We had a really good dinner! Beyond the great food, the service was fantastic overall—everyone from the management to the serving staff was sweet and attentive. A special shout-out to our server, Lila P, easy to deal with, and made the whole meal run smoothly.
Three dishes in particular stood out and are definitely worth ordering:
• Tokyo Caesar: This was a nice surprise. A refreshing and flavorful salad that's a good alternative to the standard Caesar.
• Breakfast Fried Rice: A comforting and hearty dish. The crispy fried shallots on top added a great texture that elevated it.
• Banana Pudding: It was the perfect rich, sweet finish to the meal.
We also had the Susie's Hot Chicken Tenders and some drinks, which were perfectly fine. Highly recommend the dishes above, and the excellent staff made the experience even better!

I think I’ve found my new favourite brunch spot in Toronto. I had checked out the menu a few months ago and loved how it blended Asian-inspired dishes with classic brunch favourites. I made a noon reservation on a weekday, and I’m glad I did — the restaurant was already packed when we arrived.

The general manager, Liben, greeted us with such warmth and made us feel so welcome. Since it was our first visit, he even offered us a coveted window seat, which was such a thoughtful touch.

We ordered the General Tso’s Chicken Wings, Jade Garden Salad, Big Trouble Breakfast Sandwich, a side of hash browns, and the Banana Pudding for dessert. We asked for everything to come out as it was ready, but impressively, all the dishes arrived around the same time — and everything was perfect.

The wings stayed crunchy, juicy, and tangy to the last bite. The salad had an amazing mix of textures with the rice puffs and creamy guacamole base. The Big Trouble Breakfast Sandwich was a masterpiece — layers of fluffy eggs, char siu–glazed sausage, and a crispy hash brown, all nestled inside a soft milk scallion bun that was the perfect balance of sweet and savoury. The hash browns themselves were like crispy, golden square fries — seriously addictive.

Finally, the Banana Pudding was rich, creamy, and loaded with banana pieces. My only wish was for a bit more cake inside, though the crumble on top was fantastic.

The service was outstanding — every team member was attentive, friendly, and genuinely seemed to enjoy what they do. Liben also mentioned they recently started dinner service, which I’m already planning to try.

If you’re looking for a creative brunch in Toronto that delivers on flavour, service, and atmosphere, this place deserves to be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be back for both brunch and dinner!

The food is fantastic and offers a wide variety of options, but the most impressive thing about this place is the quality of service. From the management team to the staff, they have a welcoming a fun atmosphere that makes you feel at home.
We got to try their new dinner menu and it did not disappoint. Favourite dishes were the cod, calamari, and wasabi fries. Dessert was also to die for!!
Looking forward to going back for brunch soon! Thanks for the great experience, Susie’s!

I’d definitely recommend reserving ahead — walk-ins were waiting at least an hour and a half when we arrived. I’m so glad we had a reservation because our table was ready almost right away.

The menu is quite limited, but the options they do have are solid. As a vegetarian, I swapped the sausage for avocado (which came with an extra charge). The hash browns were easily my favorite part of the meal — perfectly crispy! I also loved the banana pudding, which was such a nice finish.

Service was great overall, and the experience was smooth from start to finish. I just wish there were a few more vegetarian-friendly choices on the menu — that would definitely bring me back more often. Otherwise, a really nice spot for brunch if you plan ahead!

Unreal food. We tried a bunch of items with a bigger group - Big Trouble Sandwich, Tuna Melt, Shrimp Sando, Pancakes, Buffalo Chicken Wings, Hashbrowns, Caesar Salad, Banana Pudding. Surprisingly our favourite dishes were the Buffalo Chicken Wings - the sauce on this was sooo good, the hashbrowns - so crispy, and the Caesar salad. Banana Pudding is definitely the best in the city. Pancakes were obviously really good as well! Will 100% be back to try the other menu items and dinner!!

Great service, lovely diner vibes. The food has a lot of asian influences and it shines through particularly with the Big Trouble breakfast sandwich. With it's pillowy soft green onion milk bun and savory-sweet char siu glazed sausage patty, this sandwich is well worth the price.

Only caveat is if you're coming for breakfast/brunch, they only have French press coffee available, so don't expect any barista-pulled espresso, but it still does the trick.

Beautiful diner, friendly service, but for the price, it just didn't wow us.

The strawberry pocky milkshake had a nice consistency and a nostalgic flavor.

The hash browns were wonderfully seasoned and perfectly crispy.

The pancakes definitely live up to the hype. We just wish it came as a 3 stack! 7.50 per a pancake is a bit steep.

There wasn't anything particularly special about the shrimp sandwich and the tuna melt. We found the mayo to be a tad overpowering, so we couldn't really taste the tuna. The shrimp sandwich was a bit too salty for our liking.

The breakfast sandwich was the best sandwich out of all. Nice pillowy soft bun with a unique Asian twist. However, it would be nice if each main came with a small side! Whether it be some greens, fruit, or a few potatoes. Yes, most of the dishes are more than okay, but for the price, you're expecting a bit more.

Honestly, the highlight of the meal was probably the banana pudding. This was the best we've had in the city.

Georgia took care of us, and she was great.

I don't think we'll be coming back, but it was definitely worth a try!

It also gets really loud inside the diner! Just a heads-up if you're a bit sensitive to noise.

I came across Susie’s Rise & Dine on TikTok and decided to bring my mum here for her birthday while visiting from out of town. The experience exceeded every expectation.

The pancakes are unlike any other, crispy golden edges with a soft, fluffy center that makes them worth the hype. The steak and eggs were seasoned and cooked perfectly, a real standout dish.

What truly set this place apart was the service. From the servers to the chefs to the managers, everyone worked together seamlessly and made us feel welcome. They even surprised my mum with their famous banana pudding, complete with a candle, which made her day extra special.

Susie’s Rise & Dine is more than a meal, it’s an experience. Warm atmosphere, delicious food, and genuine care from the staff. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a spot that delivers on both flavour and hospitality.

I enjoyed it! Food was piping hot and fresh ingredients. The waiter was very friendly and walked as through the menu and made suggestions. The coffee is your own person French press. The pancakes are a must try. The breakfast sandwich & the chopped cheese were legendary. The receipt comes in a granny coin pouch, very nostalgic and cute touch.

Susie’s Rise & Dine lives up to its fun, modern-diner vibe. The space is cozy, the menu is fun and creative.

• Pigs in blanket: was a little salty for me but the dip itself was very good.

• Smoked salmon avocado toast: a new menu item they’re testing. The butter had a nice citrus infusion (tangerine, I think). But the smoked salmon has strong flavour naturally so it ended up taking over the whole toast, even masking the butter. Overall it leaned a bit bland, and I wish it had more of a kick to balance things out.

• Pancakes: absolutely worth the hype. Still thinking about that nice crispy edges with a soft, fluffy center along with the lemon zest and burnt honey maple syrup.

• Hash browns: crispy, and super snackable.

The service was amazing and genuinely friendly, which made the whole experience even better. The pancakes alone make this spot one I’d happily come back to.

Such a lively, feel-good spot. The staff are super friendly, funny, and look genuinely happy to be there so it feels really welcoming.

The food is pretty simple but done so well - the pancakes and their perfect buttery texture and crispy edges are honestly some of my favourites in the city. They play fun R&B (maybe ever so slightly loud for brunch, but it works with the vibe). And the banana pudding? Wow! Creamy, not too sweet, topped with their homemade biscoff crunch and I’m already wishing I had more! :)

3.5/5. Cute place. Food is on the better side but I wouldn't say incredible. Service is good. Interior is cute but AC is poor. Very tight fit for the tables.

Got the salad, pancakes, shrimp burger, and the I'm Driving mocktail.

Everything is solid but lacking a little something to make it great. Salad could use a bit more tangible of a crunchy element, pancake edges are amazing but centers turn almost to mush instantly upon pouring syrup on it, and the shrimp burger needs something extra to cut the richness of it down, the pickles are not really enough.

Good place, but not somewhere I'd line up for.

This diner was such a gem with the diner vibe and friendly staff. The pancake was so decadent and different we can’t put our finger on why it tastes so familiar. The milkshake is very filling and rich. The tuna melt was so delicious with crunchy chips inside. The breakfast sandwich was also one of their recommended and it was amazing with the soft green onion bun.

Came from NYC. Heard about Susie’s in passing — one of the highlights of Toronto experience.

They take a simple, comforting concept of diner food with a creative Asian twist. The menu stays true to classic diner favorites but steps it up with amazing quality and thoughtful flavors.

The pancakes are an absolute must — fluffy, perfectly cooked, and somehow even better than they look. And don’t miss the banana pudding — it’s creamy and just the right amount of sweet.

The atmosphere is warm and welcoming makes you want to linger. It’s in a fantastic location too, making it a perfect brunch stop when you’re exploring Toronto.

A spot that blends comfort food nostalgia with bold, modern flavors… Susie’s is it. She the best.

Nice decor but food was just mid. I was not disappointed because I didn't have high expectations with this place to begin with. They wanted to do a twist with the diner concept but it didn't work for me. People were waving about the big trouble breakfast sandwich but it was nothing special. They said it's a char siu glazed sausage but I couldn't taste much about the glaze. Breakfast plate again nothing special, there's no protein to go with it if you want you need to add $3 for two tiny sausages. Their pancakes, honestly i don't understand and not appreciate, taste like biscuit/scones without the syrup, maybe they wanted to do it like this style but definitely not soft and fluffy that I was looking for. I think the best item on the menu was their harshbrown, crispy, fresh and hot. Went there on one of the hottest day and unfortunately there's no ac. Overall, it's a chic place but food was just OK.

The BEST diner by far in this city, it really hit the spot for me and was so nostalgia. I had a very wholesome experience with my daughter today for our Mother’s Day brunch, we enjoyed every dish that we ordered. The customer service, food, decor was immaculate. Don’t sleep on the OJ, it was fresh and delicious that I had to get seconds. I will definitely be coming back for more!!! I wish I could share my top 3 favourite dishes I enjoyed, but everything was a hit!!
