Had such a great dining experience at 156 OneFiveSix! ✨ My favourite was definitely the beef — incredibly tender, juicy, and literally melts in your mouth. The sides and accompaniments were also really interesting and added some unique flavours and textures that I didn’t expect, but really enjoyed.

Everything was beautifully presented, and I loved how each dish had its own creative twist. The drinks were okay, and the overall atmosphere felt intimate and elevated without being too formal. Definitely a spot I’d recommend for a nice dinner or date night in Toronto! 🤍

Came here to celebrate my girlfriend’s birthday.

I reached out to the restaurant directly to ask if I would be able to drop off a cake on the day before our reservation, outside of their regular business hours, to which they gladly accepted. They were very helpful and easy to communicate with and made the whole process and birthday cake surprise flawless.

There was a birthday greeting card (signed by the team) already on the table when we arrived, which was a very nice gesture.

Food, drinks, and service were all fantastic. Service was very prompt and detailed. Coursing was managed well as it left little to no gaps in our dinner experience; this is often an area of service where a lot of places aren’t particularly strong at, but it speaks to the ability of the team as a whole. Our entire dinner from start to finish progressed at a very nice pace and everything was seamless.

I was impressed from my last visit when 156 was still in Yorkville, and I’ve been recommending it to people since. My high expectations for this visit were easily surpassed and I am very glad that I came back. Safe to say that I will definitely be back as this is now one of my favourite restaurants in the city.

The grilled meat was delicious, and the other dishes were also flavorful and enjoyable. The food was impressive overall.
The space is a bit small and the tables are quite close together, but the service was good and friendly. They also offer a Polaroid photo for your birthday if you’re celebrating a special occasion, which was a nice touch.
Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back again if we have the chance.

I went with a group of friends and we all thought the food was exceptional. We were able to try most of the menu with the amount of people we went and we were all pleasantly surprised as we tasted each dish.

Their most standout dishes were their ssam platters. The meat was just so flavourful and tender. I will go back just to eat the 48 Hour Slow-Cooked Kalbi Short Rib 💖.

One of the BEST restaurants in Toronto

We had the most incredible experience at OneFiveSix last night celebrating two birthdays! From start to finish, everything was beyond excellent.

The service truly stood out. Our server (sorry I forgot her name) overheard that we were celebrating 2 birthdays and went above and beyond to make the night feel special. We were gifted a hand written birthday card from the restaurant and polaroid photo of our group! They were so attentive, thoughtful, and generous with our group, which made the whole evening even more memorable.

Every dish we tried was amazing. The potato pancake was perfectly crisp with a flavourful medley of seafood on top, the sujebi was comforting and flavorful, and the mushroom jook was rich and satisfying. The Spanish mackerel was cooked beautifully, and the three different platters of steak we ordered were all so tender, outstanding and full of unique flavors complimented with the side dishes.

To top it all off, the plum extract at the end of the meal was such a delicious and refreshing finish.

Highly recommend OneFiveSix, we’ll definitely be back!
