Susie's Rise & Dine
Had a really great experience here! The atmosphere was awesome, the restaurant had a great vibe, and our server was friendly, attentive, and checked in on us throughout the meal.
Overall, the food was really good. The only downside was that a couple of dishes were a bit saltier than we personally prefer. The appetizer was unfortunately too salty for us, so we barely touched it. We were completely fine paying for it, but our server noticed and kindly took it off the bill, which was absolutely not necessary but very much appreciated. Great customer service!
The fish fillet sandwich was delicious, and while the udon was also on the saltier side, it was still really flavorful and enjoyable.
Dessert was the highlight for me. The banana pudding was really good, but the cookies were honestly to die for—crispy on the outside, soft in the middle, and so addicting. I haven’t stopped thinking about them!
Overall, I’d definitely come back and would recommend giving this place a try. Great food, great service, and a really welcoming atmosphere.
Like the rays of sunrise captured in flavour, this fluffy two-stack manages to be crisp and soft at the same time. The exterior develops a golden-brown crust with a light crunch and subtle toasty aroma. Beneath that, the interior is exceptionally airy and tender, melting away after a gentle chew. A faint buttermilk tang runs through the pancakes, adding an aromatic depth. Served with a burnt honey maple syrup for a complex, woody and floral sweetness, and opting for the berry compote wasn’t a mistake - pleasantly tart and sweet, made with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. A nostalgic nod to McDonald’s marine menu item, a shrimp patty battered in breadcrumbs lends a modest crisp, punctuated with a distinct sweet shrimp flavour and soft texture. Tartar sauce adds tang and creaminess with melted cheese, with lettuce and pickles to freshen up the soft sesame milk bun with a fluffy rise and golden exterior, reminiscent of Chinese bakery milk bread. The dry-aged beef patty lends a subtle funk and umami depth that gives this cheeseburger a bonus mark above the rest. Each bite is moist and profoundly beefy, while crisp white onions add sweetness without harshness, and American cheese contributes mild nuttiness and savory depth. Next, this is the sandwich I’d like to start my mornings with. Soft, jiggly omelette-style eggs provide a rich umami base that highlights the sausage, glazed in a sweet-savory, char siu-like sauce with pronounced caramelization. The sausage itself is subtly bouncy with a gentle sweetness, complemented by a crispy hash brown patty, cheese, and a scallion-infused milk bun. The sweet, superior, and standout dessert arrives with a luscious, silky pudding that remains light despite its indulgent richness. The banana and vanilla flavours intertwine with ultra-soft sponge, banana slices, pudding and cream - pure bliss on its own. Yet, it is further embellished with a cinnamon biscuit crumble that provides a gentle crunch and a hint of cocoa; I wouldn’t hesitate to order it again.
Susie’s is hard to get a reservation for, for a reason. Some of the best brunch I had. The pancakes are soft yet a little bit crispy with a buttery lemon taste - everything works and balances itself out perfectly.
The in house orange juice is also amazing not too tart and not too sweet.
The eggs, the toast and potatoes were also incredible. Such simple brunch items yet everything is crafted with perfection the flavours are subtle yet impactful.
Truly a really great brunch spot do check it out!

Susie's Rise & Dine was excellent! The pancakes are a must try, just don't expect traditional pancakes. The banana pudding was incredible, the chicken tenders were a hit (even with a picky eater), and the seafood noodles were surprisingly delicious and packed with crab flavor. The filet of shrimp was a bit blander than expected, but the onion rings were an experience on their own. The service was fantastic, though the atmosphere can get quite loud, making conversation a bit difficult. Definitely worth a visit!
Went here for the first time during taste of Italy and was so good had to come back a week later. Staff were super nice and explained the menu and what to recommend. Both times were for the dinner menu, the breakfast fried rice was the star I would come back just for that dish. No complaints and will def be coming back to try some of the other dishes. Highly recommend!

Great retro style diner, with elevated creative menu. There was a line outside waiting for them to open. Some people had reservations. As I’m sure everyone has said before, amazing pancakes. Moist with a crunchy yummy crust. Everything we tried was delicious. We even got an additional order of wings to go so we could have it for lunch on our flight home. Perfect amount of spicy. Delicious French pressed coffee. Can’t wait to go back!
My wife came across this location off social media which didn’t disappoint us one bit. Visiting all the way from Florida, we had an amazing experience. First off, the whole staff were extremely nice. Our waitress (Yonna) was very nice and professional. Even gave us some things to do while in town. The food was amazing! These are probably the best pancakes we have ever had. Also while enjoying food, they were playing all the R&B jams. Such an amazing vibe with good people and good food! Thank you Susie’s Rise & Dine.

Susie’s Diner was AMAZING. The food was so good, the pancakes were definitely my favourite and honestly worth going back for alone. The chicken tenders were also really good (just be warned they come out hot lol). The milkshake was fabulous too.
Our server was so sweet and even told us the story behind the restaurant, which made the whole experience feel really special and cute. The atmosphere is absolutely adorable and has such a cozy vibe.
I would 100% go back, especially for the pancakes and milkshake. Definitely make a reservation if you’re planning to go for breakfast or dinner because it gets busy!

A fun menu to try Asian inspired brunchy items. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and quantity off food. Service was excellent. Our party of five ordered many shareables including sandwiches as well. Plan ahead as resos need to be secured more than two weeks in advance. Standouts were the mapo tofu on corn chips and pancakes served so fresh, hot, crispy and fluffy. Everything was good!

Finally got to try out this spot after so long. I came here on a Friday morning, no wait. My friend had been here before but we wanted to servers to provide recommendations and they did a great job.
We had the filet-o-shrimp and was recommended the tuna melt and pancakes. The filet-o-shrimp tasted like a delish Japanese sando with their twist of changing up the bread and adding the cheese. While the tuna melt had chips inside that balanced out Japanese tartar sauce. Now the pancake, even though it says lemon, it’s not heavy which I really liked. Their pancake was delicious and super crispy on the edges.
I would definitely come back to try the rest of the menu but will always reorder the pancake cause it left me wanting more.

We had a great brunch experience definitely worth the hype (and the line!) with our walk-in.
The food was incredible, fresh, flavourful, and perfectly presented. My favourites were the Big Trouble Breakfast Sandwich and the Tuna Melt. Definitely coming back!

Braved a snow storm this morning and hiked to this amazing place.
Impeccable service, cute vibes and a whole lot of amazing food. Guys, you can feeeel the love and care that goes into each dish.
We tried the pancakes (obviously!) , the big breakfast sandwich and the chicken wings ( underrated but please try it). Everything tasted so good and fresh. Our server ( apologies I couldn’t get her name) was so kind and we had such a good conversation with her. We weren’t rushed and we enjoyed our meal to the core.
They also have a dinner service now and we can’t wait to try that.
Shoutout to the amazing staff at Susie’s ❤️❤️
