Paddington's Pump
Best Peameal Bacon in Toronto. Paddington's ALL DAY BREAKFAST includes French toast and pancakes, alongside the requisite egg dishes, bacon, and sausage. Steak and eggs remains a classic favourite around the clock, and chicken fingers and chicken wings are on the lunch and dinner menu. Burgers, tuna melts and salads are also on the menu throughout the day, while the most famous sandwich remains the Oink on a Kaiser, served on a toasted bun. Our licensed patio is open in the warm months with great views of the CN Tower.
Wonderful! We wanted to try this place for the peameal sandwich and poutine. So pleased we did! We visited at lunch time, and although very busy, we found a table. Very cosy with quick, friendly service. We really enjoyed the food, and also ordered pancakes; they were so light and fluffy. Potions sizes are generous and reasonably priced. Highly recommended for great food in authentic surroundings.
A great spot with room to improve on busy mornings
Iāve visited Peddingtonās Pump twice for breakfast. The first time was amazing ā delicious food, excellent service, and a welcoming atmosphere that made me want to come back. So I did! On my second visit, a busy Sunday morning, the place was crowded, which was understandable. However, when we asked about the wait and queue, the initial staff response was rather blunt and unwelcoming: āWe donāt have a table and donāt know when one will be available.ā That could definitely be handled more gracefully. Fortunately, another staff member stepped in with warmth and quickly found us a table. The breakfast itself was pretty good and the vibes were lively and enjoyable. Despite anything, I would highly recommend this place for breakfast but donāt expect an easy table on weekends š
We were visiting Toronto from Texas and found this spot at the St. Lawrence market. Felt authenticity Canadian. Staff were extremely friendly and down to earth. Got to chat with the owner at the bar and you could tell this place is his baby. Food was tasty and the house lager hit the spot. Highly recommend!
I had the chocolate chip pancakes, toast and a strawberry lemonade. The food was good. However, a couple of negatives. The maple syrup comes in a flimsy plastic pot which isn't easy to pour. It squashed as I poured which made me drop it. My fault I guess but the waitress didn't clean it up so I had to be careful where I put my feet otherwise I'd be covered. Then, the service was really slow for the food, for getting the bill and for paying the bill. I tipped well as I felt bad that I'd spilt syrup but in reality I don't think the service warranted a tip.
I think this place relies on its name, one famous dish and its busy location but it could definitely do better.
Never really bought the hype on st Lawrence market but I tried it again. Peameal on a bun was good, got all the fixings (egg, mustard, peppers, marmalade, cheese). One half was better than the other, and good bang for your buck ($10) and pretty filling. Nothing mind blowing but def a good āToronto classicā that I can see people craving and coming back for
I really enjoyed dining at Paddington's pump. The place felt authentic and had a feel of the old times in Canada. The people working there were genuine and passionate. The food's portioning was great and tasty. I will definitely go back. ššø
Went here for breakfast š³ ques outside but didn't take longer than about 10 minutes to get seated and staff kept us updated all the time on wait times. Customer service was great and the food is brilliant. Large portions of quality food. Highly recommend and would definitely go back

I do think you should try this when you go to Saint Lawrence market.
Paddingtonās Home of the Oink is a great spot for a hearty meal. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the food was tasty and well prepared. The portions are generous for the price, which makes it a good value.
The only downside for me was that the back bacon was a bit on the salty side, but overall, it was still an enjoyable meal. If youāre looking for a classic breakfast or a satisfying bite in the area, itās definitely worth a visit.
If you donāt like salt, try something else other than the back bacon sandwich. āŗļø
Great Sandwiches freshly made, I had the Peameal and my travel companion had the Roast Beef Dip.
The Peameal with Swiss was great, packed with bacon, some places in the UK a bacon sandwich is one rasher, this was stuffed. The fries were great really crisp and great taste.
The Dip was great, the jus was so peppery, really lifted the sandwich.
Had one of their own lagers that was good.
We came here for a Saturday breakfast. Good bacon sandwiches and poutine. Caesar was good. We had an issue with one of our items and the server kindly apologized and removed the item from our bill. Other than that, the experience was great. This is one of our go-to spots at the market when we visit.
We had breakfast here when visiting St Lawrence Market. Itās the only seated restaurant in the market but we didnāt want to just grab takeaway and then try to find somewhere to sit and eat it. We were seated immediately by a very friendly server. Our order was taken quickly, hot drinks came almost immediately and our food wasnāt far behind. Good food and highly recommended.
