Very disappointed in the service. I have been coming here for almost two years as it’s my favourite breakfast sandwich town, but the service has really gone downhill. Doesn't matter how many people order inside, as you are put in a queue with Uber orders making a wait time for a simple breakfast sandwich between 30-45 minutes . If you ask staff how much longer they will just give you a vague answer like “it’s coming” . Took my brother in law here when he was visiting, when I asked for extra sauce as there wasnt enough on there they wanted to charge us for what was 2 teaspoons of sauce and didnt apologize about the wait time. Ended up wasting bunch of our day. I want this place to stick around and keep bringing my friends and family here when they visit, but something about the service has to change.

Absolutely the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had! I got the jalapeño/cheddar biscuit sandwich with mushrooms and a drip coffee. The sandwich was delicious and the coffee was the perfect temperature. I did have to wait for a bit for the sandwich but it was completely worth it. Will definitely be back!

i very much did not expect to be BLOWN AWAY by this biscuit breakfast sandwich. first of all, the entire sandwich was super warm when i got it and it just tasted so fresh. the biscuit itself was remarkable — the outside was so crunchy (it was grilled a bit) and that gave it a peRFECTTTT baked flavour. the inside was SOOO moist and there was not a sINGLE hint of dryness, and it wasn’t overly mushy either. truly perfect. permeating throughout each bite was a slightly salty, cheesy, cheddary taste, complemented by crispy strips of bacon that was not overpowering at all, its flavour was honestly not as distinct as i expected (good for a breakfast sandwich because then it’s not so greasy). the thick egg (not scrambled) was soft, kinda bouncy, and had a very subtle/barely noticeable taste. there was also hint of fresh, earthy pesto that tied everything together. the sandwich was a bit oily, but it wasn’t too heavy tasting at all. i also would recommend getting hot sauce on it, because it gives it a perfect tangy kick. you can really tell they’ve perfected the sandwich — i prefer this sandwich over sleepy pete’s. not to mention, they’ve got an AMAZING playlist (clairo!!! beabadoobee!!) and everyone there is quite friendly.

This is a great coffee shop for urban Toronto on Bloor street that also has a menu to choose from and a few tables if you want to eat in. The prices are reasonable for this area in Toronto and this establishment has been here for a number of years. I had coffee and a breakfast sandwich and my wife has a coffee and fresh muffin. The muffin was fresh and moist instead of dry like may places here. The breakfast sandwich was good and also fresh made and hot. And the service from Zophia was efficient, friendly and excellent. If you are in this area and want a break and a bit to eat then you should visit this establishment!

I always have such a great experience anytime I go toe Saving Gigi. It’s such cute little coffee shop. It has a very homey comfy vibe that I enjoy. The baked are usually very fresh and taste amazing. And most of all I find the customer service to be very good. Especially from the manager. She’s always so kind and pleasant and has such a great attitude and spirit about her. I can see why is staff is so good. They must follow her lead. 10 outta 10 no notes. I always recommend this spot and so far everyone I’ve recommended it to has enjoyed themselves. And each for different reasons. Great spot.

**NEW EDIT**

October 2024: Had the bacon breakfast sandwich on a biscuit this time. I ordered wrong the first time! It’s clear this place isn’t known for its’ sandwich on the English muffin. Get it on the Jalapeño Cheddar biscuit. The size, taste, and consistency is made to match perfectly on the biscuit. And to my surprise, it wasn’t as overwhelming as biscuits tend to be (not overly heavy and dense, not too dry). Bacon was way better this time around vs. my previous comments. Always worth giving places a second go!

If you like English muffin sammys, not the place for you. But if you like biscuits - this is very good!

July 2024:
Mind you, breakfast sandwiches on biscuits are delicious but sometimes overwhelming, and doesn’t let the other ingredients come through. I know that biscuits are their “signature”. I opted for the English muffin to make sure I’m consistent amongst everywhere I go! So my experience was just, a bit below average for what the sandwich was.

Overall it was fine, half boiled egg cup with chives was great in taste and adding the hot sauce added a nice flavour, mayo/spread was tasty too. However the bacon tasted… microwavey….which ruined it a bit for me. The egg was also tiny but tall, so I took a couple of bites without it, then other bites overwhelmed by the flavour.

I would like this sandwich much more if the egg was consistent across the size of the sandwich, and the infrastructure in the location had something to crisp up some fresh bacon.

Outdoor space is cute, but seats crammed awkwardly inside. Had to maneuver tightly through and touched people as I was trying to get to my seat. Maybe next time I’ll try the biscuit if I ever go back.

Yum!!! The veggie breakfast sandwiches were delish. The sausage is substituted with mushrooms.

Located on Bloor, this cute shop has the vibe of a cozy neighbourhood. The patio feels secluded and is a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee.

The chocolate chip cookie is a must! It’s salted and has the perfect crunch to chewy ratio.

The literal best breakfast sandwich I've ever had! Jalapeno cheddar biscuit, egg, cheese, and bacon - *chefs kiss*!! I already want another one. Cute spot with a few seats inside and a few tables outside too. :)

OMG 😱

Instant classic breakfast sandwich.

Cheddar jalapeno biscuit with egg, bacon and the hot sauce. Love at first bite. Good size for a quick meal.

I wish the spot had juice to drink. The only options are coffee and water in the morning.

Visited Saving Gigi as part of an event. It's a cozy and intimate space, great for co-working or catching up with friends for coffee.

Got to sample their breakfast items which included a granola yogurt fruit bowl, assorted breakfast sandwiches and wraps, fluffy cheese biscuits, and baked cookies. My top picks would be the breakfast sandwich, the biscuit sandwich, and fluffy cheese biscuits.

Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.

Its a charming friendly local Cafe serving top quality coffees and Freshley on the premises Baked Pastries.

The Breakfast menu is interesting and the Scones and Muffins are superb .

Lovely place to sit in the sun. Great coffee and best granola I've tasted. Slightly disappointed in the breakfast roll, but overall a good experience:)

Friendly and fast, all the while being laid back. Baked goods: must try scones and tea biscuits. Cookies looked fantastic, and huge!!

All Day Breakfast Menu and good lunch menu. Breakfast Wrap and Lentil Soup w Salad all fresh and generous servings. Very sweet counter staff. Patio for Summer looks appealing. Great spot for lunch or a coffee. Loved the homemade-ness of everything.
