We were looking for a nice dinner close to our hotel and found this lovely little place right next door. We were seated in the heated section adjacent to the sidewalk and immediately noticed the plush blankets they supplied but which we didn’t have need to use. Our seating did come with an open-air window that made for fun people watching while we enjoyed a delicious appetizer of seasonal tomatoes and burrata, and a dinner of spaghetti (but with a nice thick noodle) and fennel meatballs that we shared. Add in a couple glasses of the house Chianti and we had a really nice meal, all served by Hannah whose friendliness made it a really nice experience. We will absolutely be back.
The food and service were both excellent. We ordered the crostini trio, and the staff kindly added an extra flavor on the house, which was a nice touch. Every bite was delicious. The chicken dish was also well-executed and very enjoyable.
The arugula salad was fresh and tasty, though the portion was quite generous for just two people, and we couldn’t finish it. The atmosphere was great as well. We came close to closing time, so it wasn’t particularly busy, which allowed us to enjoy a relaxed meal without ever feeling rushed.
The only issue came at the very end. Since we couldn’t finish the arugula salad, we asked for it to be packed to go. When I opened the container the next day, however, it contained a completely different pasta dish. Since I had no idea whose food it was, I ended up throwing it away.
What happened to my arugula salad? 😂
Other than that small mix-up, everything was wonderful, and I’d happily come back again.
Enjoyed their patio, I love the vibe there. Food was ok - I had higher expectations. The mushroom campanelle (first photo) was greasy and had a strong pork flavor. I doubt it was prosciutto, likely pork fat. Couldn’t eat much, but the waiter was kind enough to exclude from the bill. The gnocchi (second) were great - soft texture, nutty flavor, I enjoyed that meal a lot.
This place was truly amazing starting with a warm welcome and our wonderful waiter Brett,
We order all 3 Crostini and they were delicious the chicken liver is a must try! - Burrata with Prosciutto., We also order from the happy hour menu- “A mix green salad,
For main course to share- Rigatoni pork ragú,Ricotta Gnocchi, Campanella, Brick chicken with roasted potatoes,.
For dessert we had the sticky toffee pudding and a tiramisu 🥰everything was delicious! Will definitely be back and recommending to friends.
Food was pretty good. I had the special pasta spicy lamb sausage rigatoni. It was very good and they make great pasta sauces with well cooked pasta. Brussel sprouts during happy hour were very tasty and portion size was good. My friend had a vegetarian spaghetti pasta which also had great flavour. I ordered a happy hour beverage, I think it was something about a plane. It tasted good and I would try another variation or their cocktails again.
Overall food was good. Service is okay. For a weekday it wasnt very busy, but I felt like they wanted us out. We were only there for 2 hours. One thing I did not like was hour noisy the restaurant was. I felt like I had to shout to talk to my friend who sat across from me. Tables were tight and the people next to us almost smacked my friend in the face while putting on her jacket. I lost my voice after 2 hours and did not want to stay anyways because I couldn't stand the noise anymore. Would come for the food, but not great to meet a friend for a conversation.
