Hey Old School,
You have my attention!
A friend and I were checking out some local Restaurants in the area and remembered one of my favorite spots. Old School!
Having Lundh today, John Showed me a picture of The 6oz Australian Wagyu Sirloin makes my mouth water. Looks Delicious! I am coming back for that one!

John, who seems to be always here, greets me and my friend with that great big infectious smile. Totally makes you feel welcomed. You should feature him on the website lol Seriously, always warm and attentive to every detail during time in the Restaurant. Knowledgeable too, I knew he would be able to pick the perfect appetizer and pair the best wine with the entre.
Old School is not a nut-free establishment. Yes I am nuts for Great Food and an Amazing deal in a spot that feels like home. lol
I love it all

Great all-day breakfast spot on Dundas between Trinity Bellwoods and Kensington Market. The Blueberry Hill pancakes 🥞 were amazing and definitely the highlight of the meal! The service was excellent, especially considering we had a large group. Everyone also loved the breakfast potatoes. A great spot for a casual brunch with friends!

Overpriced and zero care in packaging. Not a driver issue.

Are we doing ok? Please don't take it out on the food if you are having a bad day. While the food tasted fine, it arrived via delivery in a completely disheveled, unappetizing state. This was purely a restaurant packaging issue, not the Uber driver's fault.

The avocado toast (Abbacado) was flipped right on its face, looking as if the assembled plate was just dumped upside down into the takeout box. The Eggs Benedict (Eggs Benny & the Jets) was an absolute mess; one of the poached eggs was buried underneath the potatoes and already split open. It felt like the entire order was tossed into the containers without any care.

To top it off, charging $8.50 for a half-cup of banana pudding is outrageous, especially when it was completely soupy instead of thick and creamy. Either it melted or the kitchen didn't let it set properly.

The flavors are there, but the total lack of care in preparation and packaging ruined what should have been a great meal. I hope management addresses how food is packed for transit.

I've been here for drinks before. Summerlicious dinner was the bomb! Fantastic friendly service!!! Great fresh food! The steak was cooked to perfection. The chicken sandwich was full of flavour! Great deserts as well... my strawberry cream was light but the cake was dry. The banana dessert was scrumptious! The brownie dense and sweet! Well definitely come again!!!

I recently visited Old School for breakfast and had their Signature Blueberry Hill Pancakes along with a cappuccino. The experience was excellent from start to finish.

The pancakes were incredibly soft, fluffy, and full of flavor. The blueberries tasted fresh and complemented the pancakes perfectly, making the dish both satisfying and memorable. The cappuccino was well-prepared and paired nicely with the meal.

The indoor ambiance was warm, balanced, and relaxing—perfect for a pleasant morning breakfast. The staff were courteous, professional, and attentive, providing friendly service throughout my visit.

Overall, Old School delivered a wonderful breakfast experience with great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a quality breakfast spot.

LOVE, LOVE THIS PLACE! Went to watch a World Cup game, and had dinner and drinks. Everything is absolutely fabulous - food, atmosphere, service, selection, value. We especially loved John - he made our experience so wonderful. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed our experience here. The food was very yummy and would highly recommend. Service was aight, they were very busy and we understood why the service was the way it was, and we were fine with it. Patio was a whole vibe within itself!

This was our second time here and it was just as excellent as the first time. We tried the prime rib sandwich, eggs benedict, and chicken and waffles. All great choices. The Biscoff hot chocolate was also a fun treat! Nice service and good in the cold winter as they have heaters around the enclosed outdoor seating area.

Great service! Dropped in first thing on Tuesday morning for a weekday brunch with a friend that flew in from Victoria. Our waiter was very attentive and charming. Had the place to ourselves for a bit which was really nice.

Having brunch at The Old School was an absolutely delicious experience. Everything felt fresh and well-prepared—the pancakes came out perfectly warm and soft, the milkshake was rich and flavorful, and the coffee was fresh and satisfying.

The atmosphere is another highlight. It’s the perfect spot to sit down, have a good conversation, and truly enjoy a relaxed brunch. It’s not overly noisy, which makes a big difference when you want to unwind and enjoy your time.

The service was excellent as well. Although I don’t remember the server’s name, he was Latino and provided a very friendly and attentive experience that made everything even more enjoyable.

It’s also worth mentioning that the location is very convenient, and the prices are quite reasonable for the quality you get. It’s one of those places where you can have a great brunch or meal without feeling like you overspent.

Overall, everything was excellent. I would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great brunch spot.

Beautiful ambience with retro vibes! Great spot to start your day. We ordered General's fried chicken, Benny & the Jets.. Both were delectable. Bottomless Drip coffee, always! Thanks John for smooth service.

One of my favourite brunch places in the city. You can never go wrong with the blueberry pancakes, they are a staple, and something you have to order for the table as a shareable, if not your own meal.

Not on their menu, but they make a really fantastic hot chocolate.

The service is always great, and the food always comes out delicious and generously portioned.

Something interesting that old school has done this winter is they’ve turned their usual outdoor patio into an all seasoned patio with heaters and blankets. It’s a really smart way to make use of their space and maximize the amount of people they can serve at one time. We did go on an extremely cold day, and because we didn’t have reservations we sat in this covered space. The heaters make all the difference, but it was still cold. Nothing the restaurant can do about that, they were transparent and said we could sit at the bar, but we chose a table. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in here, and if the other diners in this section are noisy it can be tough to hear the people you are with. Just flagging if you are looking for a quiet spot, I would make sure you make a reservation to get a table inside.
