This has to be the worst brunch experience I've had downtown. The noise level was unbearable, making conversation impossible. Despite heavy rain and some of us arriving late, even when tables were available, the staff kept pressing us to leave.
The pancakes were the driest I've ever tasted. In one dish—Habibi Effect—we found a hair in an egg. The waitress initially promised to replace it, but what we received was the same plate with only the egg swapped. When we asked for clarification, she simply offered to take the dish away without an apology. The Eggs Benedict were just okay, but honestly, there are much better brunch spots in downtown. Save yourself the trouble and some money—this place isn't worth it.

The Morning After was the exact situation we found ourselves in, when we went to The Morning After. Small place with a great vibe. They had a dj playing which suited the place.

Drinks are generously poured and the food was hot, fast and tasty.

I had the Werkage with a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg. I'd recommend asking for the hot sauce if you like things spicy as its hotter than normal hot sauces restaurants serve.

The spicy ceaser was great too.

If you're looking for somewhere to quietly recover from the night before, don't go here.

If you're looking for a funky space with good live DJ action and food to enjoy and fill your stomach and the hair of the dog that bit you from the previous night, then I'd highly recommend this place.

Cute cozy spot with both indoor and outdoor seating. They have a DJ, a bar, and really good breakfast options. The vibe is lively yet relaxing, and the staff were super friendly. There’s no dedicated parking, but paid parking is available nearby. We got seated within 15 minutes even without a reservation, which was great. Overall, a nice place to hang out and start the day!

I stopped into The Morning After yesterday while in Toronto for a work event, grabbing breakfast with a buddy. We were the only guests when we arrived, and the staff mentioned they had a large party coming in an hour. At first, it felt like they were a bit rushed and not as warm as we expected, which set the tone a little off.
That said, our waitress completely turned things around. She checked in often, was friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. By the time our food arrived, the experience felt much better.
I ordered the strawberry special pancakes, loaded with fresh strawberries, and they were really good—fluffy, sweet, and not overdone. My buddy had the French toast, which he enjoyed, and we both added a side of bacon. The fresh‑squeezed orange juice was a standout for me.
Overall, despite a slightly awkward start, the service recovered nicely and the food was genuinely enjoyable. With the photos and video I took, I think it’ll show that The Morning After is worth a visit—especially when they’re not gearing up for a big group.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Morning After – Toronto, Canada

Stopped into The Morning After for breakfast before a conference, and it ended up being a nice start to the day. We ordered the French toast with bacon and eggs, plus the strawberry pancakes, and everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. The portions were solid and the presentation was on point.

Our server was amazing — friendly, attentive, and on top of everything even with a large party scheduled to arrive. They gave us a heads‑up that it was about to get crowded and moved us to the bar so we could enjoy our meal without the rush. Smart move and great hospitality. We even played a fun game with our server that landed her a $50 tip.

The cappuccinos were really good too, and the whole place had that “open for business and ready to roll” energy that you want in a morning spot. Clean, upbeat, and efficient.

Overall, a great breakfast experience and a spot I’d definitely return to when I’m back in Toronto.

Great place for brunch after a long night. Delicious food and large portions. Very filling.
Staff was very friendly. Coffee was the best I've had in some time.

Obsessed! Obsessed is the right word to use for this place! Drinks were on point, food was AMAZING, and service was great! The decor was so nice and vibrant! Everyone kept checking in on us, and I just felt so taken care of. Being a server myself, it was so nice to be looked after for a change, and they looked like they genuinely cared for us! My favorite thing about it all was the music, for sure. I love a brunch place that isn't afraid to play nice dancing music at 11 AM. The only downside (which isn't really a big deal) was that our time was up, and they needed our table after 2 hours (which is pretty normal since they're very busy, which is a very good sign). Thank you so much, and see you guys real soon! ♥️✨️ Thank you so much for the experience; see you guys soon!

Our brunch yesterday at The Morning After was a fantastic experience. The crew here are doing a FANTASTIC job with everything. From starting with two lattes that were full of flavour, into a couple benedicts and a sweet treat at the end, everything was spot on. The "Wake and Steak" benedict was cooked to a perfect medium rare, the flavour balanced with caramelized onions and brie & gruyere cheeses perfectly. Nothing was overstated nor overwhelming & based on how well I felt after, quality oils were used. The poached eggs were cooked to absolute perfection, which isn't always the case. This was a one meal day for us.... we each had a Benedict and that held us for the day. We also shared a sweet treat of a couple pieces of fried French toast which left us speechless!
The Morning After will be a regular stop whenever we are in the city & highly recommended!

Where do I even start! Best breakfast experience ever. Very cool and comfy atmosphere. Fun music with live Dj. All staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. And the food was so so good. Between four of us we had ‘I’m toast, gotta get the ricotta, too much smoke and the Guilty conscience. Everything was outstanding: potato’s were delicious, side salads were unexpectedly very tasty.
Also a big fan of the plate ware!

Will definately be back next time we’re in Toronto!

I really wanted to be able to give this place more stars. The food was amazing. The best chicken and waffles I’ve ever eaten. The decor is done up nicely as well and is very chic. It looks like a place you would bring your mother or sisters for brunch. It is not. Do not bring your mother and especially don’t bring your grandmother here. I’ve read reviews that the music here is loud. It is however that’s not what bugged me. The music was completely inappropriate for a restaurant at 9 in the morning. Every second word in the music was either an fbomb or the n word. And some of it was sexually explicit. Completely inappropriate. Service was quick and had I not already put my order in my husband and I would have got up and left. This place could be awesome but the cringeworthy derogatory music makes it so that I can never recommend it to anybody I know. I’m giving it 3 stars based on that the food was good and service was quick

What a treat in downtown Toronto. Small and casual. Patio space - would be great in the summer. Nicely laid out and decorated nicely. The had a DJ spinning some dance tunes. A little loud. We were a party of 5 - once seated - we were seated - we were told that we had 1 hour and no separate bills. Which I appreciate - being in the business. One small thing - I forgot that the gratuity was added already and the server should take the guest to the end spot and not to the gratuity spot again. So she got a double tip. The minosas looked good and looks like they have lots of flavors. We ordered steak and eggs benny - steak cooked great - with added savory potatoes and a little salad. The other items all looked amazing and the group enjoyed everything. Pricing is a little pricey - but you're in Toronto. Server Amna did a great job - except the tip thing. - They brought out little shots for the whole restaurants and the DJ played Shot Shot Shot to liven the mood. Would recommend
