Lambo's Deli serves up premium sub sandwiches made with high quality ingredients in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
I have had Lambos more than once and from both locations and honestly both have been delicious and have delivered when it comes to taste.
I like that their bread is on the hollow side so it doesn’t feel like you’re just eating dough and they pack them with meat and veggies. And on top of that, it stayed intact until I got home to eat it and didn’t become a sloppy mess! It is a little bit on the expensive side, but honestly, it is a fabulous treat every now and then.
Was talking about best sandwich shops in GTA and a friend told me to.gome here since I love GMLY, order the Turkey Swiss with no tomatoes and it was just okay. It's filled with meat and is a filling sandwich. But I the bread is just too soft for my liking. Has no bite or give back. Also I really don't like the honey Dijon mustard. Was an off-putting taste through the whole sandwich. For my taste this sandwich is not it.
My daughter and I were craving a real sub and came across this place and it was fantastic. $16 for a sub that was made from all fresh and wholesome ingredients. The pesto in the Turkey pesto was homemade. My daughter had the Turkey Swiss and really liked it - her only complaint was the seeded mustard, but she’s a young foodie and will grow to appreciate the finer mustards in life with time. We will return!
Visited their Leslieville location on a number of occasions - Lambo’s Deli has a reputation in the city for being one of the best sandwich shops in the city with their main Leslieville location and their other location at Trinity-Bellwoods (Dundas West). They also offer an online order option with delivery if within the area or for pickup, making it very convenient to order.
Many of their sandwiches on their main menu are highly recommended, and their specials (which are usually only available at the Leslieville location) are also unique as well. Some examples of their specials include their Heirloom Tomato Chicken Caprese special and Meatball Sub special. Their sandwiches are filling on their own, as they are usually served as full foot long sandwiches and are generously filled with toppings and deli meats. Note that some of their special sandwiches are limited for a day or two, and could also be sold out quickly due to demand. All sandwiches are made fresh when ordered as well. Their Leslieville location also offers ice cream (may be summer months only) and a variety of bottled Italian sodas available.
Overall, Lambo’s is a definite recommendation for those looking to try sandwiches in the city, among many of the popular options also available. Their location only has a limited amount of counter seating, so do expect to take any food to go.
We grabbed take out, I ordered the roast beef. A bit too much sauerkraut for my taste as it was a bit overpowering and I wasn’t able to taste the roast beef.
The downside of wraps is that when its made, the meat is on one side and when you bite into the sandwich you dont have that even taste of everything all at once. Check my photos and you will understand what I mean.
Otherwise its tasty and good, would I go again? Hhmm probably.
Lambo’s is ranked as one of Toronto’s best sandwich spots - and it earns that praise. I preordered the Italian Trio and it was fantastic: full of flavour, fresh ingredients, and great bread. Excited to try more from the menu. Glad they’ve moved to Leslieville—finally some love for east enders!
Came in just in time today before the place got absolutely packed! Good for take out or if you are lucky enough to get one of the 3 stools available. The food was absolutely delicious and at a fair value for Toronto's prices which is a huge plus. Will definitely visit again!
I’m as big a sub sandwich fan as the next person, but when it comes to a $20 sandwich, it has to be worth it.
I ordered the turkey pesto and the roast beef sandwiches. The roast beef comes stacked with provolone, pickled fennel, tomato, horseradish cream, mustard, and arugula. It strikes the perfect balance: tangy from the horseradish and mustard, fresh from the fennel and greens, and rich from the beef and cheese. It’s generously filled and packed with flavour. Personally, I’d add a touch more horseradish for an extra kick, but that’s just me. I also think a jus or dipping sauce would be an excellent addition to this sandwich.
The turkey pesto was delicious too. It features a generous helping of mozzarella, roasted red peppers, pickled onions, arugula, and of course, pesto. I was a bit worried this one might be oily or soggy by the time it was delivered, but it held up surprisingly well. Super tasty and satisfying.
The ingredients in both sandwiches are clearly well thought out, and with the generous portions of toppings, I’d say they’re worth the price tag.
I liked it! Fresh ingredients, fast, and Italian flavor in every bite. I spent $50 for two sandwiches and two bottled sodas which was worthy. I ordered the Trio Italian(might be too spicy for some, strong flavor of the calabrian chilli and the soppressata) and the Turkey Pesto (this one is fresh and light). I went to the Queens East Location. Staff are nice and friendly. You can eat inside, however, you might find all seats occupied. Therefore, is better for a takeout.
By far, this is the best Italian deli sandwich I have ever had, and the quality of the ingredients used in the sandwiches is out of this world. I definitely will be coming back to try the other options. They have on the menu and to try the different drinks they also offer. Some of the selling points I liked were the price point at which they were selling the subs and also the variety of drinks they had. The menu they had offered subs for different appetites and people who wanted to just try different flavours and combinations. The combinations they had for their subs were well complementing and also the service itself was very quick and accommodating. Definitely recommend this place to those who are looking for a great sub with exceptional quality
This was everything I wanted and more!
I spend a lot of time travelling in places where subs or hoagies are these mysterious unfathomable things, so I was craving one very badly. And not some cheap submarine chain restaurant type junk either. I wanted the Real Thing TM.
So, I got really lucky that this place is 5 minutes from me.
The sandwiches are massive, absolutely packed full of meat and toppings. And the flavour is perfect.
Not to mention the branding. It's such an awesome throwback, both the physical restaurant and the food itself. The price may seem a bit steep at first, but it's excellent value and I actually had some leftover it was so big, and ate it much later and it was still good.
Love everything about this place!
