Patty Time
Stuffed meat pies & Jamaican mains turned out in an unpretentious counter-service location.
Patty prices here are the most expensive I’ve seen so far (from patty factories) at $28.99 per dozen, with the same price whether you purchase baked or unbaked. The single patty I bought was more expensive, at $2.95 PLUS tax, which ended up being $3.09 (no tax for boxes of patties though). Only cash will be accepted for payment.
The patties came out HOT. Although the price per patty is quite high, the inside of the patties were STUFFED with meat. Meat is kind of too minced for me and I prefer flaky patties with more fragrance.
My wife and I went out to Scarborough and stopped by Patty Time. Picked up six beef patties, six chicken patties, and one cocoa bread. Honestly, this has to be one of the best patties I’ve had in a long time. Definitely heading back next week for a re-up! 🔥🥟
Best patties I've ever had. They're juicy in the middle, with flaky and crunchy dough. Not to mention they're very flavorful. The lady at the counter was very sweet and the service was quick! $2.50 per patty + tax, and they take cash only.
Absolutely recommend.
The patties here were delicious. Lots of delicious filling, perfect crunch and flakyness. We got a box of fresh patties to take home and they were straight out of the oven. Small little takeout counter, good customer service. Noticeably more expensive than other patty places.
Had to try the patty. Very busy spot around d 12pm, which means it's good! Service was good and quick. I ordered 2 beef pattys very fresh and hot. The meat was watery, but once I let it cool down, it tasted good. Spices were tasteful. The shell was cripsy. This is probably the most affordable beef patty I've had in a while. Each patty was $2.85, and Patty cost me $6.45 cash for both. It's worth a try. I'll definitely come back to try some meals. I didn't know they only took cash. So bring the $$
I attended Patty Time after a friend had told me how good the patties are. Well I happened to be at the nearby hospital visiting someone and decided to attend Patty Time to grab a couple of patties for lunch. When I entered the place I was warmly greeted by a lady at the front counter. Well the patty itself was absolutely delicious. The pastry is so fresh and flaky and not thick at all. The inside of the patties are very tasty and moist not dry and a wonderful mix of spices. The patties are not too spicy but just right. I have eaten patties from a lot of places and Patty Time is the best in my books. You also can't beat the prices which are extremely reasonable.
There has long been talk about who has the best jamaican patties in Toronto. Look no more. Answer is here. Nicely spicy with the scotch bonnet peppers. Flaky and not too thick crust. The meat to crust ratio is perfect and the meat has not been cooked down to a paste and still has some texture.
traditional beef patties and chicken are great. Good spice and fresh coca bread... Someday will need to understand why we jam a patty into another bread and eat.... but it good dat way... great ox-tail on rice and peas. My kids love this especially the gravy on the rice. Great place
