Absolutely incredible experience at Bar Ardo! One of my favourite Italian dining experiences in Toronto. 🇮🇹
The lobster pasta was the standout — house-made egg fettuccine with fresh East Coast lobster in a rich 24-hour lobster reduction. Beautifully balanced and easily a dish I would come back for.
We also loved the Pollo al Carbone, which was incredibly tender with the perfect charcoal flavour, and the fish of the day, which was delicate, fresh and cooked beautifully. The sourdough Sicilian pizza was another highlight — light, airy and perfectly crisp with incredible flavour.
Even the smaller dishes impressed us. The confit artichoke with capers, breadcrumbs, mint and Sicilian pecorino was fantastic, and the seasonal berry tart was the perfect ending.
The cocktails are just as impressive as the food, and the atmosphere feels intimate, stylish and distinctly European.
You can really feel the passion for Sicilian cuisine in every detail. Bar Ardo is such a special gem in Toronto and absolutely worth visiting. I can’t wait to return! 🤍
Bar Ardo is a total must if you love incredible pasta. The seafood tagliatelle is a standout—loaded with fresh lobster, shrimp, cherry tomatoes, and peas in a really bright, flavorful broth. If you want something richer, the rigatoni with the slow-cooked meat ragu and shaved cheese is pure comfort food. Definitely save room for dessert, too; their take on tiramisu, topped with cocoa powder and crunchy chocolate bits, is the perfect way to wrap up the meal. Simple, fresh, and just so good.
Bar Ardo is honestly perfect for a low-key but elevated date night. We ordered the roasted chicken, which was super juicy and came in a rich, savory jus, and the pan-seared fish with that bright green herb sauce was a total standout. Even the side salad with the heirloom tomatoes tasted incredibly fresh. Pair it all with one of their crisp, well-crafted meal served by the chef and owner Roberto 🧑🍳
Bar Ardo is one of those places I’d go back to without even thinking twice. The vibe is warm, stylish, and elevated, but still feels relaxed and easy, which I really appreciate.
Everything I tried felt thoughtful and well executed, from the small plates to the burger and pastas, and the cocktails were just as good. It’s the kind of spot where you can settle in, enjoy your time, and never feel rushed.
Overall, it’s a really solid go-to for a great night out and definitely somewhere I’ll be back to.
We ate and ate for lunch and I didnt need dinner!
We tried a bit of everything but its the burger that I would recommend for sure ❤️.
......
Chickpea fritter was crispy, addictive, and kind of reminds me of samosa skin but even lighter.
The salad was..well salad haha. Im more of an meat eater but the sauce that comes drizzled on is nice and creamy.
I cannot review the octopus objectively because i personally don't appreciate seafood especially when its still whole 😅, but my table mates said it was delicious. The sauce was nice. To me the octopus tasted... nicely grilled? Like if someone had grilled sausage.
Now the pizza...THAT was amazing. That cheese on top was so creamy and nom nom nom. I would have eaten it all but we were sharing it ahaha.
But the burger. OMG. Im not sure my photo truly captured the sheer size of this behemoth. This isnt a smash burger. It's like a giant piece of delicious meat cooked to perfection. And complemented by home-made fries with this lemon mayo dip 🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤. It was magical combination.
Now i just need to come back and try their dessert!
