What A Bagel
What A Bagel takes three generations of bagel making experience, and compacts them into every bite. Richard Farbman, the founder of What A Bagel, worked with his father for over 10 years in the wholesale bagel industry. In 1997, the vision was set out. Richard took everything he knew about the wholesale bagel-making process and great customer service and packed it in to a single retail store.
Today, there are nine What a Bagel locations through out the GTA, and growing. Richard’s sons operating the three corporate locations, and with the six franchises, what a bagel is a fast growing business. With What a Bagel’s unparalleled bagel production, it’s clear that three generations of bakers produce the perfect recipe for bageling success.
I have been going to various what a bagel locations and I love them! Their bagels are absolutely always fresh and consistently always taste great!
They have lots of varieties of baked goods and you can get breakfast/brunch/lunch bagels with different toppings. Everything is always very fresh and very tasty!
I ordered a tuna on a twister. The tuna was really generous. I ordered avocado on it too, with some veggies, the twister was fresh but also easy to chew, so I leave there with a sandwich that was easily a full meal. I will gladly return again and again for that kind of experience. :))
Bagels may be good but the staff are RUDE. Very disorganized. First time here, stood in line and then was told I had to bring my own bagel. Back to the end of the line. 20 minutes to get a bagel. Ridiculous The women who made my bagel yelled at me as she was annoyed because she can’t hear and didn’t wait for a response from me. I replied to her THREE times . Really. Poor service. And you lost my lost my business on the first visit
My dad bought a bagel and it has some sort of bristles in it. I'm glad I saw it before he ate it, I don't have time to drive hin to the hospital. I've been going there for years, as the owners have swapped and it's really lost a step. Nobody seems to care about this incident, there's been radio silence on multiple attempts to contact them. Stay away.
Went on a Saturday morning and it was quite busy. You ask for bagels/bread from a guy before you get to the counter. At the counter, they take your bagel and make a sandwich.
We got a tuna and an egg salad sandwich with lettuce, tomato, sprouts, and onion. Pretty fresh and tasty although Mister found the tuna a little dry/bland.
Staff friendly and helpful.
I generally go to What A Bagel to get a day-old bread to take home. Why does the bread have to be sliced so thick? You get only about 10 slices per loaf ..it will barely fit in the toaster. It's way too thick for sandwiches ... two slices and you can only taste the bread, not what's in the sandwich.
What a Bagel at 8010 Bathurst in Vaughan has amazing customer service! Things started on the wrong foot in that when I got to the store to pick up my order, there was a mix-up or a misunderstanding and the order wasn't ready. Since I had a limited break time from work and I had to go back, I couldn't stay and wait for the order to be prepared. I was visibly upset...and hungry. The staff was apologetic, but I wanted someone to fix the situation and offer a resolution. And that's exactly what happened - I was delivered the food as initially ordered and got an extra of bagels! Thank you, WAB! You really owned up to your mistake and made me happy as a customer who will undoubtedly will be coming back and recommending others to visit you!
Put my jacket on a chair at an empty table so I could order a bagel at the serving counter; was yelled at across the room by the manager to “remove” my material, I had to make a reservation and wait 20 minutes ! How pretentious. How rude. All this just to buy an overpriced bagel !
I like to come here for breakfast when I can, nothing crazy but good value for what it is. The best part for me is coming in early for a meal and on my way out getting some fresh bagels and/or whatever special they've got while it's still warm. Overall a good bakery and breakfast place all in one :)
We just ordered egg with toasted bread and they charged us for a pack of bread. She did not ask for type of egg and put scramble egg, We asked for return and she refused, she even refused to give us our receipt. Their behavior was rude. It was our first and last time. After eating, even the bagel was so hard and not fresh like other location that we had tried.
I do not recommend this location at all. Especially, this brand menu is different in each location which confuse you.
Great place to get a classic, hollowed out bagel. Made fresh, with awesome options to add to your bagel. Love the quick service, which they had a better toaster situation- I like mine double toasted, but I seem to only get either not toasted enough, or way way too toasted-blackened!!
Great baking tucked away in a strip mall on Yorkmills Road. I stumbled on this while heading to a supermarket looking for a late breakfast. The name is deceiving - though they have baskets full of fresh bagels (which you can have filled or have some spreads on them) there are also shelves of other specialty baking - croissants, danishes, etc.
Great spot.
