Giulietta
Sleek trattoria serving wood-fired pizza, house-made pasta & veg- & seafood-forward sharing plates.
Beautiful quaint restaurant ! The food was attic with a twist , absolutely delicious, and we had top Notch service. Homemade Limencello is a must try!
The hazelnut gelato was outstanding for dessert and handmade.
We had the Burrata , Insulata Contadina, Cacio de Pepe, and the Giulietta Pizza as well.
We will be back.
Went here to celebrate my birthday and Giulietta was a pleasant experience and served amazing food.
Had a surprisingly very nice experience sitting at the counter. We originally wanted to sit in standard seating but booked counter because that was all that was available, but ended up being a great choice. Food was amazing, we got the grilled octopus, ravioli, and cacio e pep. To top it off we got to see the amazing chefs cook and plate all the dishes.
Service was excellent, we felt very well taken care of and welcomed. Definitely looking forward to coming back and trying their other dishes.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Toronto. The atmosphere is stylish but still warm and welcoming. The pasta was outstanding – perfectly cooked with authentic Italian flavors. The ingredients tasted very fresh and the presentation was beautiful.
The service was also excellent; the staff were professional, friendly, and very attentive. The wine selection was great and paired perfectly with the food.
Overall an amazing dining experience. If you love real Italian cuisine, Giulietta is definitely a must-visit in Toronto.
Beef tartare melts in your mouth. It is prepared in a way that is easy to pick up and eat and the truffle flavour is wonderful.
Hokkaido scallop crudo is a fresh dish with fresh ingredients but flavour was lacking comparatively.
La Valentia - Neapolitan crust is excellent and chewy. The sausage packs a punch in terms of heat and salt. It goes well is the tomato sauce and roasted garlic.
Seafood pasta is cooked to al dente. It’s light and full seafood and juicy tomatoes.
Romanesco cauliflower is so unique; it’s green and chopped into tiny florets and roasted with crunchy almond pieces which makes it delightful.
Torta della nonna is like a light butter tart except with honey, pine nuts, and mascarpone cream. I highly recommend it. Tiramisu was nice (and big) but it was no contest against the torta della nonna.
We celebrated my wife’s birthday at Giulietta and had an amazing night. The space is cozy but lively, the service was excellent, and everyone was friendly. We reserved bar seats since no tables were available and ended up loving it. Watching the cocktails being made really added to the atmosphere. We ordered the beef tartare, fried olive and sausage ascolana, roasted squash with brown butter and sage, and of course the cacio e pepe. We also added the pan roasted pork chop, which was honestly one of the best things we’ve ever eaten. The photos don’t do this place justice. Everything was delicious and completely worth the hype. This is easily our new favourite Italian spot in the city. Thanks to the team at Giulietta for a wonderful night.
I have been dining here since they opened back in 2018. Consistently one of the best restaurants in the city. They always seem to just get better and better. Amazing staff, they truly make you feel like home. We love sitting at the chef’s bar. Giulietta is our family favourite!
First time dining at Giulietta and it was a wonderful experience.
Polite and friendly staff. The attention to detail and intentional decisions made really elevated the dining experience.
We ordered the burrata, calamari fritti, agnolotti, and l’amentea pizza. All dishes were lovely and I would order them all again. The burrata and grapes were a lovey delicious pairing. The calamari was done perfectly and the aioli was absolutely delicious. The agnolotti was a delightful surprise, both interesting and tasty. The pizza was great!
I sat at the chef’s bar and was completely blown away. Watching the team work in such a small open kitchen was like witnessing magic — calm, focused, and effortlessly in sync. It gave me a whole new appreciation for the craft behind each dish.
The food? Outstanding. Every plate was beautifully balanced, full of flavour, and felt thoughtful without being overworked. It’s Italian with soul and precision.
While Osteria Giulia is more fine dining, Giulietta feels warmer, more intimate, and just as impressive — if not more so. If you can, book the chef’s bar. It’s an experience on its own.
Highly recommend!
Great meal, great presentation, but high expectations left me expecting more.
The salads are stellar, radicchio being my personal favourite. Pastas were solid, great sauce but somewhat on the sweeter side. Cacio e pepe stood out for its simplicity and sharp flavour.
Service was kind, but could be more prompt and diligent for a Michelin guide; often had to wait for service and dishes were laid down hastily in that the “tower” would often topple over. But minor for an overall great experience.
a bit disappointing for Michelin 1 star. crowded seating and not to its value. we sat at the bar maybe the reasons of lack of attention of the server or bartender. the bar did recommend cocktail of day other than that no further interaction. starters are below par: the octopus is over cooked and no surprise at all with its herbal dressing, the shrimp is tasteless the dressing is too sweet that overwhelms the whole dish, normal one is the carpaccio good quality of beef itself, the mains are creamy home made pasta and margarita pizza. pasta is impressive if it’s al donte and thin touches of the cheese sauce, perfectly done , the pizza dough is super super light but the bottom was not toasty or crispy enough. well balance on sauce and cheese portion. the nut tart dessert is a better conclusion for the night. in general not savory and the appetizer needs to be improved.
overpriced - i know although it’s a 1 star .
The restaurant is located in Little Italy, and despite appearing small from the outside, it is incredibly deep and spacious.
I got the counter seat so I could see all the cooking in action as I ate. As many restaurants do not have this option, I wanted to choose it for the full experience at Giulietta.
I’m glad I went here; this restaurant lives up to its reputation.
I want to go back to this restaurant to try some of their other pasta dishes!
We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Giulietta and it was an unforgettable experience. It started with complimentary champagne for our celebration which was a warm, thoughtful touch. The food was outstanding from start to finish, but the agnolotti de mais completely blew me away. It’s easily one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. We ended the night with an espresso martini that was also among the best I’ve tasted.
Sitting at the chef’s counter made the evening even more special. As two foodies, watching the dishes come together right in front of us was such a treat. The chefs were kind, welcoming, and took the time to chat with us, answer a few questions, and wish well on our anniversary.
Everything about the night felt thoughtful and memorable. We can’t wait to come back.
You ever have those moments feeling like “what’s the point?”
Fortunately for me, I live in the same timeline as Giulietta and lucky to have experienced their food, atmosphere, and service.
I had the Polpo e Fagioli, with the salsa verde was chef kiss. A must try.
The Gnocchi di Polenta was impeccable. The first bite felt like the sauces were massaging the gnocchi. The texture and burst of flavour just makes sense.
La Campagnola, try it, trust me.
And do not miss out on the Torta della Nonna and Gelato. The consistency of the gelato is unreal with a very humbling taste. The texture and taste of the Torta della Nonna was perfectly balanced, a very homey feel.
Overall, it was an experience I’m glad I never missed out on. Thank you to the team, especially chef Czar. Treated us with genuine care and respect. Their passion and love for Italian cuisine is transferrable to the food they serve. Dining there felt like I was part of an immersive performance displaying excellence, quality and pride.
From the moment I stepped in until I walked out, this restaurant exceeded every expectation. My first visit left such a strong impression—flavorful dishes, attentive service, and beautiful interior design—that I returned with a friend to share the experience.
Although we arrived slightly before opening, we were warmly greeted by the staff with genuine smiles and promptly guided to our table. Throughout the meal, the server consistently checked in to ensure everything was to our satisfaction, replacing utensils with each course and keeping the table tidy, which created a clean and pleasant dining atmosphere.
What stood out just as much as the service was the Korean chef’s thoughtful approach. He took the time to understand our preferences and offered personalized menu recommendations that turned out to be absolutely perfect. He communicated fluently in both Korean and English and returned several times during the meal to explain each dish in detail. Despite being busy, he remained attentive and professional until we left.
A head chef also kindly recommended us a seasonal gelato, which turned out to be one of the most satisfying desserts I've had at Giulietta. I highly recommend other guests try it as the perfect finale to their meal—you won't regret it.
Overall, the team’s energy, coordination in the kitchen, and genuine care in communicating with guests all contributed to a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Every dish showcased a perfect balance of ingredients, thoughtfully seasoned sauces, and beautifully crafted plating—it was a thoroughly satisfying dining experience.
With perfectly balanced dishes and a warm farewell at the end, this restaurant naturally makes you want to come back—and it's now my top recommendation to friends and family.
We were able to get reservations and were so glad we did. The food was amazing and we would love to return the next time were in Toronto.
The service was top notch and the food was incredible. We had the fried artichoke to start and it was really good!
