Takoyaki6ix is located at 160 Baldwin St #5 in Toronto , ON and serves great food and drinks in Toronto
This is a tiny food spot offering authentic Japanese street foods like takoyaki, karaage, onigiri, etc. There's a couple of tables indoor/outdoor for people who want to dine in.
I'm so particular with my takoyaki. I want it to be super crispy on the outside and pillowy soft on the inside.
And this is exactly the kind of takoyaki you will find here. Super savoury and full of umami flavour. And while other places often contains small or sparsely distributed octopus, here they give you large and generous pieces of octopus in your takoyaki.
This is pure comfort food and one quintessential street food that you have to try.
The owner and staff are incredibly friendly. This alone will make me want to come back and try other food from their menu.
Everything here is phenomenal. An absolute must-visit for authentic Japanese street food!
The Breakdown
Takoyaki: Perfect kari-toro texture—crispy on the outside, creamy on the inside, and generous with the octopus.
Karaage: Super crunchy, juicy, well-marinated, and completely non-greasy.
Matcha Sesame Smoothie: An amazing flavor combo. The earthy matcha perfectly balances the rich, nutty black sesame without being overly sweet.
A cozy little spot with amazing street food.
Everything from the takoyaki and bao to the curry and onigiri is delicious, and the new yakisoba menu is a must-try. It’s a small place, but packed with great options. The matcha slushy is super refreshing too.
The owner is incredibly inspiring—she’s built such a great vibe here.
Amazing “chicken” katsu bao. So they ran out of chicken, so I asked them to make the same thing with fish.
It’s crispy and hot, and the cold egg salad is gives it such a great unique texture. The sauce is delicious too.
It’s pretty big as well and quite filling.
The space itself there is just enough for 3-4 people on barstools and there’s one small table outside. Service was pretty quick. Can’t wait to try their other baos and the katsu curry.
