Every employee touching/ preparing food ,touching face hair and with no gloves
Waitress and manager/owner are extremely rude

Lots of great food in the area. This place isn’t one of them

We had breakfast at Paddington's Pump in St. Lawrence Market and overall, I'd still come back for the food.

The place was quite busy, so we ended up sitting at the bar. Since it's a working station, there was quite a bit going on around us. Water would occasionally splash into my space, and there was a bucket with cleaning cloths and Lysol spray sitting beside me. At one point, a staff member sprayed one of the cloths and some of the mist landed on my leg. It didn't bother me much at the time, but these are little things that could easily be prevented to make the dining experience more comfortable.

The washroom was clean, which I always appreciate, although the door doesn't open all the way, so you have to squeeze yourself in.

As for the food, I ordered the French toast with bacon and maple syrup. I'm usually not a fan of maple syrup, but theirs was surprisingly delicious and tied the whole meal together. I also had a mimosa. I think it may have been made with fresh orange juice (though I'm not certain), and it was refreshing and enjoyable.

The restaurant itself has a cozy, old-school diner feel that adds to the experience. One thing I'd recommend, though, is sitting inside if you can. The outdoor seating is right by an area that unfortunately smelled strongly of urine, and it wasn't the most pleasant atmosphere for a meal.

Overall, despite a few preventable issues with where we were seated, the food was genuinely good, the restaurant has plenty of charm, and I'd definitely come back.

This place was hopping, a sign that I shouldn't pass it up. I tried the famous pea bacon sandwich. Mind you I am a picky eater but had read about this sandwich and watching everyone order it, it looked amazing. It definitely didn't disappoint. The combination of flavors with the hot and sweet toppings(get the orange marmalade!) can't be beat. I also got a butter tart which was yummy. Would highly recommend, there whole menu made it hard to decide.

Came here on a Sunday morning for breakfast, had the breakfast rolls which were of high quality. It is more than the food though, the place has the hustle and bustle of a brilliant cafe, the service is both speedy in how quick everyone is working and yet the perfect pace for a relaxed Sunday morning brekkie. Honestly come and visit the market which is superb but eat at Paddington’s to make it an event.

What a gem of a cafe this is! Based just inside St Lawrence market, with outdoor seating as well, this lovely cafe offers so much wonderful choice for breakfasts & lunches alike - everything we saw looked wonderful & what we had was super tasty. Oh did I mention price? THIS PLACE IS VERY WELL PRICED!! Whenever we stop over in Toronto this is our "must-do" for breakfast.

Tried this place today for the first time with friends. The patio on a Saturday morning made it so perfect. Ordered the Eggs Benedict with peameal which was sooooo good. Coffee was meh. Our server Aeden (?) was both attentive and hilarious - loved him.

We had a quick lunch at Paddington Pump in Market St, Toronto today. The food was super and our server Kat was awesome. Quick, efficient, friendly, and funny. And watching her kick out people who had the effrontery to bring in their own food and sit down at a RESTAURANT table was a great free cabaret.

Delicious and freshly made sandwich! Definitely worth a try to get the peameal with all the fixing. It is also big enough to share. Picnic tables outside to sit and eat. Friendly and fast service. Could be a bit more organization on the pickup.

This place gives "Cheers" that show vibes. Staff was very friendly and food was absolutely delicious! Not a local but definitely coming back. Also the owners are greek I believe and as a Greek woman I absolutely love to support. 💗

Was seated by the hostess, waited for over 25 minutes, saw several other people who were sat after me get service and finally just got up and left as I received no service. Waitresses were avoiding eye contact with me and it wasn’t packed.

Quaint busy place, right in the St Lawrence Market. Delicious food, and all day breakfast. My blt sandwich was thick with juicy tomato slices and plenty of bacon!
French Connection breakfast was also a big hit with our party.

Having walked close to an hour to get to St Lawrence Market and then a walk around we wanted somewhere to sit down to eat and drink. We found Paddingtons and were not disappointed. The food was great, as were the staff. I would definitely recommend if you are at the market.

A market classic. Some things hopefully never change. Superb breakfast sandwiches. Nothing fancy, but delicious. An old school market tradition - well made, hot, filling, and a decadent treat at one of Toronto’s best spots.
