It is honestly hard to fail at preparing completos, yet somehow they managed to do so by adding sauces and ingredients far beyond the traditional recipe. What should be a simple, balanced, and iconic Chilean dish became something unrecognizable.

The empanadas were a sad shadow of what they are in Chile. I had never even heard of chorizo empanadas before—an unfortunate mutation that you can try here if you’re curious. They lacked the flavor, texture, and authenticity that define a proper Chilean empanada.

Overall, the experience felt more like a form of cultural appropriation than a respectful representation of Chilean food. I understand that ingredients may differ outside Chile, and I don’t expect someone’s grandmother in the kitchen. But when a place claims to offer Chilean dishes, I do expect serious research and a genuine effort to replicate traditional flavors. Unfortunately, that effort was not evident here.

The nachos were the best thing we had 🤩🤩🤩 absolutely delicious tortilla chips and lots of toppings!! Guacamole was also really fresh. The steak fries and eggs were also good but I wasn’t a huge fan of the fries, but still yummy. Interior was beautiful and I would definitely come back again :)

I just absolutely love this place. Best sandwiches I've ever had personally- and I've now tried them all. I think the chacarero is my favourite but it honestly depends on my mood. Tacos are also bomb diggity, and hot dogs are also yummy if you're into that sorta thing. And hands down best yucca fries ever.

Our server recommended the classic churrasco and the tacos - we got both - and it was very good. The meat (sliced beef and sliced pork) were cooked on a plancha and had a tasty charred flavour to it. There was a tad too much sauce in the sandwich for my personal liking, but I appreciated that the condiments were served cold and cut the richness of the meat.

The pisco sour here is authentic and tastes amazing. I liked the chicken empanadas better, as the beef was a bit too oily. Service could be better. Regardless we had a great time and really enjoyed the ambience.

Nice place fun menu. Steak and chicken taco, the steak was definitely better. Would love to see more tapas sides. Also the tacos were vere good but not filling and needed something. . I am not sure if it was more avocado. or like a sauce. Definitely more of a good snack then lunch

3 Hard shell loaded chicken tacos tasted authentic. Great price too. $15. The woman working wasn’t friendly at all. Seemed like I was such an inconvenience.

The burger itself can have more veggies but the meat was fresh so I loved it. The portion of regular fries were huge and Yucca fries were so good too.
Staff was very helpful and friendly. Sat down at the patio. It was a such a good vibe.
Glad they know what they are doing👍🏽

Came for a brunch service.

The staff greeted us right away and extremely friendly. Took a bit long to for them to take our order, but they were apologetic and kind about it.

Food was good, portions were a tad small for the costs. Another big issue was it took a long time for the food to come out, despite it being relatively quiet in the restaurant. Huge variety of options though, and a lot of desserts that can be taken home as well. I’d recommend popping in for brunch if you’re in the area!

Sad to be writing this but one of the worst experiences I’ve had dining out in a really long time. We suspect they might be racist…

Came into the restaurant for brunch and was promptly seated. We sat around and waited a little bit for menus/water. Nothing was served. No problem, it happens! I waved a waiter down and asked for a menu. It was during this time that another table had come in. We already decided on our order and were waiting for someone to take it. We were completely forgotten. The new table that came in however, were promptly served their waters, menus, and had their orders taken within 10 mins. Again, we had to flag the waiter down…just to order. By the time the waiter took our order, the new table got their food. We were pretty annoyed at this point since there was a clear difference in the service being provided (same waiter). The food took a really long time to come out as well. When our food came out, the table that came in AFTER had finished and paid.

It was really disappointing to be forgotten and served poorly. I would understand if it was busy but there were many empty tables. I really didn’t want to think the worst of this restaurant but can’t help but feel like the people working were racist. The table who was served better was White while our table was fully Asian. Unfortunate especially since this restaurant is located in Chinatown.

Pretty good.

A churrasco I had in Santiago, Chile became the best sandwich I had ever eaten in my life. I desperately missed it and wanted to get my fix. While it doesn’t compare to the one in Chile (photo attached), it is still a very good sandwich. Disappointed it didn’t really have that authentic Chilean mayo and could’ve used more avocado but still a good sandwich! I’d order it again in the future.

Empanada was actually delicious. The fries though bit of a miss, overpriced for what it is. All in all, decent, can recommend at least once.

Went for brunch with the gals, super easy to get a table for 5 when we went in at noon on a Sunday. Mimosas came out fast but the Paloma took a while to get made both times. On the plus side drinks were BOGO free during happy hour and mimosas were only $5. I got the breakfast burrito and 3 mimosas and with 20% tip it was under $50. Super delicious food and really nice staff

Loved this spot! Got the goat cheese fries and empanadas. Never had a fresher empanada in my life! It was unreal. The owner/manager is very nice too. Love the bar top seats. Great neighborhood diner!

I had the chorizo churrasco sandwich with egg and fries, and a Dulce de leche doughnut. Both were amazing, the sandwich is big enough to split with two, and the Dulce de leche doughnut was fresh and very nice to look at. Will definitely return!

August 2022: Oh my God, I'm in love with this place! It's rare these days that I have such a wonderful experience that I fall for getting dessert even when full, and for such an amazing price too.

Everything was superb about this. I'd been a few times before to pick up an oat latte and ordered Uber Eats but I try not to base reviews on take away/Uber. I enjoyed it then so figured we'd stop for lunch and dine in.

Perfect for us they have a dog-friendly patio. Nice and shaded and not on the busy street like so many CafeTO offerings. Service was friendly, quick, and excellent.

You get so much food for the price! I cannot stress this enough. These days I'm so accustomed to a $12 hotdog being some small little thing on a thin bun with maybe a little bit of topping. This was totally loaded with veggies and guac! And came with fries too! The bonus is that it is super tasty and high-quality. I don't normally get all of that in one package. Value for money is phenomenal. Just be ready to get a little messy ;) There are so many toppings and sauces.

Frankly, I can't understand why anybody would go anywhere else in all of Leslieville/Riverside/Danforth for South American tacos when you can get them here. They are huge, delicious and you get 3 for $14! We couldn't even finish all the food. As always, the oat latte was great. At the end, our server talked us into some brigadeiro (truffles) for dessert and you get 3 for $5!

Overall, fantastic experience! Will definitely return over and over. Today, we saw the big queue for Lady Marmalade and only a few tables in use just a block away at Completo and have to tell Torontonians to lay off on this insistence on eggs benny for brunch (it's not *that* great). Think outside the box. I know I sound like a shill, but seriously, I want Completo to stay around for a long time and if you're in line for a typical brunch, like 1 min away is an awesome alternative, and perfect at every other time too.

UPDATE, January 2025: Still 5 stars. :D I am so glad this place stays the same year after year. I've been here numerous times and counting, and it is always good, always consistent, and everything is delicious.

A friend and I decided to have brunch here and we were thrilled we did. The fries were fantastic, mimosas were $5, I got a beef hot dog and it was delicious, and the service was friendly and prompt. Ive also had their empanadas before and they were flavourful and very fairly priced. I’ll definitely be making this my new go to brunch spot on the east end!

We love it here! The food is fantastic, and the service is, too. This location has some indoor seating, and is licensed! Highly recommend.

Broadview location is a great addition to the neighborhood. Really interesting menu, very well prepared, generous portions. Take-out was great.

We have been fans of their first restaurant on Coady for years, but there is no indoor seating there, so this is fabulous. This spot has loads of seating, a wonderful staff and terrific food.
