Sugo
Casual Italian eatery serving classic comfort fare like meatballs sandwiches & spaghetti.
We had an amazing experience at Sugo! We tried the Rigatoni and it was absolutely delicious. The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was rich, creamy, and full of flavour, and the portion was very generous.
Honestly, this was one of the best pasta dishes we’ve had in Toronto. Every bite was so satisfying and we enjoyed it so much that we’re already looking forward to coming back and trying more dishes.
The food, atmosphere, and overall experience were all fantastic. Definitely a must-visit for anyone who loves Italian food!
You really can't go wrong with the menu at Sugo. Everything we ordered was classic, comforting, and packed with flavor. The owner is genuinely nice and welcoming, which just adds to the great, authentic neighborhood vibe. We started with the calamari, which was perfectly crispy, and then tried both the traditional spaghetti bolognese and the pesto spaghetti, both of which were delicious and generously portioned. For the main, the eggplant parm was a standout—perfectly breaded and smothered in sauce and cheese. Overall, incredible quality and a fantastic meal, we will definitely be back.
One of the best pasta spots in Toronto! The pesto cream pasta and the mozzarella sticks are absolute must-tries. The staff are incredibly energetic and friendly, making the whole dining experience even better. I’ll definitely be recommending this place to my friends!
This place lived up to the hype. We stumbled upon it through ChatGPT after browsing through various options and reading reviews. The enticing descriptions convinced us to give it a try. We arrived at 12 PM on a Saturday afternoon, eager to indulge in lunch. We opted for one of their specials, the fettuccine. Based on the waitress’s recommendation, we decided to share the rigatoni, a decision that turned out to be a wise choice.
New Yorkers are known for their appetite, and we were prepared for generous portions. However, we were pleasantly surprised by the size of the rigatoni. While we understood that portions can vary outside of New York City, we were still impressed by the substantial serving.
The meal was a delightful experience, with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. We ended our culinary journey with a decadent tiramisu, which transported us straight to Italy. My boyfriend was particularly impressed by the flavors and the creamy texture of the tiramisu. I highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you’re looking for a memorable dining experience.
Keep in mind that this place can get quite busy, especially on weekends. We had to wait for a table, but we were patient and enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The restaurant has a small indoor space, which was a bit cramped due to the rain outside. Despite the limited seating, we managed to find a spot and had a wonderful time.
INCREDIBLE!!!
We waited a little bit for a table to open up because the inside is small and very cosy but boy was it worth it. Every single thing we tried was PAAAACKED with flavours, huge portions and great quality. The service was also great, we definitely felt taken care of. Thank you.
Top recommendations are the burrata bruschetta (drool) and their special which was a fresh tagliatelle pasta. Oh my I wish I could go back already and try all the other items.
