Lamanna's Bakery
Neighbourhood bakeshop offering traditional Italian sweets & coffees, plus deli sandwiches.
Lamanna's did not disappoint! I tried the meat lasagna, meat arancini with sauce, veal cutlet with hot peppers, canola, and strawberry cream layered pastry. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful, not too sweet or salty, and really hit tbe spot for classic Italian.
Purchased a small tiramisu to celebrate my driving exam. They have 3 types of tiramisu. The classic one, one with chocolate cake base, and a pistachio version. I got the classic version, which was fine and definitely not the best. I'll try the pistachio tiramisu and maybe food from the hot counter before i make up my mind about this place. It was very busy around 4 pm when i walked in. Seems like they have a lot of regulars.
Lamanna's Bakery is definitely a local favourite and it's easy to see why. The place was packed, with one lineup for the pizza and another for the pastries. I grabbed a pizza slice from the hot food counter, and while the portion was huge, the flavours didn't quite hit the spot for me and the slice was a bit floppy.
I also tried the tiramisu, which was a different take on the classic. It was much creamier than a traditional tiramisu, which I enjoyed, but it was missing that bold espresso flavour I usually look for.
Even though this visit was a bit of a mixed bag, the popularity of the bakery speaks for itself. I'll definitely be back to try more of their pastries and pasta dishes to see what all the hype is about.

I've been coming to Lamanna's Bakery since 2015, and it has been my go-to spot for my sisters' and my birthday cakes. We absolutely love this bakery and everything it has to offer. The cakes are always delicious, beautifully made, and never disappoint. The quality and service have kept us coming back year after year. Highly recommended!!!! :)
Desserts we're good, I loved the Tirimasu as usual and the white chocolate coconut cake slice. Got a white chocolate strawberry cake for my mom's retirement, I think there was way too much sugar, it wasnt balanced. Atmosphere was busy as usual, but I was served properly.
The ultimate Italian deli: everything you can imagine from fresh pizza slices, lasagna and pastas, to fresh pastries, and baked goods. They really have it all here! I came to grab a slice of pizza for lunch with one of my buddies because he said it was really good, and it really was! I had a cheese slice and a sun-dried tomato pepperoni slice, both were really good. Both had good flavours and a perfectly soft dough. The cheese was super fresh and really stretchy. The pricing was also really good. It was $6.5 for a slice (cut into 2) and it’s a huge portion. Staff was friendly, quick and efficient. They got pretty busy after we walked in, so you might wait some time. Luckily, we only waited about 5 minutes from start to finish. Indoor seating is limited, we were lucky to sit at the counter near a window, but if you’re a big group, it might be hard to find seating.
If you’re looking for a quality pizza slice in Scarborough or some fresh homemade authentic Italian food - this place will definitely hit the spot.
Highly recommend!

1st time. Very busy bakery. Hot table had great selection. I had a veal sandwich, my son the porchetta sandwich and 3 helpings of lasagna. The servings are huge. Also ordered a pizza for a birthday boy. If you never been, gotta try. You wont leave hungry

Loved loved loved the pizza at this place. One of the best pizzas I've ever had! Seriously. I had a pizza with oil cured olives and asparagus that was fantastic.
Take note there is only 1 table to sit at, and you'll have to share it. Or take out, which is what most seem to do. The counter service is very busy, and lines can be out the door on weekends. But they keep things moving.
There is a coming soon sign next door, looks like they are planning to open a dining room next door.
The gelato was also very good, with unusual flavors (Biscoff, Nutella, etc).

Lamanna’s Bakery at Port Union & Sheppard is incredible!
Their pizza is always fresh and tastes amazing, truly some of the best in the area. The bakery selection is huge, with so many delicious baked goods to choose from that it’s hard to pick just one. We also ordered a buttercream cake for my son’s birthday, and it was perfect! Beautifully made and absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this location for great food, great service, and great quality every time.

Service 3/10 (ladies at pastry/dessert section were rude), if they chose to display all items without description and price at least train your staff to do better!
Pizza 9/10
Lobster Tail 6/10 (crunchy but not flaky)
Pistachio Tiramisu, chocolate eclair 7/10
Banana Pie 6/10 (minimal banana flavor, tart shell also underwhelming)

I'm a local that lives down on Sheppard been here before but never had the time to review the place. Had the Pizza and Lasagna here before; the staff are friendly and the food is great. I was there earlier in the week, to pick a cake for my birthday and I decided to get the Strawberry Sfoglia (shortcake but with just sponge and no pastry) and a few mini cheesecakes. Nice visual appeal, not too sweet, very rich, well balanced and tasty. Will definitely stop in again for eats in the future. 👍🏾

1st time at Lamanna Bakery. We bought the Margherita pizza the size of Canada, barely fit thru the door. We also got some lasagna, arancini's, pastries. Very good quality food from a respected Italian bakery. And if you're on date, the food is date safe. No problems fooling around after, niente scoreggia ! You'll feel like a champ eating at Lamanna !
10/10 quality. Si mangia bene al Lamanna !
