Saving Gigi is located at 859 Bloor St W in Toronto , ON and serves great food and drinks in Toronto
Organic Fair-Trade Coffee, Local Craft Beer, All Day Breakfast & Fresh Baked Treats
This is a great coffee shop for urban Toronto on Bloor street that also has a menu to choose from and a few tables if you want to eat in. The prices are reasonable for this area in Toronto and this establishment has been here for a number of years. I had coffee and a breakfast sandwich and my wife has a coffee and fresh muffin. The muffin was fresh and moist instead of dry like may places here. The breakfast sandwich was good and also fresh made and hot. And the service from Zophia was efficient, friendly and excellent. If you are in this area and want a break and a bit to eat then you should visit this establishment!
I always have such a great experience anytime I go toe Saving Gigi. It’s such cute little coffee shop. It has a very homey comfy vibe that I enjoy. The baked are usually very fresh and taste amazing. And most of all I find the customer service to be very good. Especially from the manager. She’s always so kind and pleasant and has such a great attitude and spirit about her. I can see why is staff is so good. They must follow her lead. 10 outta 10 no notes. I always recommend this spot and so far everyone I’ve recommended it to has enjoyed themselves. And each for different reasons. Great spot.
**NEW EDIT**
October 2024: Had the bacon breakfast sandwich on a biscuit this time. I ordered wrong the first time! It’s clear this place isn’t known for its’ sandwich on the English muffin. Get it on the Jalapeño Cheddar biscuit. The size, taste, and consistency is made to match perfectly on the biscuit. And to my surprise, it wasn’t as overwhelming as biscuits tend to be (not overly heavy and dense, not too dry). Bacon was way better this time around vs. my previous comments. Always worth giving places a second go!
If you like English muffin sammys, not the place for you. But if you like biscuits - this is very good!
July 2024:
Mind you, breakfast sandwiches on biscuits are delicious but sometimes overwhelming, and doesn’t let the other ingredients come through. I know that biscuits are their “signature”. I opted for the English muffin to make sure I’m consistent amongst everywhere I go! So my experience was just, a bit below average for what the sandwich was.
Overall it was fine, half boiled egg cup with chives was great in taste and adding the hot sauce added a nice flavour, mayo/spread was tasty too. However the bacon tasted… microwavey….which ruined it a bit for me. The egg was also tiny but tall, so I took a couple of bites without it, then other bites overwhelmed by the flavour.
I would like this sandwich much more if the egg was consistent across the size of the sandwich, and the infrastructure in the location had something to crisp up some fresh bacon.
Outdoor space is cute, but seats crammed awkwardly inside. Had to maneuver tightly through and touched people as I was trying to get to my seat. Maybe next time I’ll try the biscuit if I ever go back.
Yum!!! The veggie breakfast sandwiches were delish. The sausage is substituted with mushrooms.
Located on Bloor, this cute shop has the vibe of a cozy neighbourhood. The patio feels secluded and is a great spot to enjoy a morning coffee.
The chocolate chip cookie is a must! It’s salted and has the perfect crunch to chewy ratio.
Visited Saving Gigi as part of an event. It's a cozy and intimate space, great for co-working or catching up with friends for coffee.
Got to sample their breakfast items which included a granola yogurt fruit bowl, assorted breakfast sandwiches and wraps, fluffy cheese biscuits, and baked cookies. My top picks would be the breakfast sandwich, the biscuit sandwich, and fluffy cheese biscuits.
Definitely check this place out if you're in the area.
I visited this Bohemian Sreet Corner Cafe during my recent trip to Toronto.
Its a charming friendly local Cafe serving top quality coffees and Freshley on the premises Baked Pastries.
The Breakfast menu is interesting and the Scones and Muffins are superb .
