Came by for dinner on a Friday night around 8pm. We waiting roughly 35 minutes for a table of 2.

I’ve heard their burgers get recommended a lot so we tried that, the NY steak and the fries.

Burger was delicious and definitely up there in ranking within the city. It was juicy and a nice change from the smash craze. It felt a bit small for the price but the quality is up there.

The steak had a nice outer crust, it was cooked a bit pass the medium rare we requested but was alright.

The fries were ok, there was some hype online but they seemed regular to me.

The server recommended a lemon dessert as they ran out of the original dessert we wanted, it was decent as well.

The restaurant had a cute small vibe with a wall of drawings from kids etc.

The food was wonderful. Paige’s service was excellent. Love that it’s walk-ins only; took under 20 minutes for a party of 3. Will be back to try more of the menu.

Had a great experience. Everything we ate was super tasty. Chef’s choices, all impeccably executed. Certainly the best Caesar salad in the city and tonight’s Pickerel was perfection. The entire vibe combined creates an unquestionable great night out.

The food was amazing! The menu is quite small, which makes it easy to order. They also have rotating specials that keep things fresh and interesting. Their ice cream is a real treat—I tried the mango flavor, and it didn’t disappoint.

My only complaint is that we were seated inside and the AC was off. It got pretty warm with so many people around.

Everything was really flavourful, steak had a pretty good cook but was the only thing that wasn’t great. Had a tuna tonnato dish (not pictured) that was the standouts along with the cooked fish main.

The spritz Ginny was had a strong grapefruit element

I’ve been here four (actually many more) times, and loved it each time. Dotty’s is consistently good. A beautiful simple no-nonsense meal with quality ingredients and prepared with care. Prices are very fair and service is wonderful! A great neighbourhood gem. Highly recommend the squid, so good I ordered two! The aged steak is always so perfectly cooked and full of flavour, pickerel beautiful, Thai pork belly was meltingly sticky and tender, new wedge salad gorgeous! Run, don’t walk to Dotty’s… go early if you want a table! And I forgot, the soft serve is a must order if you have room, big enough for sharing and a deal at $10. Thank you Dotty’s for another wonderful evening!
Update: four months later and we’ve been coming back with family and friends. Menu sometimes changes slightly but always consistent and deliciously good. Came to try the cheeseburger but didn’t get a photo as we all inhaled it. It’s incredible! Juicy, tender, full of flavour. We love Dotty’s! Thank you chef Jay and team!
Updated June 13/24: Always fun spurr-of-the-moment place for dinner. Always nice to be greeted by same staff and owners. Our family’s favourite because it feels like home, and food again just simple but good! Fish always amazing with veg, thanks again Jay and team for a fun evening.
Updated July 9/24: delicious pickerel with fennel, dessert is mango softserve with raspberry sauce, and light-as-air, no-bake cheesecake with blueberry sauce. Omg soooo good! Thanks again for a wonderful dinner!

I Gamble everyday and go to alot of little places like this. This location has awesome staff the girls name was Janea
She was such a nice girl from the moment I arrived she had a smile on her face and made sure my drink was full ect. You can tell she likes her job cuz she went out of her way to help me.

Reasonably priced for Toronto with stellar food and cocktails. Unfortunately the fries are not consistent from visit to visit. Service is always a bit too casual and not detail-oriented. The best cheeseburger, steak, Caesar salad, spicy chicken sandwich, and much more!

This location Keno monitor screen is so bad for anyone who enjoy Keno game(it faded in color as well as blurry and dark screen) I hope the owner/manager make a quick change by remove old one and replace new Keno Monitor ASAP(unless they DO NOT CARE about the customer who came in and play Keno!)

I have never complained about any experience that I've had at a store, restaurant, or convenience store. But this lady that was there one night treated me and my sister terrible from the moment we walked into the door. We went in to use the restroom and the older lady that was sitting down stated with attitude we had to pay for something so my sister continued to comply with her and bought 4 scratch tickets. She ID her but not me cause I was not buying them. She gives my friend the key to the restroom says she can have her ID back when she gets the bathroom Key back. She also says there is a five minute limit and we can't go together we say okay then she asks to see my ID to use the restroom after I've already been in there for 10 minutes. I told her I didn't have my purse with my cause I didn't she says "I don't care about your purse I need your ID" I said well I don't have it it is in my purse. She continues to ask us to leave but we were already in the bathroom having this conversation with her with the door open. We told her had we known that we wouldn't be able to go to the restroom we wouldn't have bought anything. She calls the cops while we were in the restroom and is making snarky remarks to my sister while we wait for the cop to come such as "ya call your mommy and tell her what happened". The cop comes gives my sister her ID back and the cop continues to tell the Karen with a bull cut and grey hair that's obese that was working there that night that keeping her ID without reason is forbidden. The overall experience I've had at this was was absolutely terrible, I really hope there's some action on this because no one else deserves to get treated the way me and my sister did that night.

I saw this place while shopping at Winco Foods in the San Rafel Shopping Center. So I went in to play a little video poker and have a beer.

It is a smallish place with a few tables in the front area across from the counter where you can order beer, drinks, and cigarettes. Most of the people coming in do so to play video poker.

It's alright. but I would rather spend my time next door at Paddy's Old Irsih Cafe.
