An excellent cozy restaurant featuring an extensive drink list and classic pub fare with a South American twist.

We came for lunch service and we were pleasantly surprised at the steady stream of diners. Already a good sign.

We ordered the Mac & Cheese from the kids menu, and the Fried Chicken. Both arrived in short time, freshly made.

The mac and cheese was delicious enough for my little one to polish off entirely.

The fried chicken came with a side of chimichurra that cut through the oil, and in-house cut french fries that were crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. The chicken was extremely crunch and piping hot.

The service was excellent and attentive.

Chadwicks is located about a 15 minute walk from Casa Loma, and a 10 minute walk from George Brown College Casa Loma branch. If you're coming from the Yonge/University line, it's about a 7 minute walk from Dupont Station.

I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are visiting the city and checking out Casa Loma or The Annex.

6 out of 5 STARS. My husband & I went for BRUNCH on a Saturday. First time to the establishment. The food was outstanding, as was the service. Our server CLIO was great. She was helpful, friendly and very patient with us – I had a lot of questions, it being our first time.

I had the BUILD A BENNY and my husband had the HORCHATA FRENCH TOAST. The PORTION SIZE was PERFECT. Our COCKTAILS were also quite delicious. (They do NOT have tomato juice, so sadly – no Bloody Marys. LOL)

I was lucky enough to be one of the FIRST to try the NEW HOLLANDAISE infused with BEETROOT JUICE. It was delcious.

In the end I ended up BUYING a bottle of the IN HOUSE HOT SAUCE – it tasted SUPER FRESH, HERBACIOUS & HOT HOT HOT.

We cannot WAIT to come back to try the DINNER MENU!
We did NOT have a rezo, but I think we were a little lucky – so, going forward, I will make a reservation.

The kuala lumpur beef curry is quite good and loved their house made hot sauce! Service was friendly as well, and the restaurant has a nice vibe. Portions for some dishes were a little on the smaller side but it depends on how much you usually eat, for me it was just enough (which i prefer).

The Quesabirria tacos were soooo good! Crispy spiced shells with pulled smoked beef. The staff was nice and the presentation was very beautiful and colourful.

I had the best time at Chadwicks. The food was fantastic and the service was amazing. The atmosphere was so nice and the staff were so welcoming. I will definitely be returning!

The gluten free fried chicken was honestly one of the highlights of the meal. Perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy inside, and you genuinely couldn’t tell it was gluten free. The brussels sprouts with the maple-style vinaigrette were also surprisingly good and packed with flavor. The atmosphere had a cool eclectic vibe, and both the server and kitchen staff were friendly and accommodating throughout. Definitely a place worth coming back to.

The cod was my personal favorite in terms of flavor - delicious and cooked to perfection - though the portion size of the fish was not balanced with the amount of rice served.

Would be interested in trying out the brunch menu!

The food was good but the portions were very small for the price you are paying. It was not enough to fill me up. It is a cute space and the service was good. My favourite was probably the soup and grilled cheese together! If you are going before catching a show, it is best to have a reservation as it was empty when we arrived and completely full less than 20 minutes later.

Don’t trust the Google maps waiting list, since it’s not live and it made me have to wait 40min to be sit (since I trusted it, unfortunately - but the place was packed) - PS: I tried to make a reservation earlier on, however it was giving me “internal error”. Well, call them, play safe.

Food: everything was either good (fries) or really good (fried chicken, buttered shrimp). The dessert was the only kinda good dish (almond cake), but it was definitely not bad and I would eat again. It wasn’t special, that’s it. PS: they have an amazing spicy sauce (really spicy!).

Drinks: I had a gluten free beer (really good) and two apple ciders (classic flavor, equally good).

Service: really good, very polite and pleasant. My waiter was a blonde guy, great service.

Price: my total bill was CA$ 85,31 (one person, really hungry lol).

Allergies: I’m celiac and the place has proper labels on the menu, plus the waiter gave me a lot of confidence by his knowledge as well.

Nice atmosphere and good quality food! Beef brisket hash was very very tasty! the back patio is very nice and full of shade!

Brunch fantastic. Seasoning on the potatoes was very unique and flavourful. Had the daily special, which was a 🌯. The hot sauce was zingy and zongy and oh so delightful. Will be back for the fried 🐔

I have no idea how I even found this spot. Visiting this neighbourhood for the first time and looking for a place with food, I stumbled across this absolute gem. The interior looks like an old diner and the back patio is super cute. The waitress was a delight. But the food was truly what blew us away. We shared the Caesar salad which was absolutely massive and only $13 and I had their chicken quesadillas which I’m still thinking about three days later. The combination of flavours is just so unique to what I normally get in Canada - there’s definitely a lot of Caribbean and Mexican influence. Would recommend to people in a heartbeat.

However, the dish with wraps needed more wraps, and the brussel sprouts were a bit too charred, dessert was also a bit hit and miss - where the almond sponge cake was good, but the raspberry filled dessert was too sweet/ artificial tasting.

Fried chicken (GF) was out of this world, the outside was so crispy and chicken inside was juicy. I’m not gluten free and I didn’t taste the difference at all. The brussel sprouts can be made gluten free, they did a maple vinaigrette(I think?) instead and it was amazing! Vibe was eclectic and cool. Server and kitchen staff were accommodating and friendly. Will definitely be back
