Cafe Landwer
Perfect location to have dinner pre-Luminato show at Meridian Arts Centre. Sat on patio to people watch as surprising number of people on Yonge St. Wide sidewalks albeit watch your step with uneven concrete (little girl fell & sawmkthers trip!). Additionally e-bike food couriers use the sidewalk! Plus vanity cars & motorcycles are loud! Yonge is a 6 lane highway here. But back to cafe!! Nice staff. Ordered Chixken Fatush Salad. Did not see nor taste mint, croutons were chewy, & chicken breast very small.
Staff did not check in to see if “everything was okay”. A
Glass of Prosecco (sweeter than I like but $7 for 6oz good deal!) and bubbles are happy. Had an excellent affogato ☕️ 🍨 for dessert. Total bill (with tip) $48. And ‘music’ was that tech beat but given the traffic it didn’t matter.
This café has been one of our favorite choices for a long time, and we always enjoy our visits. Today, our server Hasti made the experience even better. She was very patient, friendly, and attentive throughout our visit. Her warm attitude made our time there even more enjoyable. Thank you, Hasti, for your excellent service. We look forward to coming back again!

Went for brunch, we ordered the Croissant Benedict which was sooo delicious and the Protein packed omelette with the challah bun which my bf loved as well! The Halva iced latte was also unique and pretty good, but couldn’t really taste the coffee that much. We sat outside because inside was all reserved, so next time will try to sit in
Tried their brunch recently and it honestly hit the sweet spot. The food was genuinely good, with solid quality you can taste in every bite. Prices felt fair—not a steal, not overpriced—just right for what you get. The café itself has a simple, no-frills vibe, nothing fancy but comfortable enough to sit back and enjoy your meal. Overall, a well-balanced experience that delivers where it matters. Definitely worth checking out.

We had a wonderful breakfast at this restaurant today.
A special thank you to Dilara for the warm and attentive service — she truly made our morning even more enjoyable.
We were looking for something different, not just a typical standard Canadian breakfast, and this place absolutely met all our expectations. The shakshuka was incredible — we ordered two different kinds, and both were amazing. We also had the salmon eggs Benedict, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared.
I tried to take more photos, but honestly, we ate everything too fast because it was just that delicious.
Overall, a fantastic experience. Highly recommended!

Had an amazing experience! The Schnitzel Parmesan was absolutely delicious and is now my new favorite. Special mention to Elina, she was incredibly sweet, calm, and served us with the warmest smile. The plate were so pretty, I’m honestly obsessed! The complimentary dessert was the cherry on top. Loved it! ✨

Food
I ordered Landwer’s Shakshuka, which came in a generous portion and was very filling without feeling heavy. The flavors leaned on the mild side, making it an easy and comforting dish rather than a bold or spicy one. The tomato base was clean and straightforward but lacked a bit of depth, especially if you are expecting something more robust or punchy. There were options to choose different types of bread, and I went with the pita. The pita was easily the highlight of the dish for me, warm, soft, and perfect for scooping up the sauce. I also tried their famous iced tea, which followed the same theme of subtlety. It was refreshing, lightly sweetened, and not overpowering, making it a good pairing with the meal.
Service
The service was excellent. The staff were friendly, efficient, and professional throughout the visit. I had a reservation, which they honored without any issue, and my table was ready when I arrived. Everything felt well organized and smooth.
Ambiance
The restaurant had a lively and energetic atmosphere, with a steady buzz from the crowd. There was plenty of seating, though tables were set fairly close together, which is expected in a busy spot. The décor was clean and modern while still managing to feel warm and inviting, creating a cozy environment despite how busy it was.

We went and had our Brunch eat out on a Sunday Morning. It was our first time visiting the place, and what can i say the environment as we walked in up until we were seated was an amazing experience. Very clean, neat and fancy with classic interior giving a very vintage vibe which i LOVED. Speaking of FOOD well the pictures pretty much speak for themselves we took recommendations from our very nice, kind and friendly server Victoria 😬 She really knew her menu and was attentive to details which i appreciated very much. She even gave us a complimentary Nutella filled dessert at the end, saying cause we were so sweet to her 🥹I really like to spread positivity around every where i go, and didn’t expect anything back but nevertheless she went above and beyond with her services. As a server myself, i give my Kudos to our server Victoria ✌️ and i will MOST DEFINITELY be coming back for sure 😊 I truly 💯recommend the place! 🤗
A Vibrant & Delicious Brunch Destination!
Cafe Landwer in North York is every bit as popular as they say—and for good reason! This lively spot is a go-to for a fantastic brunch, and their famous schnitzel definitely lives up to the hype.
We tried a mix of dishes and everything was a hit. The Pesto Chicken Pappardelle was fresh and herby, while the Truffle Mushroom and Cream Pappardelle was rich, earthy, and utterly comforting. Our friends loved The Burger and the Angel Hair Rose—each plate was flavorful and beautifully prepared.
Be prepared for a crowd! This place draws people in, so arriving early is key if you want to avoid a wait. The atmosphere is energetic, the service is friendly, and the food consistently delivers.
Whether you're here for brunch, lunch, or that legendary schnitzel, Cafe Landwer is a sure bet. Can’t wait to come back and try more!
