Lady Marmalade is located at 265 Broadview Ave in Toronto , ON and serves great food and drinks in Toronto
The spinach waffles were ok but not memorable. The small thin paper waffle was a good option to have if you just want something a small desert option but $8 is definitely not worth it. Overall I found it expensive for the quality of food. $40 for one person is too much for this spot. Staff were super friendly and it’s had a nice set up.
Came here for brunch on a Saturday. Waited in line for about 20-30mins. They do not do reservations, so make sure you come earlier and aren’t starving.
The place is small but they have 2 floors. It has a very cute and intimate aesthetic. We were seated on the first floor so I’m not sure if they can accommodate larger groups, but I wouldn’t take that risk.
Once we got seated, the service was very quick. One thing I liked is the menu is the perfect amount of simple but extensive. There’s definitely some unique options on there.
The reason why I have this place 4 stars instead of 5 is two-fold:
1) my partner asked for a larger salad instead of home fries as part of his order and his salad did not look that much larger than mine. It looked like maybe 1 or 2 more pieces of veggies.
2) the home fries weren’t cooked too well, they were way too greasy, almost as if they were overcooked or old.
Aside from that, I wouldn’t mind returning.
I was blown away by this breakfast spot! The selection is incredible, finally, a menu that isn’t overloaded with pork, but still offers so many delicious and creative options. Everything tasted fresh, from the produce to the baked goods, and you can really tell they put care into the quality of their ingredients. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were attentive without being overbearing. It’s rare to find a breakfast place that checks all the boxes, but this one absolutely does. I’ll definitely be coming back again!
Went here for brunch with a friend over the weekend and it turned out to be a really nice surprise. I wasn’t thrilled about the walk-in only policy with no reservations, but I appreciated how the server often came out to check the line and keep things moving. I ordered the Salmon Benny and while the portion looked a little small at first (made me wish I had added something else), the quality more than made up for it. The salmon was beautifully cured, paired perfectly with the soft poached egg and sauce, execution at a level you don’t often see. I’m already thinking of coming back to try the Build Your Own Benny just to see what other combinations could be. Cozy space, friendly service, and a warm vibe made it a perfect start to a sleepy Saturday morning.
Took a close friend here for her birthday brunch and it did not disappoint!
We waited about 40 minutes before we were seated which wasn’t too horrible considering the line was quite long but moved quickly. Clearly a popular place.
The drinks were great, I would highly recommend the cold pressed juice as a nice compliment to your morning latte.
Personally I had the braised beef eggs Benedict and I can’t say enough good things about it.
Service was good, not the most attentive but it was also very busy so I can’t fault them for that.
Loved the brunch and I got a very basic brekky sandwich. Soft bun and all the toppings in it was so good! The place is clean and has a great atmosphere. Went on a Monday and was seated right away. Definitely need to go back to try something else!
Parking on the street. Tables main and upstairs. Bottomless coffee.
Tucked away in a quiet corner of Broadview, Lady Marmalade is a cozy brunch spot known for its delicious food.
We went at just the right time because the moment we stepped out, we saw a lineup starting to form just outside the restaurant.
I ordered their Aperol Spritz to start with followed by their Cochinita Torta (absolutely packed with flavour!) which was a pulled pork sandwich served with house fries (which was very flavourful) and their Classic Breakfast Sandwich, featuring scrambled eggs and avocado on a soft bun, paired with a fresh side salad.
The food definitely lived up to the hype, and the service was just as good. It totally makes sense that there was a line up outside!
I’ve been here a few times and the food is absolutely delicious. Our server was kind and attentive. The only reason I gave it four stars was the entry line system. We checked the website and knew there aren’t reservations on weekends, but what we didn’t know is if your party is more than two people and your entire party is not there, they will not seat you until your entire party has arrived. Keep this in mind if you’re planning to go earlier than others in your party. They will seat others ahead of you, even if you got there first. We went early and ended up waiting outside for about 25-30 minutes. Aside from that, the queue does move along well and wait times don’t seem too bad. The food is well worth it!!!
Absolutely loved the atmosphere! It was light, airy and clean. Esthetically pleasing with their array of hanging plants along the wall.
The staff were welcoming and made sure to check on us during our meal to ensure we were satisfied with our food and that our coffees were topped up.
The food was delicious! Presentation and taste were top notch.
We specifically got the A.M. Hash with sausage. The cheese pull was insane on this one, but the taste did not disappoint! We also got the Morrocan Scramble. The toasted bread to pair with the scrambled mix of Morrocan flavours along with the side salad was perfect!
To complete our brunch, we opted into the bread pudding and absolutely loved it!
Thank you for a great brunch! We will be back. ❤️
The Moroccan scramble is really tasty! Not too heavy, it’s great. We subbed the salad for potatoes and I think that was the right move. The gluten free bread is really good!!
The coffee is super good, and bottomless for $3.50.
The vegan kale Caesar is also delicious.
Some of the potatoes were crispy, but I would have liked them even more crispy.
The service was sooo good. Super kind and very informative.
We had to wait around 20 minutes on a Saturday at 10am.
Lady Marmalade has a great menu, something for everyone including vegans. House cured salmon Benny (and other types) regular breakfasts, light fluffy waffles, delicious. Nice cocktails, coffee and drinks. It doesn’t take reservations so make sure your whole party is there or you won’t be seated. Not a terribly long wait for 6 people. Recommend it highly
Been wanting to go here for some time but the lineups kept us away. Took a chance for breakfast on a weekday and we were able to walk right in. The place was bright and clean. The food and coffee were great. Service was good. All around it was a pleasant experience and we will definitely be back!
I was overcharged $3 for a ham crepe croque made with mix of ham and veg suggested by the server herself. Server didn't offer to fix the billing problem. It is listed as $19 on the menu and there was no verbal disclosure of an upcharge.
I visited on a weekday late lunch. No wait for a table. Tiny flies around the table unfortunately. Individual washrooms beside the tables. Restaurant requires climbing up a flight of stairs.
I would not recommend based on the overcharge and ethics.
I went to Lady Marmalade on December 31 around noon. They told me it wasn't as busy, but all the tables were occupied. I guess they said that because there wasn't a line of people waiting outside. The restaurant is in a beautiful space, close to public transportation. It's a two-level house, and it is more spacious upstairs, where I sat. Even though the tables are close, you don't feel on top of the other guests. The food is delicious and made with quality ingredients. The portions are good, and the dishes are visually appealing; what you get is the same as what you see in the photos. I got the Moroccan Scramble with tofu, and it was amazing! The staff is excellent, attentive and friendly. Even though they were packed, I got my food pretty quickly. I most definitely recommend this spot.
