SAMMARCO is located at 4 Front St E in Toronto , ON and serves great food and drinks in Toronto
Sammarco is an interpretation of a classic Italian steakhouse by Michelin-starred chef Rob Rossi and David Minicucci, the founders that brought the city Giulietta and Osteria Giulia
Had the pleasure of visiting Sammarco for a friend’s birthday. Here for the second time, and I can say without a doubt this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the city right now.
Started of the evening with a few starters, Raddichio salad — amazing, fresh, sweet, bitter, tangy with subtle hints of garlic. Very good salad. The Tuna Crudo w/ fois gras, exceptional. Mixed Seafood Calamari — some of the best I’ve had in the city!
Moving into the mains we decided to keep it light and grabbed two of the mixed meat dishes to share. The short ribs, lamb, pork shoulder and wagyu sausages all cooked to perfection and tasty. All the sides ordered were great too — zucchini & broccolini were 🔥
Ended off with a few desserts — the pistachio ice cream being everyone’s favourite.
All in all, a very very nice experience and honestly a dinner to remember. The food, the ambiance, the staff & attention to detail all around — unmatched.
5/5
We love great food and restaurants, and are very demanding. Sammarco is exceptional, one of the best meals we've had. Great food. Great service. Great physical space. The radichio salad is incredible. The fish was great. I'm not a fan of squid, but you have to try these! Steak was great, prawns also. Pretty much a perfect meal. Do yourself a favour!
Amazing! The first thing you notice is the gorgeous decor. The service is polished, attentive, and warm.
I started with a cocktail that was tasty. The food followed suit: fresh, delicious flavors and excellent presentation. You can tell the team here really cares about the guest experience. Thank you Marco and Aiden for a great night! :)

Friendly greeting upon entry. Seating ready at assigned time.
Wait service was impeccable.Explained the menu in detail. Answered questions knowledgeably.
Wine recommendations were explained and presented well.
Appetizers arrived at the same time with a description of each. Very tasty and hot.
Main courses of duck and beef were perfectly prepared and delicious.
Pasta was very tasty and sides of broccoli and mushrooms were equally delicious.
Two deserts were very good and accompanied with espresso- equally enjoyable.
An amazing dining experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. Our waiter was incredibly friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, and gave us some great recommendations that turned out to be perfect choices.
The food was absolutely delicious. Our appetisers were full of flavour and beautifully presented. The main dishes were outstanding, cooked perfectly and packed with rich, authentic taste. The drinks were also very well made and paired nicely with the food.
Dessert was the perfect way to end the meal. Everything was fresh, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. You can really tell that a lot of care goes into both the food and the overall dining experience.
Overall, this was a super enjoyable and memorable visit. The atmosphere, service, and food all came together perfectly. We will definitely be coming back again and would highly recommend Sammarco to anyone looking for a great restaurant.

Andrew was an amazing bartender food was phenomenal and restaurant was beautiful. It was my first time dinning there and the staff made it feel like I’ve known them for years. Amazing experience.
Second time dinning at Sammarco and it was just as good as my first time if not better. Staff is always exceptional always welcoming you and making you feel welcomed. Now let’s talk about the food easily some of the best I had in Toronto. The blue fin tuna and foie gras is absolutely world class better than the one they serve at three Michelin Star Le Bernardin I really mean that. The 100 egg fettuccine is also an absolute standout in conversation for best pasta dish in the city for me absolutely phenomenal. Gamberi Americano is another standout it’s a must order easily one of the best seafood dishes I had. And lastly, the duck it is an absolutely perfected dish. No duck I had in Toronto comes close to the one I had at three Michelin Star Eleven Madison Park but this one id put right up there with it it’s perfection. Amazing experience once again.

Our party of 5 dined at Sammarco recently. Phenomenal service, delicious food, and a great atmosphere.
The 100 egg fettuccine was delicious and extremely rich, although maybe not for everyone. Steaks were cooked beautifully. The prawns were a standout. Our entire table was also raving about the brocollini; lovely sear and flavours. Every dish was a hit, and every bite was amazing.
Great staff recommendations as well, they seemed very knowledgeable. The cocktails were all delicious too!

Book this restaurant to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday last night. Honestly had the most wonderful time and service was impeccable. From coat checking our jackets to our server who served our table.
We ordered the bread to start and it was delicious! Proceeded with the squid and tuna crudo. Omg were these delicious. I especially loved the tuna crudo- definitely a MUST when you visit. For the main, I ordered the ribeye steak , it was cooked perfectly to medium rare how we liked it and the steak was truly really good. As a side we ordered broccolini and chefs kiss delicious!! Dessert we ordered the chocolate cake- BEST chocolate cake I’ve had so far in Toronto. Honestly. It was delicious!!! My boyfriend isn’t a sweet tooth and he finished his half portion.
Highly recommended. I will be back for sure. I loved everything from start to finish.

Very intimate restaurant with unique dishes filled with high quality ingredients!
Food: (sorry but the names of the dishes were hard to remember)
Salads - Quality of the ingredients are high quality and the presentation is very glamorous, that being said, it didn’t blow me away in terms of the best salad I’ve ever had. But they did taste healthy and very fresh.
Steak tartare - Tasted great and was great to share between two people, but is not accompanied with any bread or crackers, I would get this again though
Steak - We ordered the steak Medium-Rare, but I would personally prefer Medium.
Fettuccine - Tasted very lavish and you could taste the flavour of the dozens of eggs used but the price is quite steep for $78
Mashed potatoes - I really enjoyed the mash potatoes, I would even put it up there as one of the best I’ve ever had! Perfect texture and taste!
Fried potato appetizer -
Chocolate cake - Amazing! I loved this cake and would visit just for this! Very decadent! I loved every bite!
Pistachio gelato - Incredible! I never had a pistachio gelato dessert and I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. I would also get this again.
Service:
Very classy and professional service. I appreciate them hanging onto my jacket upon arriving. We didn’t wait long for food and everything came out at a good pace. Our server was very attentive!
Ambience:
Dim lighting, intimate vibes, average noise level, and fancy but modern decor. Great for couples.
Overall, it was quite the expensive dinner totalling $600+ for a party of 5. I can see this restaurant being great for a romantic dinner for two, but not ideal for moderate-to-large groups. But tbh, I’d come back just for dessert.
It was good. Would I ever choose to return? No. But would I happily attend if invited? Yes.
Sammarco Restaurant delivered a solid, generally enjoyable evening. The food was good and very much in line with what you’d expect from a restaurant at this caliber — executed competently, nothing out of place, but also nothing that truly stood out or left me thinking, “I need to come back for that.”
Service overall was excellent, with one exception: the wine service. We had to ask multiple times to have our wine poured, and sommeliers would occasionally breeze by with other bottles without taking note of empty glasses at our table. It’s a small detail, sure, but it’s the kind of thing that separates a good experience from a great one — especially in a restaurant aiming to sit beside the usual heavy-hitters.
When you compare Sammarco to places like Jacobs, Harbour 60, or Butcher Chef, it holds its own in many respects but, in my opinion, lands just a touch short. Everything was pleasant and expected, but nothing crossed into memorable.
All in all, still a positive evening — just not one that inspires a return visit by choice.
We were dissatisfied with our dining experience. The steak was unacceptably veiny and served cold. The fettuccine, while palatable, was significantly overpriced given the small portion size. The Moscow Mule I ordered was of poor quality. The fries were comparable to those found at a fast-food establishment. Our total bill for four individuals was nearly $800, which we found to be excessive for the quality of food received. Overall, we believe the establishment is overrated.
Immaculate design!!!
Every detail here feels intentional and beautifully thought through, from the intricate floor tiling and imported Italian marble, to the stunning ceiling design and beautifully decorated walls. You can truly tell that they poured their heart and soul into creating an ambiance that’s unlike anything else you’ll find in Toronto.
Service was just as impressive. Our server, Scott(y), was not only warm and attentive but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, the cocktails, and even the story / design behind Sammarco, which added a lovely, personal touch to the evening.
For food, we ordered tuna crudo - which oh my godddd was INCREDIBLE. I could have easily ordered a few more of those!! We also got the Elora steak, which, while good, wasn’t quite the “melt-in-your-mouth” experience we were hoping for. The risotto leaned a bit too fish-forward for our taste, so I’d skip it unless you enjoy a stronger seafood flavor. The meat platter, however, was excellent — a beautiful variety of meats, with the lamb chop stealing the show.
Overall, an absolutely stunning restaurant with exceptional service and design — a true feast for the senses, even if a couple of dishes didn’t quite hit the same high note as the space itself.
Spectacular experience for my husband’s birthday. We sat at the bar and the service from the entire team was incredible. The bartenders were extremely charming and knowledgeable, the sommelier made a wonderful recommendation based on our preferences. We even had a server come over and say “I noticed you looking at the steak we just dropped off, that’s the 18oz etc etc”… he saw us wonder (cuz it looked amazing) and answered our question without us having to ask. They also brought out a wooden platform so that my bag wouldn’t have to be on the ground. The doorman and hostess greeting was so warm and welcoming. Gorgeous room and details on the dinnerware and napkins etc. The food was gorgeous and exciting.
High prices, but the prices are warranted if you value an amazing experience from the second you arrive to the second you leave. You get what you pay for here.
Beautiful venue, attentive staff. Decent food. Steak is good but it is just steak and you can do the equivalent at home for less. The real stars are the sauces. We had the jumbo prawns - amazing. Sea food tower great but probably too much for just two - just enough for four. The waiter suggested the rizzoto - he was spot on. Full of crab it was a treat. The zucchini flowers and the cream sauce were great. The pine apple bomb looked amazing but I don’t like pineapple so my dinner companions enjoyed that thoroughly. I had the chocolate cake which everyone loved.
Sammarco just opened in May 2025 and it’s already one of Toronto’s best fine dining experiences. From the moment we arrived, service was flawless—our server Erika was incredible. She knew exactly what to recommend, and everything she suggested was perfect. You can tell the staff have worked in high-end restaurants before; they’re polished, professional, and genuinely pleasant.
The food was absolutely outstanding—10/10. The starters, especially the Iberico pork pieces and the lamb, were next-level. Every dish was executed with precision and depth of flavour you only get at the very top tier of dining.
Having eaten at multiple Michelin restaurants, I can confidently say Sammarco is on track to earn one very soon. Highly recommend for anyone looking for an exceptional meal in Toronto.
