Mulberry Coffeehouse
Finally found a coffee shop where I can spend a few hours and enjoy it. The coffee is excellent - smooth, well-balanced, not bitter. But the real win is the patio. It's huge, right on the main corner, sunny, great energy from the street but still relaxed enough to read, work, or just chat. Lots of tables, good service, and they don't rush you. New favorite spot in the neighborhood.
Visited yesterday just as another random stop. I must say it is a very cozy caffe, a hidden jem of Hamilton. Multiple food and drinks options with a variety of vegan food available as well. Staff is very professional and nicely spoken. Everything came out quick and fresh. Their chick pea smash wrap was one of my favourite ⭐️
Will highly recommend :)
Staff at the counter were so nice, coffee is amazing too. 5 star service there.
I have celiac and asked if I could modify sandwiches with their gluten free bread. The woman at the counter said it should be okay if it doesn’t go through the toaster. She wrote notes for the kitchen staff and I felt pretty confident.
The sandwich came out toasted and the woman at the desk had left. I asked the kitchen if they toasted it and they looked confused. They had toasted it and when I asked if they could redo it, both kitchen staff started raising their voices about how they aren’t a gluten free kitchen. I asked if I could just get untoasted bread and they laughed and said “you want cold bread?”. Just super disrespectful and obviously didn’t listen to the notes from the counter staff.
Couldn’t eat the sandwich and feel like the kitchen staff were way over aggressive. Definitely don’t order food if you’re celiac/gluten free.
Once again, Coffee/Counter staff were very nice, probably great food if you don’t have any allergies!
After dropping a friend off at the Go station, I was in search of a coffee place. I am so happy I found mulberry coffee house! It is a very cozy atmosphere, with a very nice food menu. The barista was so friendly and happily answered all of my questions. I love the brand of flavour syrup they use for their lattes. They also don’t charge extra for oat milk!! Will definitely visit here again when in the area.
It is a nice place for a coffee or lunch. The building of Mulberry Coffeehouse was constructed in 1887 as the Armory Hotel. Although it has been renovated over the years, the original brick walls, tiles, floorboards, and ceiling decorations have been preserved. Bathed in sunlight and filled with the aroma of coffee, time seems to slow down.
