Dough Bakeshop
"DOUGH BAKESHOP is entirely family owned and operated, established in 2009. All our goods are made in-house, from scratch. We focus on small batch artisanal bread, pastries, sweets, take-home meals, soups, and breakfast sandwiches, but also carry an assortment of Canadian-made preserves and fine foods. Welcome!"
I had such a wonderful experience visiting this spot on Danforth Avenue. The atmosphere is lovely, and the outdoor seating was the perfect place to enjoy a cold drink on a sunny day.
I was really impressed by their selection of grab-and-go meals. The fridge is stocked with so many options, including different types of lasagna and stews, which makes dinner planning much easier. I also picked up a key lime pie that looked absolutely perfect, topped with a single slice of lime. It tasted just as good as it looked. I will definitely be coming back soon to try more of their offerings.
Dough is the most lovely local bakery - everything is made with care. In particular, my family loves their breakfast sandwiches, pizza dough, hallah bread, and all of their sweets especially the lemon squares. We pre-order their cakes for special occasions and are never disappointed. Highly recommend!

We ordered a custom cake for our daughter's 5th birthday and it was perfect. She loved the k-pop demon hunter theme, and we loved the perfectly sweet buttercream and fluffy cake. Also, their peanut butter confetti bars are my all-time favourite sweet treat.
So this is definitely my go to bakery. I was just telling someone about how good their cookies are and I figure I should share this information with everyone.. I literally have friends who die over the chocolate chip cookies and I must say they are a fantastic every day cookie not those overrated cookies.
I am a huge fan of their croissants. I think they’re delicious. Biggest problem is which one to get cause they’re also good. I normally I’m getting the chocolate one.
But I must also give the biggest shout out to their challah buns. The challah bread is great too, but something about the challah buns. I can’t explain it. I’m not even a bread person. They are the best tasting things ever. You can use them for sandwiches they use them for their breakfast sandwiches .
Sometimes we’ll just eat them plain cause they’re that good.
I started off by talking about cookies now I can start listing all the things I love. I’m going to stop now and go visit.

This is a cute and cozy shop in the Danforth with super tasty food. I love the different bread choices, take away premade meals handy in a pinch. The breakfast sandwhich are amazing, fluffy and tasty croissants. I love the Nanaimo Bars, perfect texture and mouth watering taste, carrot cake is almost as good as my mom’s and it’s moist cake. The date square is my hubby’s go to, and the staff is amazing. Reasonably priced, because let’s be real it costs money to buy quality ingredients. I love the staff, and family run business and the love they pour into it. Nothing is perfect, but this place is a slice of heaven and built to last with a community vibe and a small but mighty army of returning customers which speaks volumes against the “other” 1 star posers.
I love coming here, it’s been my go to for many years! So many delicious treats to choose from. One of my favourite is Gateau Basque, does that look like much but it’s soo tasty, must try. Butter tarts or hello Linda squares and many more locally made desserts.
Always fresh and always friendly. Super cute place!

I love everything here! Have been coming for 13+ years. Their mac and cheese is my go to gift for anyone with a new baby or having a hard time. Their cakes are delicious and flavourful and moist. Their jalepeno poppers (croissant w jalepeno and cheddar and cream cheese) are dynamite. 🌟
One of my favourite east end bakeries and local businesses on Danforth. The breakfast sandwiches and fruit and cheese danishes are my go-tos, but I also love their flourless chocolate cakes, cupcakes and cookies, especially during the holidays. The staff are always friendly and attentive, it's hard to not stop in whenever I'm in the neighbourhood.

Dough is the best go to bakery on the Danforth! They always have fresh desserts and treats. The pecan square, almond croissant, cheese tea biscuit are some of my favourites that never disappoint.
Their breakfast sandwiches on a weekend morning are a great treat and feel so home made, go for the peameal! You won’t be disappointed. Not a huge selection of lunch sandwiches but that’s not their main focus so I get it. Though I will say I’ve had their chicken salad sandwich and it was good, just a bit small.
Picking up their soups from the fridge section has been so wonderful on cold winter days!
Also have ordered birthday cakes and seasonal items on pre-orders… always a hit at any party! Dough is always a great idea. I’m so grateful for a reliable and brag worthy bakery!

We love Dough! Since I started working on the bus Danforth a few years ago, this bakery has become a family tradition! My dad will come from Scarborough just to have his favourite cheese scones and flourless chocolate cake. We have ordered cakes and special treats for family celebrations and holidays! We go in all thr time and are greeted by such kind, warm staff. All of thr bakes goods are awesome! And the other items (such as specialty pre-made food items, frozen and fresh food made in-house, and even a little special spot selling vintage items) all being such joy and have allowed us to buy gifts for family and friends from a local store! ❤️ We love you, Dough! Thanks for letting us shop local!

I met up with a friend here in May. The place us cozy and cramped. The coffee was good. They also had a decent enough selection of snacks to go with your coffee.
As you can see from.my pics they have other items they sell.
The service wasn't great, nor friendly. They didn't even try to promote any if the pastries.
I was disappointed in that they served on a paper cup rather than a ceramic cup one would expect. I find that paper cups negatively affect the taste of coffee and the whole experience.
Being on the Danforth, paid street parking is available if you can find it. Also, you get the added entertainment bonus from the eclectic range of pedestrians.
Check this place out if your strolling the area.

I have been going to this bakery for years - it’s a key element of the Danforth community. In particular have been getting cakes / cupcakes for my two girls’ birthday parties, always a big hit. Super friendly and welcoming staff and everything I’ve bought from there has been amazing and fresh.
