Patty Time
Stuffed meat pies & Jamaican mains turned out in an unpretentious counter-service location.
The patties here are amazing I think it’s the best in the city. It’s just annoying that they only take cash. The service is mid, but the patties tasting so good make up for it. It can get very busy so the earlier you go the better but I do love the patties here!
Hands down THE Best beef patties in town right now. Although I had to wait 8-10 min for my 2 boxes they came out hot and fresh! Be careful you can burn your mouth if you rush to bite into one lol The ladies working behind counter were very pleasant too 😊
Went to Patty Time for the first time today, and I never thought a patty could blow my mind.
Hands down, the best beef patty I’ve ever had! The crust was perfectly flaky, while the filling was juicy, flavourful, and absolutely delicious.
It’s honestly hard to find places that nail both the crust and the filling.
Sure, it’s pricier than some other places, but you’re paying for the quality and incredible flavour. Worth every bite.
Went by this afternoon (Aug. 6) to pick up some Patties. To my surprise, they raised the prices (again) on the food post-Caribana/Civic Holiday vacation when the store was closed.
Patties - Now $3.25 each, Dozen Baked/Unbaked is now $32.00
Meals - They got rid of the “Small” and “Large” options. It’s now just one price for a standard size. Price now $20.99 (Oxtail) $18.99 (Curry Goat). Combo price is $20.99.
Price hike was a shock to a bunch of patrons I observed who were confused. Some brought enough expecting the previous pricing system and had to down size or just leave because they didn’t have enough. While others paid the extra.
Sad to see as this is the 2nd price hike in a year.
They’re on Instagram now so hopefully they use that to communicate closures and price raises ahead of time.
Patties are so flavourful and better than a lot of other places I've tried. The place wasn’t busy when I got there before noon, but there was still a steady stream of customers coming in, so they’re clearly popular for a reason. The ladies at the front were polite, welcoming, and very helpful. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend Patty Time.

I travelled over an hour to try this place out a few months ago and was able to snag the last patty box for the day. I felt so blessed. I ended up getting a single patty as well for a snack on the way home and enjoyed it so much that I had to go back for another one. The customer service was so good that they gave me cocoa bread to go with my patty and warmed it up for me. Would definitely travel again for this. 10/10

The hype is well deserved!
These truly are the best patties I’ve had to date.
Allan’s used to be my favorite.
Then it was Randy’s.
And now I’ll give the title to Patty Time.
It’s super busy here so be prepared to wait in line.
Tip: Ask where the line is because there are a lot of people simply just waiting to get their order.
This is a very cool small authentic hotspot for Jamaican food and patties. I only tried the patties. The fillings were very good. Meaty and flavourful with a great amount of fire 🔥 or spicy. The wait was kind of cool. There are no seats and the restaurant is packed with people standing and waiting. Every ethnicity is there which is truly Torontonian. Service is smooth with a good system. Considering how busy it is the wait isn't long and it's got a buzz about it. Good vibes 👍🏼

The place does get quite busy so there will be some wait ordering and receiving the food but the beef patty was fantastic.
I've tried patties from less than 10 places so I may not be an expert, but this has been the best patty I have ever had. The ratio was perfect and the flavor was amazing.
Would love to come back here again.
