PG Clucks
The guy with the turban was extremely rude and couldn’t even speak proper English. I told him I’d leave a 1-star review for the service, and right after I placed my order, he said “your order is canceled, we don’t serve you here.” I’ve been coming here for years because the food is good, but the service has become unbelievably bad. I really wish they had someone who could speak proper English and handle customers respectfully. The so called manager didn’t even bother to speak to me. Very disappointing experience.
I came by around 7:10 PM on Thursday and unfortunately had the worst service and attitude I’ve ever experienced at this location. I’ve been coming here for a long time and always enjoyed the food, but this visit was very disappointing.
I placed an order for 45 pieces of the Signature Chicken Sandwich, but the employee refused to make it. I then said I would just get one sandwich for myself instead, but he still refused to help and closed the window in my face.
This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially toward a regular customer. I hope this issue will be addressed, and that the employee’s attitude changes otherwise, it may be my last visit to this location.
Thank you for taking the time to look into this matter.
PG clucks more like PG sucks. Horrible food, was really dissatisfied, to much batter was chewy and oily, idk what the cooks tn were cooking but he was on the phone with headphones in. Bad service as they denied to remake or give some sort of compensation. I came here ordered 40 dollars worth of food and didn’t like anything except the potato salad. It was like taking a bite out of oil, never one to write a bad review but over all would never go here again. Spend your money on Rudy’s across the street much better then this i promise. Only reason this has one star is because I can’t give it zero 😂
Tried the Spicy Classic Chicken Sandwich with Fries Supreme, and it was absolutely worth it! The chicken was crispy, juicy, and had the perfect level of spice, while the fries were loaded and delicious. Everything was fresh, hot, and made to order, which did mean a bit of a wait (about 15-20 minutes), but the quality made up for it. Great flavors, great experience—definitely coming back!
Spent about $20-$25 total.
Takeout review:
Overall spiciness of the sandwiches was a little disappointing. Spicy but def not hot like other Nashville hot chicken sandwiches I’ve had. Fries are nothing special - pretty generic. Also the chicken pieces aren’t bone in chicken, they’re more like dark meat chicken strips.
i have been a repeat customer of PG Clucks for over a year now, every time i have it i am always astounded at how good it is! tender, juicy, good quality meat and a great selection of sandwiches. just the kind of chicken shop toronto needs!! the honey and jalapeño sandwich is a 10/10 every time and has become a fan favourite amongst friends! the fries supreme are a great addition to the menu, and to any order. i’ve only ever ordered take out, but i hope to visit in-store someday soon!
The food from here was ok, not horrible but also not that great. I had ordered the classic chicken sandwich, and my friend ordered the jalapeño sandwich. We added cheese but apparently you can’t make any other customizations. The food looked really good but honestly, the chicken was not that crispy and the bun was soggy. I waited about 10 mins before I ate it so maybe that’s the cause but it was disappointing. The portion size was good i almost finished, right when I got to the end there was a large clump of fat. But over all the meal was average.
One of the contenders best fried chicken sandwiches in Toronto. The classic sandwich is huge. Get it spicy. It compliments the buttermilk ranch sauce really well. I also appreciate the chicken used. It's chunky and not stringy. I believe they use thigh meat instead of the breast to achieve this.
