. However, the waiter serving our table was just okay. When it was time to pay, we noticed the bill listed 'Ontario steak,' but we had ordered the American one. He didn't mention the mistake earlier. It was only when we were checking out that he kept insisting it was just a billing error, and the steak we had was indeed American, with the same price. Since it was our date night, we decided not to make a fuss.

Later, my boyfriend remembered that the server had mentioned 'Ontario steak' before serving. Honestly, it doesn't matter much which country's steak we had - we just wanted a normal dinner. Still, it was disappointing that such a well-known, longstanding restaurant made such a mistake.

Jacob & Co Steakhouse – One of the Best Meals We’ve Ever Had

My parents and I went to Jacob & Co Steakhouse last night and we were honestly blown away. We all agreed it was one of our top favorite meals we’ve ever had.

To start, we had the ceviche and the carpaccio. The ceviche was incredibly unique — it included oranges, which we had never seen before, and it added such a fresh and delicious flavor profile. The carpaccio was buttery, delicate, and practically melted in your mouth.

For mains, we shared the rack of lamb and the 25-day dry-aged ribeye. Both were exceptional. The meats were unbelievably tender and full of flavor, and we loved that they were served with chimichurri, ponzu, and black salt on the side so you could customize each bite.

Yes — the meal was definitely on the pricey side, but the quality of the food and the level of service made it completely worth it for a special night out if you’re willing to splurge a little.

Our server, Derek, was fantastic. He recommended several menu items and took the time to explain everything in detail, including flavor profiles, which really elevated the experience. He was personable, friendly, and had us laughing throughout the night. He also worked alongside the bartender at the piano bar — “Big Country,” as we called him — who was equally warm and welcoming. Sitting at the piano bar honestly felt like an even better experience than a traditional table.

Highly, highly recommend Jacob & Co. We’ll definitely be back.

Jacob & Co Steakhouse Toronto delivers the kind of polished, high-end steakhouse experience that truly feels worthy of a special night out. From the moment you arrive, the space strikes that perfect balance of grand and energetic while still feeling refined, and the service immediately sets the tone. Every member of staff was warm, attentive, and highly professional, creating an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and genuinely welcoming rather than overly formal.

The meal itself was excellent from start to finish. The tuna tartare was a standout opener, it is exceptionally fresh, beautifully seasoned, and plated with real precision. The mashed potatoes deserve special mention as well: incredibly smooth, rich without being heavy, and exactly the kind of indulgent steakhouse side you hope for. The steak program is clearly the centerpiece here, with an impressive selection of high-quality cuts cooked perfectly to temperature, each with a deep, well-developed crust and outstanding flavour.

Dessert was just as memorable and provided a fantastic close to the evening, thoughtfully executed and properly celebratory rather than an afterthought. What ultimately elevates Jacob & Co is the consistency of the entire experience; the pacing, the hospitality, the confidence of the kitchen, and the sense that every detail is intentionally curated for a true luxury dining night.

If you’re looking for one of Toronto’s definitive upscale steakhouse experiences for a celebration, client dinner, or simply an exceptional evening out, Jacob & Co absolutely belongs at the top of the list. A genuine five-star experience and somewhere I will return to without hesitation.

Overpriced, overhyped – save your money.

If you haven’t been to a proper steakhouse outside of Toronto, Jacob’s might seem impressive. If you have, this place will not.

My girlfriend and I went for my birthday dinner at 8:30 pm. Everything started off fine. We ordered the Iberico jamon, beef tartare, and the Caesar salad made at the table (which, by the way, is an extra $10 just for the “tableside” show – $34 vs $24 if it’s made in the kitchen).
• The jamon was dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a while.
• The beef tartare was actually great, no complaints there.
• The Caesar was terrible – aggressively bitter from way too much lemon.

For the main, we ordered a 28 oz, 90-day aged bone-in ribeye with bone marrow. The bone marrow is an absolute avoid: you get almost no marrow and a pile of pointless salad on top to fill the plate.

The steak itself came out rare when we clearly ordered medium rare. It also looked like it had not been tempered properly before cooking – the colour and texture looked almost like sashimi tuna. For a $300 steak, that is unacceptable.

When I flagged it, instead of just owning the mistake, they tried to educate me on the type of meat, told me they do not use temp checkers, and asked if I wanted it “reheated” or “heated up.” Why on earth would I want a reheated $300 steak? I said absolutely not, I wanted it done properly from scratch.

They took the steak away and we then waited about 40 minutes for a new one. In that time, everything else on the table went cold. By the time the replacement steak arrived, it was 11 pm. We had arrived at 8:30. Birthday dinner completely dragged out and ruined.

The overall attitude from the team made it worse. The staff felt under-educated, condescending, and frankly demeaning in how they handled everything, especially the manager (evening of the 6th December). For the prices they are charging, the combination of inconsistent food and that kind of attitude is laughable.

You might be a big fish in Toronto, but globally you are tiny. I have eaten at some of the best restaurants around the world, and for what Jacob’s charges, this was one of the worst experiences – the quality and service do not match the bill.

Only positive note: JM Michael – thank you for your service. You were the bright spot of the evening. You deserve better.

Total bill was $600+ no compensation no items strikes off for a terrible night.

Avoid it.

I very rarely write negative reviews, but given the price point, I hope this will serve as a warning for future diners to take their money elsewhere.

My husband and I tried Jacob & Co for the first time last night and the nicest thing I can say about the meal was that it was completely unremarkable. At $500+ for 2 people, one would expect a great meal. The steaks were bland and gray colored. It was so disappointing, I didn’t finish my tenderloin. The sides were so basic, bland and did not taste fresh at all. We left almost every side on the table and declined to dessert. I cannot believe this is considered a high end steakhouse.

Diner, beware. Go any where else but here. Needless to say, that was an expensive lesson learned. We will not be back.

Wonderful meal with excellent service from Vanya. We got the 18oz dry aged striploin (45 days). Chef says he was pleased it was ordered as blue or rare. They are known for their dry aging process. Also tried the California striploin which is just a smaller sized cut of the striploin also dry aged 25 days. For sides the bone marrow was delicious texture. Needed some seasoning but the parsley and pickled onions were tasty garnishes. The bread tasted like Yorkshire puddings and the butter with roasted garlic was tasty. We also had the scallops which were on the small size and whilst tasty wasn’t anything special. The wagyu fried rice was good and the potato purée was really delicious. We also ordered the table side Caesar salad which was an entertaining experience. They had different sauces to go with the steaks and also pastries to go at the end. If we were to come back again we would definitely share the steak which is what we saw other customers doing. Their steak is definitely worth a try - just have to be prepared for an expensive meal but great experience! We were absolutely stuffed and had to doggy bag left overs. You’ll want to enjoy every mouthful for the price.

It’s a beautiful restaurant, great atmosphere and even greater service!! The food is way overpriced for the quality. Ordered the $140 ribeye and the steak was cold as ice without much flavor but looked great. The potato and mushroom sides were good but the fried rice was just ok.The Cesar salad that is made at your table has a nice presentation and it’s cool to watch them make but it’s mediocre when it comes to taste. You would expect more from a $34 salad!!! The best part of the meal were the deserts which I highly recommend!!

We came here for a birthday celebration, but it was unusual that the server never asked about the occasion when we arrived. There are three people in my party, and the server kept telling us to order more food because it wouldn’t be enough. We ended up ordering two appetizers, two side dishes, one order of lamb, and 30 ounces of bone-in ribeye. The server then said it should be enough, but we had a lot of leftovers.

We asked if there was any dessert option for a birthday celebration, and the server gave us the desserts menu. They said we could order one and they would put a happy birthday on it. We ordered a chocolate cake, and it was still on the bill when we paid. We don’t mind paying for the cake, but we paid $600 for three people, even The Keg would take that cake off the bill. And the steak was very average. Very bad experience here. Not recommended.

Went for business lunch for the first time. We both ordered from the fixed price lunch menu which was reasonably priced. We both chose the Caesar salad as an appetizer. It was a great choice and was fresh crisp and tasty.
The main course choices were chicken fish or beef. The waiter described the beef as coming from a named farm in Kansas. I choose not to buy US beef as a matter of principle in the supermarket and restaurants are no different. I am sure there are equally good Canadian beef suppliers
I ordered chicken which was good and my colleague ordered fish. Both were good. The snow pea greens served as a side tasted and looked like spinach. Service was good and appropriate. I won’t be back until they have Canadian beef on the menu.

Amazing staff and amazing food! We went there for dinner and the service was one of the best we have ever gotten! The steaks and sides were also wonderful. Special shoutout to Romain for explaining the menu to us and quietly checking in on us throughout the evening.

The ambience is great. There was live piano as we dined.

The entire staff was lovely and contributed to an amazing evening.

I dined here for my birthday and was extremely pleased with both the food and the service. The restaurant is beautiful, pristine, and welcoming. My server was attentive, and the rest of the staff were just as thoughtful — from checking in on my meal to promptly clearing my table, they made me feel special and I recived multiple birthday wishes throughout the night.

To celebrate, I ordered the famous Caesar salad, an 18oz aged bone-in striploin, a 4oz wagyu, potato purée, a glass each of Flat Rock and Wild Rock wine, and the monkey bread dessert to finish off a very filling meal. My goal was to stick to primarily Canadian produce, which the 18oz steak and the wines proudly represented. I requested for my dishes to be staggered so I could enjoy each one at its best pace.

The experience began with complimentary herb butter, with a warm popover that paired perfectly with the butter. The caesar salad was fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. Both steaks were cooked to perfection, and the potato purée was smooth, and delicious.

To end the evening, I chose the monkey bread — served warm with a cream cheese dip — which is a must-try if you’re a fan of Cinnabons. As a final thoughtful touch, when I was ready to settle my bill, my server brought me a signed card by the Jacob's culinary team and I was provided with a house-made chocolate muffin to enjoy the next morning.

From the food to the hospitality, every detail exceeded my expectations. I left completely satisfied and grateful for such a memorable birthday dinner.
Will love to be back again soon. Thank you Jacobs & Co Steakhouse.

Went to celebrate my son’s birthday. First time at the new location. I was the last one to arrive only to find the others seated in the what appeared to be the overflow, in the back of the restaurant, completed separated from the dining room. Very disappointed as there were empty table in the main dining room but did not want to make a fuss because we were there to celebrate. Drinks were ok but steak was dry. Will not be returning as there are many other great steakhouses in Toronto that get it right.

The overall experience was nice.

This new location is beautifully put together and has a great atmosphere. Cozy and carpeted with lots of wood accents making it feel warm and welcoming. 5/5

We ordered steaks for lunch and had a somewhat acceptable experience. The steaks were good but for the price I was expecting them to be very tender and juicy. We asked for medium rare and they came closer to medium well and rare. A bit tough for a rib eye but the flavor was great. Food was 4/5.

The service was exceptional. Friendly staff and informative on the menu and gives nice little details on the dry aged specialties keeps things interesting. Marvin serving us made the experience memorable with his great service and friendly chats! Thank you Marvin! 5/5! 👍

Fantastic steakhouse in every manner! One of the BEST in Toronto bar none. Food, service & ambience were all outstanding. Very professional & highest quality standards. Wife/I celebrated her birthday lunch recently at Jacobs

Our server Madison was very informative, personable & polite. Service was excellent! The Host team were also very welcoming & engaging. The food was divine. I had the Ross Ross Chicken & my wife had the steak. Both were cooked to perfection.

Very impressed with Jacobs.
Would highly recommend visit !
You will not be disappointed in the least 💯
