Solid home burger and hand cut fries. Gravy is 100. While waiting in line I was thinking it was a little more $ than other takeout grill type places but it was well worth it. Legit sized 8oz burger that sat perfectly in the bun - the toppings and meat didn't start to jet out the side of the bun when you start taking bites making it easy to eat with minimal mess. Fast and friendly at the front counter. To be fair I was extremely hungry after a 12 hour work day but I have to say even so this is one of the best diner grill type burgers I've ever had.
It's a nostalgic burger.
I grew up around Johnny's on Victoria Park, so this reminded me a lot of that. The cheeseburger isn't worth the $9 in my opinion, as you can tell it's just not quality meat. However, it definitely brought me back to my childhood.
Staff were friendly.
Best slice around! Taste of nostalgia. Dough is fantastic, cheese is plentiful. Just really good!
Quite enjoy the souvlaki on a bun as well. Bread always super fresh.
My family likes the MOJO burger. Pictured is the regular patty (my preference)
Service is 100% better than Johnny’s @ VP & Sheppard.
Unfortunately the prices have gotten kinda steep (with the exception of the 🍕) so limit visits now, but every so often the cravings beat out the budget!
Thanks for making the effort to come back/relocate! Much love.
We loved the back story of the Real Mccoy and wanted to try. Cool looking place, and good service. We saw mostly pizza orders, and will be back to try the pizza. For 35$ we got a milk shake 2 huge burgers and a poutine. The poutine serves one uses bird gravy which we love, and was super cheesy. I was so excited for a sesame bun, but the burger fell short of
Of exciting, underwhelming And actually too big. U would rather have a smaller burger with a bang. We will try again perhaps it was a bad day the place got good reviews.
I finally made it to The Real McCoy in Scarborough! They're known for great burgers and more recently, great pizza so my friend and I had to check it out.
We had their BBQ Chicken Pizza, topped with chicken breast, BBQ sauce, fried onions, and bell peppers. It was a pretty good pizza, with the ingredients complementing each other well. I usually prefer a thinner crust but this one was good.
We also had their Mojo Burger, a massive flavour packed 8oz beef patty, topped with bacon and cheese, fully dressed with the works! It was certainly huge and delicious, cooked perfectly! We also had their Onion Rings, Fries, and Gravy. They were good, although I would have preferred a lighter batter on the onion rings.
