Forno Cultura is located at 609 King St W in Toronto , ON and serves great food and drinks in Toronto
I got a recommendation to try this place in Toronto and I have to say that the culinary experience was somewhat underwhelming. Thing is - we went in with high expectations given the buzz, and I was a bit disappointed with the food. Not that it’s not good - on the contrary, if you like bread and pastries, this place does it well - but when it comes to breakfast sandwiches, I felt they were bland.
Their coffee s good though - and they have
this open kitchen concept which I thought was cool.
Overall, it’s still is a place to try given the quality of the ingredients used - but if you like flavors - you might wanna stay away from the egg sandwiches. It’s also on the pricey side - we paid 43$ for 2 sandwiches and 2 flat whites + 1 baba au rhum.
I had high hopes for Forno Culture given all the buzz, but overall it was just okay. The sandwiches were fresh, but nothing particularly stood out in terms of flavor. Bread was decent, but a bit too chewy for my liking. The ingredients seemed good quality, but the combinations felt kind of safe and uninspired.
Service was friendly, Prices are on the higher side, and I didn’t feel the experience or food quite justified the cost.
Not a bad place by any means, but I’m not in a rush to come back. Might give it another try in the future to see if things improve.
I was really impressed with the quality here! The bread is incredibly fresh and has a unique, interesting flavor. I tried one of their sandwiches and it was absolutely delicious — super fresh, tasty, and well put together. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate good bread and quality ingredients!
Love this place! They have some of the best grab-and-go breakfast options in the city, and the cookies are a must — you really can’t go wrong with any of them. They’re a bit pricey for how small they are, but absolutely worth it for the quality and flavor. Not much outdoor seating, but there’s some available inside for when you want to enjoy your treats on the spot.
Been here a bunch of times - every time it hits. The pastries are so unique and flavourful. My favourite is the chocolate poppyseed croissant (I think that's the one!). The staff is friendly, plus there's usually some free samples. Would highly recommend for unique semi-Italian pastries! If I lived close it would definitely be dangerous in multiple regards.
As a traveler and amateur foodie, Forno Cultura lights everything I love about food. A trip to Toronto is not complete without at least a stop or two here.
This is a local gem. The food - pastries - sandwiches - lattes are as fresh as it gets. And you get to see these artisans working their craft.
An absolute must enjoy and the people watching is second-to-none.
Great hidden gem. Located on the lower level. Good selection of sandwiches, pastries, cookies, and bread. Nice place to grab a coffee. Limited seating, can overlook the kitchen where they are making fresh bread. A small bottle shop and a few other food items for sale (pasta, sauce).
I am a regular at their first Canadian place branch and really like their lunch sandwiches. Great vegetarian options and fresh ingredients. I visited this one on king to try their breakfast sandwich early morning. The vibe is great and the place is really nice to start the day with a quiet coffee and sandwich while the chefs are doing their magic right in front of you. It’s a great experience watching them work. I was not bowled over by my choice of sandwich but the cortado was nice and I picked a loaf of bread on my way out. Always a nice experience eating here.
This Italian bakery is well worth visiting...a combination of a gourmet grocer with fresh baked goods, wines and retail fare.
The baked goods is so delicious from artisanal breads, pastries, cakes and sandwiches...a deli on location has seating on both inside and outside, but the best part for me is the viewing window in which you can witness the bakers preparing and kneading fresh dough into something delectably tasty.
The service was good, attentive and welcoming, I love the atmosphere of this nice little place and would recommend to anyone who wants to try fresh on a daily...looking forward to my next visit.
We have been visiting Forno Cultura (King St. location) regularly for the 6 or 7 years. Amazing food, fun vibe and you get a peek behind the "curtain" (large window separating the bakers in the kitchen from the retail space) while you wait in line. And you likely will wait in line. Purchase pre-made frozen meals, fresh breads & pastries, an interesting local drink selection or our favourite - the sandwiches. The prosciutto sandwich is hands down our favourite and usually the first to sell out at lunch time. For devouring your delicious food - you can sit inside, however it's very limited seating and it gets a little squishy. If the weather is nice, there are picnic benches right outside on King St. or you can walk over to Victoria Memorial Park and sit on a bench for great people and dog watching as well. Other locations don't carry the same vibe, however if you're looking for a good sandwich on the go, you can also visit their location in West Queen West or in the PATH.
