Randy's Take-Out
Beef patties & other traditional Jamaican dishes are offered to take away at this local mainstay.
First thing Saturday morning, we were the last in the initial opening rush but the line went fast. Our initial thoughts of the piping hot beef patties were way too goopy/runny. Messy to eat, but the flavour and spice worth it. Our go to has always been Allan's Pastries' spicy beef patties that are flanker but Randy's filling is tastier.
Absolutely amazing food and service! Randy’s Take Out never disappoints every dish is full of authentic flavour, perfectly seasoned, and made fresh to order. The portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Whether you’re grabbing a quick lunch or taking dinner home for the family, you can always count on Randy’s for great taste and consistency. Definitely one of my go-to spots highly recommend!
The service is almost immediate and the staff is nice. Of course no seating as this is a takeout place. The jerk chicken patty was the best by far it has a nice spicy kick to it. I tasted the smokiness similar to pimento, the filling had a nice creamy consistency and you can taste actual chicken from this patty. The outside had the right crisp to it, I would definitely come back! Simply $4 for one jerk chicken patty and $3 for a chicken patty.
The BEST Jamaican Patty in Toronto, PERIOD. The Coco Bread just melts in your mouth.
Great presentation, Service with a Smile from all staff at the Eaton Centre Location on 25 JULY 2025.
What more can you ask for?
I grew up with Jamaican Patties, and Randy's took me back down Memory Lane today.
KEEP IT UP RANDY'S, AND THANKS FOR MAKING ME SMILE :)
I hadn’t visited Randy’s in years and was really excited to get their beef patties after so long. These patties did not disappoint! They were so flavourful and stuffed. I love the level of spice as well, my partner doesn’t usually enjoy spicy food but he devoured his patty. The crust was also perfectly flaky and buttery. The staff were so friendly and helpful. I will definitely be visiting again soon! Also as a side note to those who haven’t been there in a while, they do accept credit/debit now!
Smashing IT! 🇯🇲🍹🇯🇲
Randy's takeout is an establishment that has historical roots in the Jamaican community.
Nestled in trendy hipster in Eglington Avenue West close to the TTC with easy access to get to.
Randy's is serving up some of the city's best jerk chicken rice and peas and the top number one spot for beef patties.
So if you're in the neighborhood, drop off to Randy's and enjoy some authentic Jamaican eats without requiring a passport.
Make sure you get to Randy’s early because they do tend to sell out!
This isn't my typical spot in the area were i grab patties but I would stop into the old Randy's from time to time when I was close by so I am familiar with their products. Now that the hype has died down and there isn't any long lines I decided to go in today to pick up a dozen. The lady at the cash was welcoming and friendly..service was quick and seamless I ordered a dozen beef and two jerk chicken patties. The wait was reasonable not long at all. The taste test the jerk chicken was fine did it blow my mind ? No but it was good lots of filling..now onto the beef..same reaction and it didn't really remind me of the old Randy's patties BUT it was well seasoned, had a good amount of filling and it wasn't dry. My only comment is the crust, personally I like a much flakier crust. All in all the patties are decent and staff are doing a great job.
I use to Randy’s as a kid. I had the patties numerous times. Imagine my surprise when I ordered a chicken patty. What I got is pictured below. I was told it was stew chicken patty. The flavour didn’t met my expectations. I know Randy’s patties as curry chicken. I should mention I went to the pop up location at Eaton Center. I have not been to other location. I don’t feel like I am going to make that trek to be disappointed again.
