Brodflour is located at 8 Pardee Ave in Toronto , ON and serves great food and drinks in Toronto
brodflour was founded in 2017 with one simple goal: to give people the license to enjoy bread again. Good, fresh bread doesn’t exist without good, fresh flour. So, to achieve our goal, we’ve changed the way flour is harvested, milled, and baked. At brodflour, we work with the grain, rather than against it. We place fresh at the centre of everything we do, making sure each of our products is alive and packed with nutrients—from the farm, to the mill, to your mouth.
We finally made it to Brodflour after seeing them on YouTube, and it lived up to the hype! Arriving right at opening on the weekend was a smart move—we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere before it got so busy.
The Smoked Salmon Sandwich was incredibly fresh, and the Lemon Poppy Seed Knot had a delightful, refreshing citrus kick. I also tried The Swiss, which was decadent with its rich custard and chocolate chips—a must for pain au chocolat fans!
Beyond the bread, the latte was exceptionally smooth and beautifully made. The industrial-chic vibe of the bakery makes it such a cozy place to start the day. I’m already looking forward to my next visit to try more of their freshly milled goodness!
This bakery deserves all the hype it gets and more! So cute inside, the workers were very kind and helpful. We ordered the famous pain suisse with vanilla and chocolate filling 🤤 which was absolutely divine, it tasted like a Montreal croissant - buttery yet light, and we also got the famous cardamom knot. The knot was so soft and delicious, it has a unique flavour profile incorporating both spice (the cardamom) and sweetness from the sugar on top, I really loved this one as well. If you do not like sweet pastries the cardamom knot is the pastry for you! All in all this place has potentially the best croissants in all of Toronto and some other delectable pastries which we will be back for ASAP!!
I was thrilled with my first visit to this unique bakery that mills their own flour on location! I was eager to taste their sourdough bread from fresh milled flour. I ordered a Classic Hearth and Classic Pan Loaf and they were so hearty and delicious. I got the pre-sliced loaves which were still warm!
I instantly loved the colour and textures of the sourdough bread. I had a slice of each with a slab of French grass-fed butter so I could enjoy the rich taste of the bread. Toasting the slices also brought out the flavours. And it is so delicious for my avocado & fried pastured egg toast!
I am equally excited about the health benefits of their freshly milled flour. The nutritional benefits of this non-commercial flour is how I found Brodflour Bakery and why I made a special 2 hour trip there.
The research I’ve found on “real flour” is truly inspiring especially knowing this is how our ancestors ate bread before flour was commercialized and removed essential vitamins and minerals to make it more shelf stable.
Brodflour freshly mills their flour in a handmade granite stone mill so it retains natural nutrients and oils of the Bran, Germ and Endosperm of the whole wheat berry. These three elements are rich in fibre, healthy fats, vitamins B and E, minerals like iron, zinc, magnesium and antioxidants and enzymes, folate, complex carbs and protein.
I’d like to think freshly milled flour is a Superfood! Based on my research it provides 30 to 40 of 44 essential nutrients and 3 to 5 times more nutrient dense than commercial flour. Plus it’s definitely more delicious!
Can you tell nutritious bread is a passion for me?!! 😆❤️
The staff at Brodflour were very friendly when I arrived at 9:30am on a chilly weekday. The line up was short but quickly grew after I got my bread. I loved the warm vibe of the bakery and look forward to trying their many sweet and savoury baked goods next time! Highly recommend this bakery!!!

Great quality pastry & tremendous variety, good bread. Crowded on the weekends so plan accordingly. Decent coffee. Almond croissants are too good & are available only on weekends. Pain Suisse is great as well. Limited space, no proper dining space available so gets a bit tricky during winter.

The vives of this place is amazing! You can smell freshly baked goods the moment you step in. It is pure heaven for people who love baked goods. I ordered the pain suisse and latte. The pain suisse is one the tastiest things I put in my mouth. The coffee is rich and delicious. 💯

High quality food and beverages for a shockingly reasonable price. I’ve tried many of their pastries such as the butter croissant, chocolate croissant, chocolate babka, cardamom knot, cookie, brownie, ham & cheese croissant, focaccia. Across the board, they are all very good. Their bread is also amazing and has a unique taste because they mill their own flour.
Their standout items in my opinion are the rotating seasonal danishes (not pictured). Note the danishes are only available on weekends! However, be prepared to wait in line. The service is friendly and quick though.

Came in to try the breakfast sandwich, the Brod latte, and their special pastry. The Brod latte was interesting, I’ve never had something quite like it before. It was good to try, but it didn’t wow me enough to order again. That said, I can see how it could really hit the spot for someone else with different tastes.
Unfortunately, they were out of arugula, so I couldn’t experience the breakfast sandwich as it’s meant to be served. I had already paid before they mentioned this, which put me in a bit of an awkward spot. Even so, the sandwich was still really good, and the pastry was a nice touch.
Overall, I’d say the food was solid. And honestly, when it comes to a great breakfast sandwich, the “special sauce” is always starting with amazing bread, which they definitely know how to do. I’d definitely come back again!
food is 5 star, coffee on the other hand is not, it did not taste good. In regards on food: we ordered a breakfast sandwich with extra bacon (+0.50) and it was super good, simple but tasty, it comes in a english muffin that was very soft, also a smoked turkey sandwich, this was the best of all, really nice, bread was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, also ordered a bird hearth bread (sliced) to take home, liked it.
When it comes to sweets we tried brownie and salted chocolate chip cookie, for me it a must try, chewy and not over sweet, the right amount of sweet and salt! I would go back but for the food only!
You know when you look up a place online and wonder if the food is actually as good as it looks? Well, in this case, the food is EVEN BETTER! I don’t know how that’s possible, as I’m not a baker myself, and fail to understand the magic of, and the science behind, baking.
Brodflour might have THE BEST croissant in Toronto, and the focaccia slice (we tried the cheesy one) is next level! We’ve been here twice, and we will definitely be back!!!
Also really enjoyed going on a Saturday when the outdoor Farmer’s Market kiosk is next door. Felt like I could balance out my pastries with some high quality fruits and veggies.
Honestly it was good but nothing so mind-blowing. Not sure if there is something special that I should try, but this time I had an olive focaccia and their cardamom bun. The olive focaccia was indeed pretty amazing, no notes there. The cardamom bun was good but I’ve definitely had better - the flavour of the cardamom could have been stronger and the dough softer. The sugar coating was an interesting choice, but I felt like it could have been better with either a glaze or powdered sugar. If I ever pass by the area I’ll try something else, but I wouldn’t make the trek just for it again.
A nice cozy place but definitely struggling with space crunch due to the hype.
Barring the space to place yourself, everything on the menu is a must try.
We had the garlic cheese n chives danish with oat flat white for a sweet n savory combo.
This was followed by their breakfast muffins, which, in all honesty was just ok.
The margarita focaccia was surprisingly good. A must try.
Recommend going sooner than you expect the crowd to be low.
We also took home a loaf of their classic bread. :)
