RUDY

I came here with my boyfriend because he was craving smashburgers. We came for dinner and there were many tables to choose from. It was bigger inside than I thought.

My boyfriend had The Crudy and I got the Rude Dude with pickles along with a small poutine to share. I loved the classic poutine, you can't go wrong with it. The gravy was delicious and there was a good amount of cheese curds. My burger was pretty good, the veggies inside tasted fresh. I enjoyed my patty, it had crispy and slightly smoky edges. It had all the components of a good burger done right for me.

And lastly, I got us the Banana Pudding for dessert. One thing about me, I love Banana Pudding and I will never turn some down. And honestly, it was wonderful. The dessert was rich, you had to dig in there to get the perfect balance of banana, cream, and the wafers. But every bite of that dessert was delicious and worth it.

Overall, this place was a 4/5 for me and we'd come back again.

Everyone was super nice. Came in around midnight on a Wednesday. I stg the fries they serve are McDonald’s fries it was so good. Burger was nicely smashed, not too salty either. I don’t remember Rudy being this good last time I had them, would return!

Only been here once and it wasn't bad, especially for the prices, although I haven't been here in a couple of years.

I love Five Guys Burgers, but Rudy's is better.

What I would NOT recommend is their poutine; the fries were too soggy and gravy was not hot enough, so cheese was not melted. Do yourself a favor and skip the poutine, unless you know for sure their poutine game is amazing and they just had an off-night the one time I went.

I would come back though for their burgers.

I google searched‘burgers’ around my location and Rudy popped up. A Smash burger joint which looked quite interesting. I decided to try it out for a late night snack.
Ordered a ‘Rude Dude’, which is a double patty smash burger, with fries and a strawberry shake! The burger was surprisingly good especially the crispy crunchy burnt edges of the burgers!
Fries were a little thin for my liking but still decent. The shake was a little sweet but still an ok shake.
The service was great. Friendly and polite. Very clean establishment with about 30 seats. Parking can be tricky as there is no dedicated parking space. Opened late night which is a plus. Price is affordable.

First time trying this place.

We ordered the following:

1. Poutine with extra cheese curds. Their curds were so good! Squeaky!

2. Skinny fries

3. Thick cut fries (better than the skinny ones).

4. Rude Dude - can't even explain how good this burger is. lol

Would definitely order it again!

Great for a late night craving

First time at Rudy Restaurant and I’m seriously impressed! The smashed burger was insanely good—fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. You could taste the quality in every bite. The staff were friendly, the service was quick, and the whole place had a laid-back, welcoming vibe. Definitely one of the best burger spots around. I’ll be back for sure!

Rudy Restaurant absolutely nailed it! Their fresh smashed burgers are on another level—crispy edges, juicy center, and packed with flavor in every bite. Just had the best burger of my life at Rudy Restaurant! The smashed burger was perfection—crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. Everything tasted super fresh, and the bun held up beautifully. Rudy’s is a total gem! I stopped in today and tried their smashed burgers—honestly, best decision ever. Super fresh, perfectly cooked, and bursting with flavor. I had the absolute best experience at Rudy Restaurant today! Their fresh smashed burgers are next-level—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. You can really taste the quality in every bite. Tried Rudy on Eglinton and honestly, it was a big letdown. The place felt cold, outdated, and not very clean, which already gave off a bad impression. The burgers were especially disappointing—paper-thin patties that were barely noticeable, yet priced the same as places like Happy Burger or Rosie’s, where you actually get quality and value. Calling this a “smash burger” is misleading when the patty is so thin you can hardly taste it.

I also tried the fried chicken, and it was clear it had been cooked in old, burnt oil—greasy, heavy, and far from fresh. It feels like the management here is just riding on the Rudy name without delivering the quality that made the original College Street location so popular.

With high rent, lots of competition in the area, and this level of quality, I can’t see this location lasting long unless major changes are made. Disappointing overall.

The service was top notch. The food was fresh, absolutely delicious 😋 The staff went over and beyond to help us up the stairs with a new born in the stroller 👍Would recommend to anyone. Kudos to the gentleman working

It was a snowstorm, I turn to my friend and say I need a Rudy burger. To our surprise there was a Rudy just tucked into a corner by Eglinton and mount pleasant, I had never seen this one before (and we’re both big Rudy fans). This place exceeded expectations, incredible service, (shoutout to sahib!), crispy fries and incredible burgers. This has to be the best Rudy ever. Thank you Rudy, never dissatisfied never disappointed 🙏🏼🫶🏻

My friends and I tried the cheeseburger, double burger, and fries, and overall, the food was good. The burgers were well-made and enjoyable, making it worth a try. The staff was friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive experience.

The prices matched the quality, which was fair.

One thing to note is that the saloon was quite cold, but they provided a small portable heater to help customers, which was a nice touch.
Plus, the fact that they’re open until 4 AM makes it a great spot for a late-night bite.

Rudy is a decent burger place. I personally don’t see the hype. I tried the Valentino, smash burger and poutine. Everything was good but absolutely nothing special. I can confidently say my burgers taste better.

They have always served such amazing burgers. The fries are delicious and shakes are made very well. They have fried chicken sandwiches that are incredible, some of the best I’ve tried. The service is helpful and are always very quick whether buying in store or for pickup or delivery. The quality is also the same no matter what.

I have tried many burgers but for me this place is the best. Luckily it’s in my neighborhood and id been ordering this burger for a couple of time.

The reason for the 4 star rating is I wish they have combos with regular fries . I like poutine but not so much to having it with my Rudy burger.

Also, I’m not a big fan of chocolate in general BUT the brownie it’s great.

Incredible smash burgers!! We are new to the neighbourhood and were craving burgers so decided to try out Rudy’s and I’m so glad we did!! Their burger sauce was delicious and we will absolutely be frequenting this spot. The staff were also incredibly friendly. See you again soon :)

The poutine tasted fabulous. I visited the place earlier this month. Has the most amazing food quality and the Rudy special burger was also delicious

Good smash burger. Got the single Crudy. Tasty sauce. I recommend getting the double based on the bun ratio. Nice crisp on the edges. Price-wise, it's not a good value for money. Every now and then, it's a solid smash burger. I don't see anyone sit down at this place but has a large enough dining area for the neighborhood. 3.5.

Good service great size portion had to combo Rudy burger with fries and and a pop. Enjoy it very recommend Smashburger.

I recently enjoyed eating at Rudy's Restaurant and tried their Rudy cheeseburger. The burger was excellent on its own. The patty was juicy and medium-rare, grilled to perfection. The bun was nicely toasted and fresh. And at Rudy's, the service was superb. The personnel was friendly and inviting. The entire experience was genuinely fulfilling. I will highly recommend this for others .

Had an amazing experience the other day at this location. Staff were super friendly and accommodating to my relatively complex order. Kitchen staff were incredible and packed my order nicely.
